Beyoncé - "Schoolin' Life"

We doubt it’s a coincidence that a photo of Rihanna appears next to the caption “What Men Crave In July” on the cover of the July issue of Cosmopolitan. There will be no cooling off with this touring hottie during the scorching summer months. The mag also promises: “She finally reveals her deepest feelings” (what, Cosmo doesn’t follow the blunt diva on Twitter?), though we’d be equally satisfied with a fluff piece on what it’s like to have a pillow fight with Britney Spears.

Nick Cannon aims for the laughs with the parody video for “Famous,” the Akon-assisted single from his forthcoming album. The comedian-rapper imitates icons including Michael Jackson, KISS’ Gene Simmons, Fred Astaire, and MC Hammer, as well as those with fleeting fame such as “Bed Intruder” Antoine Dodson and “Golden Voice” Ted Williams.

“I always say, everybody in a nightclub is famous. Everybody getting their shine on, everybody ballin’,” Nick says. “It’s one of those songs that when it comes on, you can dance like you famous, drink like you famous, party like you famous.”

After flirting with Drake (“What’s My Name?”) and spicing up the bedroom (“S&M”), Rihanna is getting serious with her latest video for “Man Down.”

The clip for the reggae-infused song, co-written by fellow Bajan Shontelle, contains a compelling message for women. “Very strong underlying message 4 girls like me! #listentoyomama,” explained RiRi.

The Barbados beauty flew to Jamaica last month to shoot the visuals with director Anthony Mandler (“Only Girl”), filming scenes on the beach and in Portland, a parish on the island’s northeast coast.

The video for “Man Down,” the fifth release from last year’s Loud, is set to premiere Tuesday on BET’s “106 & Park.”

There are plenty of songs out there about all sorts of silly little topics, but Lil Mama’s “Lip Gloss” still stands out as one of the catchiest ditties about pretty much the most trivial thing an artist could possibly sing about. Now the America’s Best Dance Crew judge has returned to the hip-hop scene with a new song, “On & On & On.” Hear it below, and watch a featurette that takes us behind the scenes with Lil Mama recording the track.  Shout out to Tyren Redd for the Photo!

The 21-year-old rapper has aged a bit since her days of singing about lip gloss, but still manages to have fun, dropping in references to Kit Kat bars and an homage to the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize.”

This track has a lot of the fun flavor that made “Lip Gloss” a big hit, and suggests that Lil Mama may not end up being a one-hit wonder after all if there’s more like this on the way.

Sean Kingston is in the hospital after being injured in a jet ski accident near Miami Beach on Sunday afternoon (May 29).

According to CNN, the “Beautiful Girls” singer, 21, and a female passenger were taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital after their watercraft crashed into a small bridge around 6 p.m. local time.

Kingston’s publicist confirmed that the singer was in an accident. “No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes,” the statement said.

While some reports suggest he is in critical condition, hip-hop artist Trav, who featured Kingston on his song “Life Style,” visited him at the hospital. “He is good in stable condition,” he told told CNN via e-mail.

His fans and famous friends flooded Twitter with their well wishes. Tourmate Justin Bieber wrote, “got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight. a true friend and big bro. please keep him in your prayers tonight as well.”

Nicki Minaj, who collaborated with him on “Letting Go (Dutty Love),” added, “My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family,” while his fellow islander Rihanna tweeted, “Sean we praying for u baby.”

While we have a great deal of love for a number of divas out there, we have to admit that few of them manage to keep it as classy as Alicia Keys. The woman who took loving New York to a whole new level brought her gorgeous self to the pages of W, practically oozing the sophistication we’ve come to expect from this Songs In A Minor singer. We assume husband Swizz Beatz is out having these framed right now.

There's been a big last-minute change-up on the X Factor judging panel: Cheryl Cole is out and Nicole Scherzinger's in! Execs made the surprising decision and now there's been a flurry of rumors as to why the former Pussycat Dolls singer was moved from co-host to judge.

Cheryl Cole (Bauer Griffin)The first rumors about the switch indicated that British pop star was axed because her accent was too thick for American audiences to understand, but apparently that's not really the case. Now we hear it was a chemistry thing.

