Google Goes Gaga For Lady Gaga!

During her hour-long Google Goes Gaga chat at Google headquarters yesterday, I-D cover girl Lady Gaga was presented with questions submitted by fans from around the world at the media giant’s Oakland, California headquarters. Head below to watch Gaga discuss making her directorial debut with the video for next single “Judas,” and to hear her call “Friday” singer Rebecca Black…a genius?!

Gaga was posed with questions ranging from what her pajamas look like to how she maintains the “Stefani Germotta” part of her personality through all the fame. But Google got a bit of an exclusive when she was asked about upcoming Born This Way single “Judas.”

“Actually, I can exclusively reveal here at Google that I will be making my directorial debut with Laurieann Gibson, and directing this video with her ourselves,” Gaga said. “It’s no surprise, I’m sure, to many of you that Judas is a man of the Biblical senses. So expect to see some symbolism in this video.”

Gibson is, of course, Gaga’s frequent choreographer, who most recently worked with the fashion-conscious singer on the “Born This Way” music video.

She then offered up a few lyrics from the song: “When he comes to me I am ready, I’ll wash his feet with my hair if he needs / Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain, even after three times he betrays me / I’ll bring him down, a king with no crown.”

Later the chart-topping pop singer was asked about budding artists like viral video star Rebecca Black finding instant fame via YouTube. And while she said she hasn’t seen the much-discussed (and much-maligned) “Friday” video, Gaga said, “I think it’s fantastic. I say Rebecca Black is a genius, and anyone that’s telling her she’s cheesy is full of shit!”

What do you think—is Rebecca Black truly a genius? She’s at least maybe one of the wealthier 13-year-olds out there.
