Lovers of Marchesa's deeply romantic red carpet regalia will not be disappointed by Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman's Fall 2011 collection. The gowns shown at the pair's Center 548 presentation on Wednesday were typically dramatic, with no shortage of tulle, lace, feathers and embroidery.
The most successful looks, however, were those that played on a vampish cue: sheer bodices featuring gothic black and red lace were darkly enticing. Voluminous ruffled collars are sure to make quite the statement for the Hollywood girl competing for a prime photo opp.
As always, Marchesa drew quite the celebrity following, with Michelle Trachtenberg, Vanessa Hudgens and rapper Eve making notable appearances.