"Throughout the whole decision making process, Simon was really torn between Cheryl and Nicole. He absolutely loved Nicole, really felt like she was the right one, but also knew his chemistry with Cheryl had been great before in the U.K. He finally decided on the more comfortable option and chose Cheryl," a source said (via Us magazine).
But, Simon Cowell then realized he'd made a mistake. "With the pressure building for this show to be a success, Cheryl was a much bigger risk and instinctively, as time went on, Nicole felt more and more like the right choice," said the insider. "Nicole was so disappointed before when she wasn't picked, but now, thankfully, she is in the role she was always meant for. And Simon knows that."
So, for now, that leaves Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Nicole Scherzinger in the judges panel, while Steve Jones will handle hosting duties solo. Auditions kicked off in late March and the show will debut in September.

Lady Gaga pushed it to the limits during her performance on the “American Idol” finale. Perched high atop a rock formation, the warrior princess sparkled in a bra, panties, and headband as she sang her new single “The Edge of Glory,” playing the piano and getting frisky with a male dancer as the E Street Band’s Clarence Clemons played sax. In true Gaga fashion, she closed with a bang, leaping off the ledge.

Moments after releasing it online, Beyoncé debuted “1+1,” the opening track from her upcoming album 4, live on the “American Idol” finale. “This is my favorite song,” said B before flexing her vocal chops in a purple dress with red lights and smoke surrounding her. The performance earned her a standing ovation from the judges and crowd at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre.

Six of “American Idol’s” top female contestants took the stage during the “Idol” finale to perform a medley of Beyoncé’s greatest hits including “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” “Irreplaceable,” “Get Me Bodied,” “If I Were a Boy,” and “Deja Vu,” before being joined by B herself for “Crazy in Love.” Ain’t nothing like the real thing, baby.

Kim Kardashian (Bauer Griffin)Kim Kardashian's fairy tale life just got the last dose of perfection. Her boyfriend of six months, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, has proposed to the starlet with a 20.5-carat diamond Lorraine Schwartz ring.

Humphries rolled out the romantic red carpet for Kim -- on May 18th she arrived to her Beverly Hills home to find the basketball star kneeling on one knee in her bedroom floor with "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" written with red rose petals.

Kardashian told People about the proposal: "I didn't expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Humphries and Kim's mom Kris planned an intimate celebration with family that night -- decorated to the max with mini-horses covered in glitter!

Kim, who kept coy about the engagement for a week, said back on Valentine's Day: "He just has a really good heart. There has to be trust and honesty and chemistry. If you don't have any of those, it's never going to work."

Congratulations to the happy future married couple!

Over a month before its release, Beyoncé rolls out the tracklisting for her fourth album 4. B keeps the collaborations to a minimum on the 12 tracks, only enlisting André 3000 for “Party,” while lead single “Run the World (Girls)” closes the album. Get a peek at what you can expect on June 28.

1. “1+1″
2. “I Care”
3. “I Miss You”
4. “Best Thing I Never Had”
5. “Party” feat. André 3000
6. “Rather Die Young”
7. “Start Over”
8. “Love on Top”
9. “Countdown”
10. “End of Time”
11. “I Was Here”
12. “Run the World (Girls)

A bold Tiffany Evans takes on Beyoncé’s “Speechless” for the world to see. The 18-year-old vocalist, who was previously managed by B’s father Mathew Knowles, turns her bedroom into a stage, belting out the ballad with conviction. Does Tiffany’s cover leave you speechless? Watch below.

Amber Rose (Getty)For a brief moment in time, it was rumored that NFL star Reggie Bush was getting awfully cozy with Kanye West's former flame Amber Rose. At the 2010 ESPY Awards, Rose was reportedly spotted giving Mr. Bush a lap dance in public, but neither of them ever confirmed they were a couple.

Now Amber, who covers VIBE's new "Sexy Issue," has admitted that she and Reggie were a thing. She said, "Me and Reggie dated very briefly after Kanye...We were both each other's rebound and we both knew that and were cool with that."

Amber has since found love with rapper Wiz Khalifa, but she considers herself more than superstar arm candy. In fact, she thinks she's more relatable than Reggie's ex, Kim Kardashian: "I don't have rich parents and it's a struggle. I can't just call my dad and be like, 'Dad, my money is a little messed up. Can you buy me a car or a house? It's not like that for me. I feel like more people will relate to my story than the Kardashians or the Hiltons."

