Lupe Fiasco teams with Trey Songz in the Gil Green-directed video for “Out of My Head” off his No. 1 album Lasers.

Everyone from Da Brat to R. Kelly has remixed Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation.” Now comes the official remix featuring Busta Rhymes, Trey Songz, and Fabolous. Bussa Buss takes it to the bedroom with a rapid-fire verse (“Lay you down and quickly taste your cream filling”), Trey coos sweet nothings in a falsetto (“Got your heels in the air”), and Loso shuts his mouth in Kelly’s presence. This one will definitely make mama proud.

The trifecta of R&B gentlemen Tank, Chris Brown, and Trey Songz unites on the remix to “Celebration.” The original, which features Drake and appears on Tank’s latest album Now or Never, retains the same beat complemented by the smooth stylings of Breezy and Trigga Trey, whose idea of a good time includes private slumber parties, champagne, and foreplay. Break out the bubbly and get this freaky party started.

Even as his latest album, "Passion, Pain & Pleasure," continues to churn out singles -- including the latest, "Love Faces" -- Trey Songz is hatching plans for its successor.

"I want to release an album this year," the Atlanta-based R&B singer tells Billboard.com. "We're starting in the studio now. I'm always thinking about music. I'm in the studio whenever I can be. I'm not pressed or in a rush to make an album right now, but I always have a need to make music."

Songz isn't making any predictions about what kind of direction his fifth studio set will take, however. "No, not right now. I'm feeling very creative, though, so it may be something I've never done before. There's always a certain amount of pressure there, but I like that. With every album, I definitely want to grow my audience as well as myself."

Snoop Dogg commands the ladies to work the pole on “Dirty Dancer” featuring Trey Songz, a cut off his upcoming album Doggumentary (March 29). The slippery banger, produced by Trilogy Muzik, swings the spotlight on hotties with bodies. “This girl body out the game, she a home run/ She my dirty dancer, I owe her one/ System overload, brain overdone,” raps Tha Doggfather before Trigga Trey croons on the chorus. Trey Songz serenaded the ladies of “The View” earlier this morning with a rendition of “Can’t Be Friends,” the second single from Passion, Pain & Pleasure. Dressed in a jacket, vest, and tie over black leather pants, Trigga Trey fronted a backing band while hitting the high notes on the sensual jam, chatting afterward about meeting surprise guest Prince backstage.

“It was amazing. They didn’t tell me who I was meeting, [...] and I was kinda shocked a little bit,” said Trey, who clarified who he makes music for. “I just make the songs that the ladies want to hear. I sing for the ladies and I speak for the men.”

J.Cole was brought out as a special guest for Drake’s Light, Dreams & Nightmares tour and later hit the after-party at the Greenhouse Nightclub in NYC in a The Brooklyn Circus Varsity Jacket ($250). This lightweight jacket showcases a sailor blue with cream/burgundy detailing with calf-skin leather sleeves, satin lining, and a chenille “B” logo positioned at the chest. Do you like the look?

Trey Songz also came out to Drake’s official after-party for his Lights, Dream and Nightmares tour at the Greenhouse Nightclub in NYC. He was spotted wearing a Chicago White Sox fitted cap and a Dolce & Gabbana satin track jacket ($725). This athletic inspired zip jacket features a satin finish with a logo plaque at the chest, and sporty stripes down the arms.

Trey Songz had the biggest debut of his career this week with the release of his fourth album Passion, Pain & Pleasure. The R&B sensation came in a close second to Linkin Park’s new offering A Thousand Suns, entering at No. 2 with 240,000 copies sold in its first week on the Billboard 200—a mere 1,000 units less than Suns.


The 25-year-old heartthrob bested his previous first-week sales record by over 100,000 copies, with last year’s Ready bowing at No. 3 with 131,000 units moved in the first seven days. Its lead single “Bottoms Up” featuring Nicki Minaj also peaked at No. 13 on the Hot 100 chart, up four spots from the previous week.

Eminem dropped a spot to No. 3 with Recovery, though it gained 10 percent in sales on the strength of Em’s opening performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Rihanna also had a big week over on the Digital Songs chart, with her new single “Only Girl (In the World)” bumping Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are” from the top spot. The Barbadian singer logged 249,000 downloads, making the carefree tune her eighth No. 1 on the chart and sixth debut at the top.

