A spokesperson for the couple said: "Actress Christina Applegate and her fiance, musician Martyn LeNoble, welcomed daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble on Thursday, January 27, 2011, in Los Angeles. Mother and daughter are doing great."
Friends of the couple -- who have been dating for almost three years and got engaged last Valentine's Day -- say they are thrilled with the new arrival.
One pal told People: "She's a beautiful little girl, and they are so happy and in love with her."
In late 2010, 39-year-old Christina -- who battled breast cancer two years ago -- revealed she and Martyn, 41, had decided against finding out the sex of the baby and so were finding preparations difficult.
She said: "The nursery is gender neutral because we don't know if it's a boy or girl. I'm trying. It's becoming a bigger project than it was supposed to be, unfortunately."
