Beyoncé - "Schoolin' Life"

J.R. Taylor Choreography

Jennifer Hudson is feeling like a winner these days. At the 2011 Met Gala, the singer-actress wore a taupe gown evocative of the look she wore to accept her Oscar. Jennifer's Vera Wang strapless gown, with a full ivory underskirt, complemented her skintone beautifully. Though, this look may have wanted for some more exquisite jewels. Thoughts?

Paying homage to the late designer and the theme of the Met Gala, Beyonce donned a familiar silhouette with an Alexander McQueen gown. The high-necked embroidered gown channeled a Spanish bull fighter with a tulle hem. Sasha Fierce is on the scene!

Feathers were a popular choice at the 2011 Met Gala—Lala Vasquez also joined flock. Arriving on the red carpet with Carmelo Anthony, Lala was quite the confection in peach tulle layered over wispy feathers. With a sweetheart neckline, tulle shoulder and ribbon sash, Lala appeared to be vying with Kate Middleton for princess status.

Ciara opted to wear a McQueen inspired Prabal Gurung gown to the Met Gala. The songstress accentuated her, ahem, assets with the dresses' sweet heart neckline. The soft blue and white ombre textured confection was worn with long shining curls and accessorized with black bracelets, an unusual choice.

John Legend's model girlfriend Christine Teigen is clearly still feelin' the whole Black Swan sartorial moment, giving actress Lucy Liu (also clad in feathers) a run for her red carpet money. Christine left little to the imagination in this molten feather and lace dress with a high front slit, peekaboo chest and bodysuit underneath.

Fergie looked like an 80's bride in a strong shouldered bead saturated evening gown at the Met Gala. Complete with a matching headpiece, the songstress glittered in the tulle confection with a dramatic train and intricate embroidery. Do we love it? No. Does it work for Fergie? Certainly.

Kanye West isn't one to miss out on a fashionable event! The rapper and style maven wore a sleek black suit with a bow tie, custom designed by accompanying Tory Burch. Kanye looked dapper in the slim fitting pants and black patent wingtip shoes. Tory doesn't normally design men's wear, but after Kanye sported a woman's Celine tunic on stage, we don't put anything past him!

Rihanna showed up in an unexpected look for the Met Gala. The dark seductress wore a one-shoulder sequined rose Stella McCartney gown with strapply black platform sandals. The choice to wear her hair in a long red braid was a peculiar one, but it's hard to question the daring Rhi Rhi.

Mommy-to-be Jessica Alba opted to truly glow on the red carpet in a gold lame' strapless gown with a light layer of tulle. The actress channeled a princess with a delicate crown in her sweet updo. We're not crazy about the dress, but Jessica always manages to look incredible.

Zoe Saldana is a somewhat recent convert to Calvin Klein Collection and, while some miss the drama of her days in Givenchy Couture, the streamlined designs of designer Francisco Costa (also Zoe's date) look wonderful on the actress' lithe frame. At the Met Gala 2011, Zoe was simply chic in a yellow strapless column gown.

Taylor Swift vamped up the Met red carpet in a frothy nude and black J. Mendel Couture gown. The young songstress played up her fair complexion by wearing a tonal organza design with a layered train and puckered up in a deep red pout. Taylor's famous curls were swept back for this elegant Old Hollywood look.

When Jennifer Lopez gets dressed, she must stop and ask herself, Will this get me noticed? There was certainly no missing J.Lo at the 2011 Met Gala: The American Idol diva was a standout in Gucci's hot hot fuchsia cutout halter gown with a pink-and-scarlet bolero. She finishes the look with matching red lips and mani and a hot pink lizard clutch.