Bottoms up! Trey Songz toasted to the close of his “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” tour last night at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. His tourmates Monica and Dondria joined him onstage for the finale before he heads out on the road with Usher in November. Jay-Z stopped by backstage to show his support and Fabolous hit the stage for “Say Aah.”

Tremaine showered praise upon his tourmate. “What can I say about this woman? Sixteen years she been in this business,” he said while Monica stood by his side. “She’s a strong example of a beautiful, black, strong mother, woman, sister. I love you and everything you stand for.”

Mo echoed the sentiments. “Last night was beautiful. U helped make the touring experience wonderful for me,my children & fam. And I truly thank you,” she tweeted to Trey after the show.

The King was back on the red carpet at Trey Songz’ Passion, Pain & Pleasure release party presented by Target. The rapper, looking preppy in a collegiate cardigan and glasses, posed for photos with his labelmate and former NBA player Jalen Rose. VIP guests mingled on the sprawling rooftop of Ventanas in Atlanta as DJ Don Cannon provided the evening’s soundtrack. Usher’s new tourmate will wrap his headlining tour this week in New York.

Trey Songz links back up with “Bottoms Up” director Anthony Mandler for the official, finished version of his video for “Can’t Be Friends.” Unlike the previously leaked clip with the timecode on the bottom of the screen, this edit shows a clear shot of the shirtless heartthrob looking into the camera as he agonizes over being unable to pursue a relationship after it was already consummated.

Trey Songz steps outside the box in the teaser for “Bottoms Up,” the first single from his new album Passion, Pain & Pleasure. Director Anthony Mandler (Rihanna, Jay-Z) provides the dark, carnival-esque visuals to the club record, while Nicki Minaj raps like Anna Nicole Smith.

“‘Bottoms Up,’ I feel, is a very creative video. [It's] different from the norm, different than what I feel is expected of me and anything I’ve shot for that matter,” Trey told MTV News. “It’s as if I’m walking through some kind of funhouse, filled with women and different seductive things.”

Trey Songz celebrated Independence Day by performing on Day 3 of the ESSENCE Music Festival at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. He and Mary J. Blige set off sparks when they dueted on their collaboration “We Got Hood Love.” “Just got off stage wit MjB…life is great!! Happy Independence Day, once again. I’m on cloud 99,” an overjoyed Trey tweeted.

Jill Scott, Earth, Wind & Fire, Estelle, and Melanie Fiona also participated in the final day of the festival.

After years of being the underdog, Trey Songz will celebrate his recent success with a new album and joint tour co-starring another R&B survivor Monica.


Passion, Pain & Pleasure is the title of the “Say Aah” singer’s fourth studio album, due in September, and the name of his upcoming tour, which will kick off August 6 in Shreveport, La., and then travel the U.S. through mid-September, culminating with a two-night-stand at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.

“The ‘Passion, Pain & Pleasure Tour’ is not just another show; it will be an up close and personal experience for everyone,” stated Trey. “Come see me perform your favorite songs live and hear new music from my upcoming album, Passion, Pain & Pleasure, for the first time. With the help of one of the best R&B female vocalists out today, my sister Monica, we promise you a night to remember.”

Trey Songz is singing a new tune. While we’ve grown accustomed to watching him enjoy the single life, the R&B playboy is taking himself off the market for Mrs. Right. Trey lends his voice to “Already Taken,” one of the songs from the Step Up 3D soundtrack, in stores July 20.

Ludacris and Trey Songz hit the jackpot with some fine females in Las Vegas. Luda plays a Hugh Hefner type, while Trey channels Teddy Pendergrass in the Chris Robinson-directed video for “Sex Room,” the third single from Battle of the Sexes. The sensual clip was shot at the Palms Casino

Trey Songz has to be the man of the house when his lover, played by Keri Hilson, is deployed to war in the gripping trailer for “Yo Side of the Bed.” The full video premieres next week.

Ludacris and Trey Songz are teaming up by popular demand. Luda has chosen his steamy collaboration with the R&B heartthrob as the third single from his Battle of the Sexes album. And what better place to shoot a video for a song called “Sex Room” than at the Palms Casino Resort in Sin City? Trey channels Teddy Pendergrass, while Chris Robinson is in the director’s chair once again.

“The video concept is really about sensuality,” said Robinson. “[Ludacris] really wanted to do something different, he wanted to do something visually beautiful, really appeal to the ladies.”
