Britney Spears’s last few videos — particularly the joyfully silly clip for “I Wanna Go” — more than make up for the travesty that was the pop star’s video for “Gimme More”, her lead single from Blackout. The stripper concept was a poor choice, the barely-there outfits were ill-fitting, the “choreography” was a joke, the editing was sloppy… and now we get more of it! A new cut with additional footage surfaced online, showing us scenes of Brit off the pole and into the streets. Compare both videos below.

They couldn’t have added a few dozen more shots of her ass? Because we could definitely use a few more.

Basically, it looks as though the editors cut out only cut out a few scenes from the final product — Britney strutting down the street in an unflattering outfit, Britney laying down in a zebra-print bed in an unflattering outfit while a cat hangs out with her, Britney going topless while working the poll — and added one new element: blonde Britney watching herself amateurly shimmy. Neither the deleted nor added parts add or subject anything from the experience. This video was kind of doomed no matter how it was edited together.

The song, however, is still pretty great.

Spears, who weathered a fair amount of criticism for her use of pre-recorded vocal tracks during her "Circus" world tour not too long ago, even appeared to sing live through a couple of the numbers—with the aide of a backing track, naturally. Judging by videos uploaded to YouTube, Britney is sticking to the less-than-demanding choreography she used for Femme Fatale promotional appearances, but given the length of her set, we can't blame her. It didn't really matter: Britney fans were more than satisfied with the spectacle.

Nicki Minaj's opening act was not quite so impressive, according to Rolling Stone's report. Barry Walters wrote, "Although she's styled as a dance-pop diva, Minaj did little dancing — or singing, or even live rapping," later adding, "[As] a showcase for her considerable talents, her Thursday night performance lacked the commitment of her records."

Maybe she was just having trouble commanding the stage under the weight of her newest wig.

Also of note: During her performance of "Till the World Ends," Minaj's rap verse was presented in a pre-recorded video. Given that Minaj was likely still in the house, the choice to revert to a  recording was straight up weird.

Keenan CahillKeenan Cahill is taking over the Internet one poorly lip synced song at a time. In his latest upload, the YouTube sensation takes on Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends" at the Bahamas' Atlantis Resort.

The video is his most elaborate production to date, thanks to some slick editing and a futuristic-looking background. Britney makes a brief cameo in the video, although it's obvious that she filmed her spot from a separate location (50 Cent once joined Keenan in his bedroom). Yet the video seems to have generated a mostly negative response, with many fans complaining the essence of Keenan's vids is getting lost in the hoopla. One commenter noted, "You've gone downhill now because you think you're famous...get back to your bedroom and actually lip sync please."

But Cahill has reason to be proud of himself: He's delighted Britney, who tweeted Tuesday, "So adorable! Thanks @KeenanCahill. I love it..."

This week, her seventh studio album Femme Fatale was certified platinum in the United States. Spears has now sold 32 million certified albums. What's more, the album's #1 debut on the Billboard 200 in March made her the only woman with 6 albums to debut in the coveted top spot.

Spears tweeted her appreciation for her fans Friday, writing, "Just want to thank my incredible army of supporters all over the world for embracing Femme Fatale. You are my everything."

It’s official. Nicki Minaj will be hitting the road with Britney Spears on her summer tour.


After reports surfaced earlier this month, sources confirm to TMZ that a deal was finalized several days ago. Britney and her team are said to be “elated” with the trek’s new opening act after Enrique Iglesias pulled at the last minute.

Those involved with the negotiations believe the Young Money raptress will create even more buzz for the pop superstar’s tour, which kicks off on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif.

Nicki is currently traveling the country with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Travis Barker on the “I Am Music II” tour, winding down on April 29 in Canada.

It’s Britney and Rihanna, bitch. Two of the world’s biggest female pop stars bust out the whips and chains on the remix to “S&M,” originally included on RiRi’s Loud album. The newly-minted version of the tune sees Brit getting naughty alongside the Bajan babe, taking over for the second verse and adding some stinging lyrics to the fold.

“Just one night full of sin/ Feel the pain on your skin/ Tough, I don’t scream mercy/ It’s your time to hurt me,” coos the Femme Fatale.

The ladies’ collaboration happened after RiRi asked her fans who they would most like to see her work with. “In order to do a Rihmix, it had to be major!” she told Z100’s Elvis Duran. “It’s very strange because Britney doesn’t do features. She never does. And it was really amazing that she really wanted to be a part of this song. … It made it really, really special because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore.”

She hopes to shoot a video, although nothing has been planned. “I hope so… I want to spank Britney,” she teased.

So, why did Enrique Iglesias pull out of his co-headlining tour with Britney Spears right after it was announced? Billboard reports that although money was a factor — Britney was slated to make several times more than the Spanish singer would rake in during the tour — most of it was simply the perception that Enrique was Brit’s opener, not her co-headliner. And Enrique is nobody’s opening act!

