Beyoncé - "Schoolin' Life"
Friday, May 6, 2011
The stripped-down song actually works nicely with the (deliberately) bare-bones video, which was directed by Declan Whitebloom (with input from Taylor). The band filmed their performance at the old Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Grammy winner, music video designer, cover girl — what can’t she do? (Whatever you do, don’t say “sing”.)

"They're over," a source tells our friends over @PEOPLE about the short-lived relationship. "It ended last month."
No reason was given for a split, and the stars reps didn't have immediate comment, but the two spent the holidays – and their birthdays – apart.
Swift, 21, rang in 2011 in Nashville, solo, at a party, while Gyllenhaal, 30, was in New York, where he attended a closing party for Broadway's Fela! on Jan. 2. While in the Big Apple, Gyllenhaal was also spotted dining with his mother at the Spotted Pig.
After spending Thanksgiving weekend together, the two were last seen publicly together on Dec. 9 in Los Angeles.
Gyllenhaal and Swift were first spotted together in October backstage at Saturday Night Live – followed by a brunch in Brooklyn. • Reporting by CARLOS GREER and KAY WEST

A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: “It’s an Oscar-worthy bracelet -- nearly 30 carats of colorless diamonds set in white gold. It cost Jake about $100,000, but he wanted to do something special for Taylor’s birthday.
“They love coffee, so he sent her 21 pounds of the best Kona coffee available, along with a coffee grinder and a coffeemaker. And he made her a birthday card, as opposed to buying a generic one!”
As well as Jake’s efforts to please Taylor, the singer is also doing her best to make the actor happy, with her friends claiming she has even changed her style to suit her boyfriend’s tastes.
One insider explained: “She’s decided to get a more sophisticated look. She’s buying from stores like Chanel, Prada and Hermes.”
As well as the bracelet and the coffee, it has also been claimed that Jake paid $11,000 for a guitar signed by country music icon Chet Atkins for his girlfriend.
A source said: "He spent the weekend in Nashville with her and she saw the guitar in a tiny store which a lot of A-list musicians use.
"He was originally going to buy it just as a gift but it ended up being perfect for her birthday.”

"It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group," the singer, 21, says on the Jan. 3 episode of the Rachael Ray show. "Because all these different reasons. Well, Katy Perry would be so much fun. She’s just like crazy fun and like spontaneous."
Swift continues, "Diddy has always been very nice to me. Justin Timberlake is the same way, he’s really funny. And, Sheryl Crow is really down to earth and really cool. And like, J. Lo would be a really good dancer!"
Noticeably absent from her list is one star she's been seen with recently: Jake Gyllenhaal.

As for how she'll mark the landmark, Swift, who is dating Jake Gyllenhaal, played coy when asked about celebrating during a Monday morning radio interview.
"Plans? For my birthday? This is it! This was all I planned for," Swift joked to Nashville DJ Gerry House on WSIX. "It snowed yesterday, you know, so that kind of limits activities. I may sit inside my apartment and pretend I'm in a snow globe."
But the singer did receive a morning serenade: Along with a birthday card, the radio show's cast and crew presented Swift with a rendition of "Happy Birthday."
Swift says despite hitting the milestone, "I don't feel older all of a sudden. It's a state of mind thing, how you see the world, being excitable, staying excitable and impressionable and doing your best not to become jaded or bitter. I think keeping your mind and your heart open keeps you young."
Asked whether she felt overwhelmed by all her life now holds – including news that her latest CD, Speak Now, has already gone triple-platinum – she said, “Things feel really good on this birthday, really great in fact."
She says she wrote "21st Birthday!" on her calendar "really big," but "that's about as far as it went for the day."
Swift, however, did reference some possible evening celebration, saying with a laugh, "Later on I might have plans, but not really during the day."
Though she’s recently spent several days in L.A. with Gyllenhaal, she Tweeted that Sunday night she stayed home in her new Nashville condo, "dancing around my room alone to @pink's greatest hits cd," after two band mates had dropped by with birthday hats and a pizza lit with 21 candles.

Taylor Swift Planning Christmas-Themed 21st Birthday Party
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 1:52 PMShe explained: “I love having a Christmas themed birthday party so people can give each other presents at my birthday party, so it’s not so much a spotlight birthday [thing] -- especially with a 21st birthday where people are like, ‘Huh? Huh? What’s she gonna do?’
“I didn’t want it to be a crazy club thing, I just want it to be very me and the me thing to do would be to have a Christmas birthday party.”
Taylor certainly has a lot to celebrate this year, since her latest album Speak Now broke sales records in its first week of release earlier this year, and she admits it took a while for the news to sink in.
On hearing the news she told Access Hollywood: "That was just a crazy phone call to get. To have the phone call with my mom and dad on the phone and my record label president says, ‘I guess you’re my million dollar baby!’ I was like, ‘Are you serious? Are you talking in code? Are you saying what I think you’re saying, because if you’re saying that, I’m gonna need a minute.’”

The country-pop star’s newest album Speak Now debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart this week, selling a staggering 1,047,000 copies, the largest sales week since 50 Cent’s The Massacre moved 1,141,000 units in March 2005.
Swift not only joined the milli club, but she also earned the second-largest sales week of a country album since 1991. Garth Brooks is the only artist since then to cross the seven-figure mark, selling 1,085,000 copies of his 1998 album Double Live in its opening week.
That's a good look Taylor, now let's see Kanye try to snatch this title out her hand! Guess we have to wait until his album is released in Dec. Say It!

Taylor Swift's wax figure was unveiled today at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in NYC. The "Mine" songbird posed with her statue—which, compared to the museum's previous pop star recreations seems to have missed the mark—after an appearance on Regis And Kelly earlier today. We're sure all of the Speak Now singer's ex-boyfriends will be glad to learn that they now have a place to go and healthily vent their frustrations at Taylor's portrayed them in her lyrics. Tell us how you think the Grammy winner's wax twin compares to the real thing.
