Nicole Polizzi (Bauer Griffin)The mayor of Florence was distracted by determining rigid laws about where and when the Jersey Shore could film themselves getting wasted, but meanwhile there was another threat to the picturesque city. Snooki's driving! The miniature reality star crashed her Fiat Multipla into a police vehicle on Monday, causing two officers to be sent to the hospital (they only suffered minor injuries.) According to tests, Snooki, who was sporting a not so fabulous neck brace on Tuesday, had no alcohol in her system at the time of the crash. However because she injured motorists, her license has been revoked in accordance with Italian law.
"It was nothing serious and they have been released, but they will not be back at work for a week," a Florence police spokesperson said. The male and female officer, who oddly enough had been hired to escort The Snooks through Italy, have 90 days to decide if they want to take civil action. It's unlikely they'll bring the guidette to court, but it won't be surprising if they ditch their bodyguard duties for the reality diva.
Fun fact: the Jersey Shore cast has accumulated more than 300 Euros worth of traffic violation fines since they've arrived in the historic city. That's like...60 vodka sodas

The Jersey Shore crew go for a stroll. (Bauer Griffin)Life just got a lot more green for the guidos and guidettes of everyone's favorite Jersey Shore. Entertainment Weekly isreporting that the main members of the cast will be paid $100,000 per episode this coming season -- giving the reality stars enough money to buy their own personal in-house tanning salons, as well as a lifetime supply of hair spray and other cosmetic essentials. Compared to their Season 2 wages, this year's salary bump is enormous. Last year they were only getting $10,000 per episode on MTV's hit show. Not that the cast was struggling financially. Members of the house cashed in on lucrative endorsement deals, as well as public speaking offers -- Nicole "Snooki" Polozzi got paid $32,000 to speak at Rutgers University in New Jersey just last month.
Season 3 of Jersey Shore will begin filming in May and is being shot on location in Italy... as if anyone would ever want to be paid a million dollars to live and party in Europe.

The Situation Hopes to Break into the Movie Biz This Year
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 2:17 PM
The Situation (Mike Sorrentino) has Jersey Shore to thank for his (and his abs') rise to fame, but the reality star says his reign at the boardwalk must come to an end sometime. The 28-year-old hopes to break into the movie biz, and has some other aspirations outside of reality stardom.
The Situation (Getty)"Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be in a movie," he said (via Us magazine).
He's not planning to leave the show for another "year or so" while he makes his big break into films, then he'll have to step out of the reality spotlight and let someone else in.
"It's like Michael Jordan," he says. "There's only so long you can keep winning them rings. There's only so long you can rule the reality world."
For now, The Situation is keeping his focus on the fourth season of the hit show and his trip to Italy. "I'm actually gonna get me some Rosetta Stone" to learn Italian, he said. "I got two months to learn it. My name comes from Italy so I've got a little bit of heritage there. Plus, maybe I can get a hometown Italian chick."

Don't expect to see Chloë Sevigny in any hot tub scenes on the new season of Jersey Shore.
When asked by Interview magazine if there was any truth to the rumors that she's dating the show's star, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, the Big Love actress says, "No, but I wish, because that would be hilarious."
"That would be the weirdest couple in the world. It would be like the apocalypse," she adds. "We represent extremes, in opposite directions. So for us two to come together, it would be a very strange meeting of the minds or colliding of two worlds."
But could there be a romance in the future? While the indie-darling and the reality star might make the ultimate odd couple, Sevigny admits to finding Pauly D "funny and easygoing" on the show.
"I haven't watched that many episodes, but of the ones I have ... if I were to pick one of the dudes on the show, I'd definitely pick him," says Sevigny.

Nicole Polizzi (Getty Images)It sounds like Snooki is going solo. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the breakout star of MTV's Jersey Shore, will be starring in her own reality show.
Rumors had been swirling that MTV was considering a reality show with both Snooki and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, but according to US Weekly, it's gonna be all Snooki, all the time.
"Execs think a show focusing on Snooki will be a bigger hit, so they pushed JWoww out," said an insider speaking to Us Weekly.
If the news is true, it means Snooki will be busier than ever. She's already launching a new hair and beauty line, garners tens of thousands of dollars for public appearances, and is set to become a published author with the early 2011 book, A Shore Thing.

Like a confident, well-seasoned drag queen stepping onto the stage at the local gay dive, Jersey Shore diva Snooki flipped on her cam yesterday and demonstrated how to properly lip sync to the masses. Lesson #1: it’s all about the right nails. And the second biggie? Exaggerated literal gestures are key. Watch Snooki make Britney Spears proud by miming to “Sometimes” below, and trust us—that part about running and hiding will never seem more poignant.
