Willow Smith took over Washington earlier today with a performance at the White House during the annual Easter Egg Roll. The pint-sized popstress, clad in a plaid yellow skirt, white tee, and hair in a fierce Mohawk, celebrated Easter one day late with her raucous set, during which she debuted her new song “Rockstar” and delivered her hits “21st Century Girl” and “Whip My Hair.” She and her Warriorettes crew also got down to Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)” and Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance.”

The Roc Nation singer put everyone back in the Easter spirit, encouraging her young fans to put their Ws in the air as she filmed them for Facebook. “Are you guys ready to hunt for some eggs?” she asked the excited crowd.

Willow Smith springs out of the desert sand in the video for “21st Century Girl,” the infectious second single off her upcoming Roc Nation debut. In the colorful clip, a gypsy played by actress Cicely Tyson raises the pint-sized popstress from the arid ground, soon joined by a gang of girlfriends who run with wolves and tug on chains to erect a city from the earth. To celebrate their urban creation, Willow and co. throw an impromptu dance party in the middle of the street.

“Willow’s colorful desert look was inspired by vintage Versace, borrowing shapes from Marie Antoinette with very current pops of color,” Brea Stinson, who styled the 10-year-old singer, tells Didntinviteme.net “The overall video was inspired by everything—the movie Blade Runner to Japanese street culture. 21st century girls aren’t afraid to take risks and live their dreams, and we did our best to showcase that in the wardrobe.”

Zoom into the 21st century by watching the bouncy visuals.

Willow Smith rolled into her “Whip Your Skates Back and Forth” party at Fleetwood Roller Rink in Summit, Illinois, earlier this week. Clad in an aqua blue tracksuit, the pocket-sized pop star hosted a meet-and-greet with fans to discuss her “I Love Me” campaign, meant to encourage kids to love themselves and show respect for each other. After posing for pics, the “Whip My Hair” singer strapped on her skates and hit the rink. Roll with Willow below.

After impressing music fans with her debut single “Whip My Hair”, Willow Smith is now gearing up to release her next single. Titled “21st Century Girl”, the song is teased in a short audio and expected to make the cut to her upcoming first studio album. “It’s a dance record. I know you love to dance,” she said.

The single is likely to make its way out sometime soon. In support of the forthcoming track, a music video is currently being prepared. The 10-year-old Roc Nation artist filmed it in a location in California on Saturday, January 22. Willow’s hair was braided, and she wore bright-colored outfits for the shooting.

The little girl was joined by her celebrity parents; Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as her child-actor brother Jaden Smith. Rumor has it, Jaden’s “The Karate Kid” co-star Jackie Chan was on hand for a cameo as well.

It’s about to be a hard knock life for Willow Smith. Following in her family’s footsteps, the “Whip My Hair” singer is in discussions to star in a remake of the 1982 musical film Annie.

The 10-year-old phenom, who previously acted in I Am Legend and Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, would play the big-haired orphan adopted by a millionaire. Her father Will Smith, who developed the $350 million blockbuster The Karate Kid starring his son Jaden, would produce through his company Overbrook Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures.

On the music side, Willow’s Roc Nation boss Jay-Z has been approached about handling musical duties. The hip-hop mogul has his own Annie connection, having sampled the musical’s theme song on his 1998 hit “Hard Knock Life.”

While the film is currently in development, the pint-size diva is prepping her Roc Nation debut, slated for a spring release.

Soulja Boy caused a firestorm after claiming that he wrote Willow Smith’s breakout hit “Whip My Hair.” “YES ITS TRUE I WROTE ‘WHIP MY HAIR’ FOR WILLOW SMITH,” tweeted the 20-year-old rapper. “THATS WHY SHE SAYS HOP OUT THE BED TURN MY SWAG ON. WE GETTING $$$ 2011 NO GAMES.”

Now the real songwriter-producer behind the record, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins’ protégé JukeBox, has responded by rapping over the beat he made for the 10-year-old singer. “Soulja say he ghostwrote it ’cause that’s right he wasn’t there,” spits the hitmaker, who also tweeted, “My house must be POPPIN! cuz i had NO IDEA soulja was in my house when i did that song! #invisibleswag??”

In the description for this clip on YouTube, Jukebox wrote, “Just having some fun. i get what soulja was tryin 2 say, but ehh…”

I totally understand what Soulja Boy was trying to say.  I'm sure he got some kinda pay for using that one line "HOP OUT THE BED TURN MY SWAG ON" because in Jazmine Sullivan's "Bust Yo Windows" at the very end she ad libed in the studio "Now watch me youuuuuuu"and guess what?!?!?!? Soulja Boy actually got publishing off that song.  So say what you want, but $$$$$$ Werk!

Willow Smith blasted into the new year on a giant boombox to perform her ubiquitous hit “Whip My Hair” during “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.” The 10-year-old singer switched it up for 2011 with a remixed version of her single. Watch Willow turn the volume all the way up and look for her Roc Nation debut in March!

Willow Smith, performed “Whip My Hair” at the Highline Ballroom Saturday afternoon for the Power Live Holiday Party with her parents Will and Jada and brother Jaden watching from the balcony above. The pint-sized star kicked off her performance by emerging from a giant Xmas present wearing a bright red jumpsuit and a brand new bowl cut — perhaps in honor of her upcoming European tour with Justin Bieber? Jump below to catch the wee pop lass thrilling the crowd with her neck injury-inducing jam, which just debuted at #2 on the U.K. singles charts.