“Iglesias is a headlining artist and has been for some time, and would carry his own fully themed production on the tour,” the mag reports. “The language in the carefully-worded press release — which was withdrawn from certain outlets shortly after it was sent today — stated the pair would ‘tour together’ but stopped short of calling it a ‘co-headlining’ tour, the phrase commonly used for such superstar pairings as Billy Joel and Elton John, for example.”

We certainly can’t blame Enrique for feeling slighted that his co-headlining tour was made out to seem like he’d be opening for Britney.

But why drop out of the tour pretty much immediately after it was announced on Good Morning America? Why not sit on it for a day, or reach out to media outlets to make sure they point out its a co-headlining tour so the public is fully awarer? Why not make these demands for equal money and exposure before announcing the tour?

And why does Britney need a co-headliner, anyway? Her Circus tour made bank! We don’t think she’ll have any problem selling out arenas all by her pre-recorded self.

Carson Daly is tweetin' mad that he is required by Britney Spears' management to pre-record his interview with the pop star, and hand over his tapes so Team Britney can edit it to their liking. He says most interviews are "never that restricted. Even when I interviewed Michael Jackson, it wasn't anything like this... it's really insane."

at something seems not quite right within the walls of Brand Britney, but now, for the first time this era, a celebrity has spoken out about Britney’s current situation.

Popular TV and radio personality Carson Daly, who has worked with Spears multiple times in the past, put Britney’s management on blast yesterday, publicly calling out the pop legend’s team for the amount of control they are wielding over her publicity this era. In a series of Tweets, Carson revealed that in order for him to interview Britney, their conversation needed to be pre-recorded, and then Carson would have to hand in the tapes to her team so they could be edited and censored overnight, before being ready for public consumption.

Carson then stated that he suspected that Britney herself was probably unaware of the situation.

It's a big day for Britney Spears fans – and confusing.

The singer's seventh album, Femme Fatale, is officially out and Spears announced a summer co-headlining tour with Enrique Iglesias during her pre-taped appearance on Good Morning America, which aired Tuesday.

It turns out she was half right.

First, Billboard.com reported that Iglesias had pulled out of Spears's summer tour.

Then a rep for Iglesias said that that despite "initial reports" based on "formal discussions" the pair would possibly tour together, Iglesias is now continuing on his own for his new album Euphoria.

"Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work," the rep says. "He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone."

Spears's trek is scheduled to kick off on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif., and wraps up Aug. 13 in Toronto. For a full list of tour dates, visit the pop star's official Web site.

Britney Spears allowed MTV cameras to follow her around as she recorded and continues to promote her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, and what we get (as evidenced by the first trailer) isn’t much of a behind-the-scenes look as it is an everything’s-totally-cool in Brit World. Okay, okay—so by the time Britney Spears’ San Francisco pre-taped performance aired today on Good Morning America, we’d kind of seen it all before: from the same three-song medley she offered up last Friday in Vegas, to the photos and fan videos taken at Sunday’s taping of the GMA gig. Still, today was the first time we got a clear, high-quality look at Britney’s latest spectacle (which she’ll be expanding for her just-announced tour with Enrique Iglesias this summer). Britney offered few words between songs during her set at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, even when she was presented with a plaque and told that the city had officially dubbed the day “Britney Spears Day.”

At the end of the gig, she did say this to her gathering of 6,000 fans: “Thank you so much for all your love and support. You guys are beautiful. I love all of you so much. Thank you!”

It's Papa Zao time again for Kevin Federline!

The former backup dancer and onetime rapper is expecting his fifth child this summer – his first baby with girlfriend Victoria Prince, a source tells DIDNTINVITEME.

Federline is already a father of four: sons Jayden, 4, and Preston, 5, with ex-wife Britney Spears; and son Kaleb, 6, and daughter Kori, 8, with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.

This will be Prince's first child.

Federline, 33, and Prince, 28, a former professional volleyball player, have been dating for more than two years.

Critics aren’t the only ones weighing in on Britney Spears just-released album Femme Fatale —even Brit’s onetime All-New Mickey Mouse Club co-star/fellow pop icon Christina Aguilera couldn’t help voicing up about the album. “Hey @BritneySpears Congrats on Femme Fatale release! Can’t wait to see what you bring in the next video. xo,” Xtina wrote on Twitter about an hour ago. Awww. It’s sweet to see these two playing nice.

Britney’s Circus Tour opening act Jordin Sparks also took to Twitter to sound off on Femme Fatale. “Just bought @britneyspears new album! WHOOOO! Such good memories being on the Circus tour,” Sparks wrote. She then tweeted at songwriter Claude Kelly, “You KILLED it with this Gasoline record!!! :)”

At any rate, Xtina shouldn’t have too much longer to wait to see what Brit brings in the “Till The World Ends” video. The singer, whose Good Morning America performance aired this morning, shot the video earlier this month.