Beyonce killed it not once but twice on American Idol last night, and if you had any doubts that Bey’s vocal theatrics are somehow manufactured in a studio or aided by fancy theatrics, Jay-Z quells all doubts. Hova secretly taped his missus rehearsing her new ballad “1 +1″ backstage at the Nokia Theater before performing during the Idol finale, and it’s a dress rehearsal worth watching.

After performing on Lil Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” tour and her upcoming slot opening for Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj is getting ready to hit the road solo. Young Money’s First Lady is sharing plans for her own tour in 2012.

“Next year, I’ll be headlining my own tour,” the “Super Bass” rapper told UsMagazine.com, “So this is my time to be a student and to learn and to absorb all of this information and then take that knowledge and create an amazing Pink Friday tour at the top of 2012.”

She may have new music to perform by then. The hip-hop Barbie previously teased about her sophomore album. “You’ll get another album within 12 months,” she told KIIS FM’s JoJo. “You’ll get the announcement for the next album in September.”

Before she heads out on her own, she will pick up some tips from Britney Spears on the pop star’s “Femme Fatale” tour starting June 17. “I’m honored to be out with Britney. She’s freakin’ paved the way for pop culture,” added Nicki. “We are in talks to hit the stage together but that is up to her. I would love to, of course. If we do something on tour, it will probably be the ['Till the World Ends'] remix. I’m sure there are so many things I’m going to learn just by watching her.”

Beyonce Knowles’ highly-anticipated music video for “Run the World (Girls)” made its debut last night in the US, and it was the fashion-packed extravaganza we were expecting.

Here is a rundown of her looks.

She starts of wearing a red Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 dress with gold embroidered detailing which she paired with Alexander McQueen Grinling Gibbons gold heeled thigh-high boots from the same collection.

For a neck breaking dance routine Beyonce dons a black Norma Kamali fringed number with a golden harness and a black bustier. I loved the fringed Alexander Wang heels with this look.

Next we get a look at the gorgeous Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture gown I spotted from a very grainy photo in the desert.

As water bathes Beyonce she looks ready for war wearing a black Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2011 Couture black number with cut-out details and a tailcoat.

The golden girl stomps her way through the next scene wearing an ultra short Gareth Pugh Fall 2011 turtleneck dress which she teams with some pretty spectacular gold mirrored Gareth Pugh ankle boots whilst a car is in flames in the background.

Beyonce wore an Emilio Pucci Spring 2010 yellow gold embroidered dress as she kicks off an energetic routine with her crew. Sergio Rossi Gladiator boots with studs and feather details completed this look.

Next up was another Emilio Pucci gown, this time from the Fall 2011 collection. The green goddess long sleeve gown with a slash detail, thigh-high split and a sequined sleeve must have been glued to her as she’s really dancing hard during this scene.

I’m sure many of you will be running hard to this track at the gym like I will.

“Saturday Night Live” is going out with a bang. The late-night variety show will close its 36th season with host Justin Timberlake and musical guest Lady Gaga. The pop superstars met up during rehearsals today in New York City.

“Don’t be jealous ladies ;). I laughed so hard today I cried,” tweeted Gaga, who is expected to appear in a sketch with J.T. and comedian Andy Samberg.

Watch Justin’s “SNL” promo below.

Nicole Scherzinger made her network television debut performance of “Right There” on Thursday’s “American Idol.” The ex-Pussycat Doll heated up the stage in a show-stopping dress while performing the first single from her U.S. solo debut Killer Love, due August 16. 50 Cent emerged to join his labelmate as she and her dancers showcased island-inspired moves.

Jay-Z performed at the 2011 Adult Swim Upfront at Roseland Ballroom in New York City styled in Balmain leather punk jacket ($5,107). Also in attendance and pictured below are Ne-Yo, Pharrell Williams in a BBC Wolfman Jacket, rapper Fabolous wearing a Louis Vuitton sweatsuit/t-shirt/sneakers and Swizz Beatz wearing a green quilted leather biker jacket and rocking a Reebok x Basquiat t-shirt.