Willow Smith is pretty much the coolest kid around, and it makes total sense that she'd get her advice from her equally awesome parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and another famous couple -- Jay-Z and Beyonce!

Willow and Jada (Bauer Griffin)Asked which celebrities give her advice, she said: “My mom, my dad, Jay-Z, Beyonce. That’s probably it. They give me advice like, ‘Have fun.’ ”

Despite having famous parents, the "Whip My Hair" singer still gets excited when she meets other celebrities but insists she is always able to keep her cool when she meets her idols.

She said: “I’ve met Lady Gaga. She was awesome. Was I starstruck? Not really. I was very cool. I kept my composure.”

One area Willow doesn’t take advice from other people is in her wardrobe, insisting she chooses all her own clothes. She said: “I just be myself. I choose my own clothes. It’s schoolgirl meets punk rock.”

It may be on past her bedtime, but that's not going to stop Hollywood prodigy Willow Smith from whipping her hair at Dick Clark's annual New Year's Eve bash.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve has revealed its top guests to DIDNTINVITEME, and they include La Roux, Ne-Yo and Natasha Bedingfield, in addition to Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's 10-year-old daughter.

Millions tune in every year to watch the iconic ball drop. Clark, 81, has served as producer and host of the ABC broadcast nearly every New Year's Eve since 1972.

Willow Smith popped out of a Christmas gift box and put on quite a show last night at the LA Live 2010 holiday tree lighting at Nokia Plaza. The 10-year-old whipped her candy cane hair back and forth while dancers dressed as wind-up toys rocked out. Willow's parents Will and Jada cheered her on from the audience.

Willow Smith (Bauer Griffin)Willow really got everyone in the Christmas spirit with her jam, even though it wasn't as holiday-oriented as the evening's other performances. No one seemed to mind, though -- after all, everyone needs to really up their swagger this time of year.

Willow tweeted after the show: "Had so much fun at L.A Live's Tree Lighting!! Thanks to everyone who came out and whipped their hair (: You guys were awesome!"

Other stars took the stage last night, too, like legend Stevie Wonder, the Plain White T's and even Jersey Shore's Pauly D had a piece of the action. The event also marked the opening of the outdoor ice rink, so Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek made the first laps around the ice to kick things off.

Willow Smith can take credit for turning "Whip My Hair" into an instant hit, but she's giving her famous family props for giving her those mad skills.

Willow and Jada Pinkett Smith (Bauer Griffin) She said: "Mommy and Daddy inspired me to be a performer. I get my flow from Daddy, my singing ability from mommy, and the camera stuff from both."

Will and Jada must be so proud that they've churned out two of the hottest young stars around. Their oldest kid Jaden is now an actor (and friends with Justin Bieber!) and Willow says their success was in the cards. "That's just what happens when you hang with the Smiths!" she said.

Even though she's blowing up the charts with folks twice her age (and much older), the young star knows she's still a kid and has to act like one. She said: "I can't do whatever I want. Mommy has to say it's okay," she said.

What if "Whip My Hair" was a slow jam?

On his talk show Tuesday night, Jimmy Fallon – as his alter-ego, Neil Young – decelerated Willow Smith's hit single, bringing an emotional warble, some acoustic guitar and harmonica to the self-empowerment anthem. "Don't let the haters keep me off my grind," Fallon, as Young, sang. "Keep my head up, I know I'll be fine. Keep on fighting until I get there. When I'm down and I feel like giving up, I think again."

Midway through the song, the Late Night host got a little help from musical guest Bruce Springsteen, who chimed in on the chorus, adding a craggy, grizzled, "Whip your hair," as Fallon sang.

The guys were mostly stoic in their heartfelt – and affectionately joking – rendition, but we would have loved to see some hair-whipping to accompany the crooning. Next time!

Willow Smith made her television debut on Tuesday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” performing her breakout hit “Whip My Hair.” The 10-year-old fashionista kicked it off by singing a few lines from Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World)” before busting out her empowering anthem with her Warriorettes crew.

“I was really nervous,” said a hyperventilating Willow following the performance. Ellen chatted with her and presented her with a customized neck brace so she can continue whipping her hair in style.

Willow Smith is attracting as much attention for her over-the-top style as for her catchy pop hook for “Whip My Hair” — but are either as buzz-worthy as her amazing hairstyles in the video? We went straight to the source, hairstylist Marcia Hamilton, who called creating the looks for the video “an absolute blast. These looks were a collaborative effort between Willow, Jada, Fawn Boardley and myself.” One of the video’s show-stoppers is Willow’s heart-shaped fauxhawk, which was challenging to create as one might think! “Creating the ‘Heart Hawk’ was a bit of a challenge, but after tons of individual braids and many sticks of glue, I did it,” Marcia explains. And as for the pink-topped style for one of the video’s killer dance sequences, Marcia tells DIDNTINVITEME, “‘Cotton Candy Dream’ was fantastic. These were done also with pieces that I hand colored. We loved the idea of a soft frothy pallet for this structured silhouette. I graduated the tones from rich and intense at the roots to soft pastels at the ends.” So was all the hard work worth it? Absolutely, according to Marcia, who gushes, “I really enjoyed every step of the creative process and was thrilled to see it all come to life on Willow!