After a killer set from "Jersey Shore" star DJ Pauly D on Friday night (March 25), a montage of Britney Spears' best video moments played to a hyped crowd at Rain nightclub inside the Palms Casino and Resort. Once the videos wrapped, the crowd went even crazier as the Femme Fatale herself hit the stage.

Spears sported a stunning sequined bodysuit and performed her first song of the night, lead single "Hold It Against Me." Flanked by sexy male dancers, she sashayed her way through the song, which included sexy hair-tossing and a wind machine.

For her second song of the night, Spears debuted the will.i.am-produced track "Big Fat Bass." Her dancers hit the stage in bright yellow, while Spears opted for a body-hugging latex bodysuit. She emerged from a speaker box, and the appearance had her fans screaming. The track was remixed to include past hits like "3," "Slave 4 U" and "Gimme More." She danced around the stage and climbed up on speakers as she danced to the track.

Britney kicked it up a few futuristic notches for her latest club banger, "Till the World Ends." The stage was filled with ladders, LED lighting, dancers and Spears in a black latex bodysuit covered in red lights. She clearly was having a good time, smiling to her fans. Her choreography was decidedly sexy, including flirty dance moves with her male dancers.

At the end, Spears ascended the ladders and ended up on a platform, gyrating from above the room. As fireworks lit the stage, Spears danced and tossed her hair as the song closed. The room was filled with electricity and excitement.

The performance was being taped by MTV for a special airing next week. A teaser will debut Tuesday on MTV, the same day Spears' latest album, Femme Fatale, hits stores.

Britney's son Sean Preston (Pacific Coast News)Looks like any drama between Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline has become ancient history! The former couple (plus Brit's current beau Jason Trawick) reunited amicably for the second weekend in a row at their son Sean Preston's Little League game.

Photographers managed to snap pics of all three adults at the Calabasas, Calif. game over the weekend, and sources say they only chatted with each other briefly. It's allegedly the first time Spears and Federline have been photographed together since their split in 2006.

Maybe things were less awkward because Federline (who coaches the team) also brought his current gal, Victoria Prince.

In the clip, Britney is surrounded by previous incarnations of herself as seen in her entire videography played on a cage of television screens and monitors. She floats in gown (resembling a wedding dress, though we’re not positive that was the intention), battles herself in a dubstep duel, and shoots paint out of her fingertips. (Certainly more original than having anything burst out of her chest, Katy Perry-style.)

The video was directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the same man who turned Gaga and Beyonce into eccentrically-dressed criminals in the “Telephone” video. In this clip, however, Åkerlund transforms the vanilla candle lover into what she already is: a pop star who commands your attention in every frame.

Those lips looks straight out Rocky Horror (as well as recent videos from Kylie and Rihanna). The floating dress imagery is giving us chills, though, as well as Britney duking it out with her mirror image. Nicki Minaj’s confrontation with her evil side in Kanye’s “Monster” video is now our second favorite instance of a pop star having a showdown with herself in a video.

Our favorite thing about “Hold It Against Me”? No product placement! Except for, of course, the brand of Britney Spears. But you were going to buy that anyway.

Fresh off his performance with the Black Eyed Peas at Sunday’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, will.i.am hit the studio with Britney Spears to work on her upcoming album Femme Fatale.


While walking the red carpet at the L.A. premiere of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never on Tuesday, the BEP frontman revealed that he’s giving the pop siren a rougher edge. “It’s mean, but a nice mean,” he told Extra of their collaboration. “It’s hard, but melodic. It’s aggressive, but smooth. It’s the next level, but today. She’s a sweetheart.”

Will admitted that their chemistry is what made the process simple. “We made music and that’s what I like,” he shared. “When you’re doing things because you just love it, without the, ya know, ‘We need a single’ pressure, when you’re just in there having fun, that’s what I love.”

You've probably already heard "Hold It Against Me," the first single from Britney Spears' upcoming album, but now that album, Femme Fatale, officially has a cover.

Britney's seventh full-length studio album, Femme Fatale is due out March 15th, and the new cover was lifeted from the same photo shoot that produced the cover for the "Hold It Against Me" single. Brit looks disheveled and sexy in the high-gloss image.

While the album isn't due out until the Ides of March (beware!), Britney's real return to the mainstream consciousness will begin later this month when she'll be performing at the Grammy Awards, February 13th. The pop music battle of the year will likely start at the high-profile awards show where it's rumored Lady Gaga will finally premiere "Born This Way," the lead-off single from her upcoming album of the same title.
