Usher is known to be a ladies man, but it was Akon who gave his female fans some eye candy, stripping down during his first show on the second leg of Usher’s “OMG Tour” at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida, on Wednesday (April 27). The bold singer removed his clothing, standing onstage in only a pair of white boxer briefs and socks.
The 21-date trek, which also features openers Tinie Tempah and Dev and The Cataracs in select markets, travels to Toronto, Detroit, and Chicago, before wrapping on June 1 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The “Smack That” hitmaker has set a September 20 date for his oft-delayed album Stadium. His David Guetta-produced record “Angel” can be heard in the new Victoria’s Secret TV commercial and he recently dropped his buzz single “Take It Down Low” featuring Chris Brown.

Shortly after rocking with the Black Eyed Peas during the Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show, Usher announced that he’s planning on bringing his talents to the U.S. yet again. The entertainer will hit the road with supporting act Akon on the second leg of his “OMG Tour” in North America.
Ursh, who toured with Trey Songz and Miguel on the first leg of his U.S. trek last fall, will resume the U.S. portion of the jaunt following the completion of his worldwide tour in April. After traveling to England, Ireland, and Australia, the platinum performer will return to the States for select performances in Atlantic City, Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeles, and more.
The full itinerary will be released this week before Usher takes the stage at next weekend’s 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, where he will perform alongside his protégé Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith.

It’s “Weird Science” status in the video for Flo Rida’s “Who Dat Girl” featuring Akon, the latest single off his new album Only One Flo (Part 1). Checking out a hottie in cyberspace, Flo’s online gal comes to life after a friend spills some bubbly on the laptop, giving way to a fluorescent house party where the pair dances the night away.
“We’re going to find Flo having a magic accident where a girl that’s on his computer that’s this fantastic, perfect girl, becomes real,” explained director Ray Kay of the concept.

Akon Describes Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ As “Crazy” And “Amazing”

Rejoice, little monsters! Lady Gaga’s third album, Born This Way, is at least partially completed — because Akon is already raving about it. The singer, who boasts the Muppets lover on his Kon Live label, tells MTV that he’s listened to the album, and “what I can really tell you about it is the fact that I’m excited — and I’m hard to excite.” We’d be excited, too, if we got a percentage of whatever Gaga was set to make from her highly anticipated third release. More details below:
“If I was going to compare it to her previous work, I would definitely say it’s a notch up,” says Akon. “It’s like she’s slowly taking you on to this journey down this road. If she were to just drastically do it, she probably would have lost everybody from the first album, but once the sound was created and established, now we can use that as a tool to grab all the monsters and walk them down this graveyard. It’s crazy. It’s amazing.”
A stroll through a cemetary? Curious metaphor there, Akon. Though considering he’s talking about the album from the woman who own more blood packets than a Halloween costume shop, it makes sense.
Even Gaga, who has been flying ’round the world recording various tracks for Born This Way, is drumming up the hype on her third release. “Endless melodies, hooks, + poetry sledge-hammering my skull,” she tweeted. “It won’t be much longer, its almost perfect. But I (we) don’t want almost.”
You exicted yet, monsters?

It’s fight night for Nelly and the boys in the Marc Klasfeld-directed video for “Move That Body,” the new single off his sixth album 5.0 (Nov. 16). In the sizzling clip, the St. Louis rapper makes his way to an underground fight-style dance club, meeting up with Akon and T-Pain who hedge bets with T.I. and Jermaine Dupri on the sidelines as the ladies throw it down. Put your dukes up and watch the video below.

Grammy nominees Akon and Keri Hilson go in front of the lens to shoot the video for their charity single “Oh Africa” directed by Gil Green. The song will be available on Grammy Sunday with proceeds benefitting underprivileged African youth, including Akon’s Konfidence Foundation.
“The whole aura of it is so fun—the color, the painting, and the drums,” said Akon of the clip, which also debuts Sunday. “It brings out all the cultural parts of Africa you can ever think of and it doesn’t even seem like a video, it seems more like a work of art that just happens to be a video.”