American Idol’s 10th season is almost to a close, and it seems difficult to remember that this time last year, most people had written a Simon-less Idol off. (Fools!) The Hollywood Reporter took a look back at the reality juggernaut’s tumultuous – and ultimately, triumphant – past year, interviewing the people behind the scenes for all the backstage drama. Find out who Steven Tyler should be thanking for putting his name into the running by jumping below for the five most revealing tidbits of Idol’s cover story.

5 Things We Learned From The Hollywood Reporter’s American Idol Cover Story

1. Kara DioGuardi was the one who recommended Steven Tyler to Randy Jackson as a possible judge. Randy then brought the idea to the attention of the Idol producers.

2. Jennifer Lopez, a huge Idol addict, was on everyone’s (including Simon Cowell) list as possible judges. She was first asked to consider the show in April of 2010.

3. Steven and Jennifer were hired without ever putting them into the same room together to judge their chemistry. Randy, Ryan, Jennifer and Steven had a big dinner the day before the official announcement was made, and, as Jackson recalls, “Some of the execs dropped by later, and they were like, ‘Wow, it’s like old pals week.’”

4. Producer Nigel Lythgoe was initially against the Judges’ Save, but admits, “Thank God we saved Casey [Abrams]. From a practical point of view, I loved it because here was a guy who really deserved to be saved. But I would prefer to go to my way, which is the judges make the decision out of the bottom two or three that America votes. Then you don’t need a save.”

5. Steven Tyler is a big fan of J-Lo’s romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. Jury’s still out on what he thought of Gigli, though.

Chris Brown gets his feet wet in the viral video for “Should’ve Kissed You,” a cut off his chart-topping album F.A.M.E. A blond Breezy bares his tatted chest while singing on the sandy shores of Miami Beach, later meeting up to party with his friends. If this is not enough to satisfy the ladies, he is already shooting his next video for “Next 2 You” with fellow heartthrob Justin Bieber.

It’s all about B. Beyoncé unveils the sexy artwork for her fourth solo album 4, arriving June 28. In the striking image, she gazes out into the distance with arms raised over her head, covering her body with only a fur vest and gold accessories.

The title has significant meaning to the singer. “We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me,” she told Billboard. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date.”

The project, described as a “mixed musical gumbo,” was recorded in the span of a year starting in spring 2009. It is preceded by the Major Lazer-sampled single “Run the World (Girls).”

Keenan CahillKeenan Cahill is taking over the Internet one poorly lip synced song at a time. In his latest upload, the YouTube sensation takes on Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends" at the Bahamas' Atlantis Resort.

The video is his most elaborate production to date, thanks to some slick editing and a futuristic-looking background. Britney makes a brief cameo in the video, although it's obvious that she filmed her spot from a separate location (50 Cent once joined Keenan in his bedroom). Yet the video seems to have generated a mostly negative response, with many fans complaining the essence of Keenan's vids is getting lost in the hoopla. One commenter noted, "You've gone downhill now because you think you're famous...get back to your bedroom and actually lip sync please."

But Cahill has reason to be proud of himself: He's delighted Britney, who tweeted Tuesday, "So adorable! Thanks @KeenanCahill. I love it..."

Lady Gaga (Bauer Griffin)Lady Gaga has dethroned Oprah Winfrey as the world's most popular celebrity—according to Forbes magazine, that is.

The pop superstar replaced the former daytime television queen on the magazine's annual Celebrity 100 power list, thanks to her 32 million Facebook fans, 10 million Twitter followers and $90 million in earnings. So the video for "Judas" landed her some flack—who cares, when she basically controls the entertainment world?

There was some fresh meat in the #3 slot, as Justin Bieber made his debut ahead of fellow newcomers Katy Perry (#12) and Natalie Portman (#75), presumably because he could signal his troops of preteens to destroy all competitors at a moment's notice.

Wango Tango performers Ke$ha and T-Pain have appointed themselves as the new celebrity power couple: K-Pain. The two were engaged in a Twitter back-and-forth, culminating in the above photo taken of a the rapper nursing a bottle of Hennessey and K-Dolla hugging a massive amount of one dollar bills as they give one another an Eskimo kiss. Ah, true love. Check out one more photo of pop’s newest pair below.

Mildred Patricia Baena (From MySpace.com)It's only been a couple of days since Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to fathering a child with another woman while married to Maria Shriver. Now it appears the identity of that other woman has been revealed.

Mildred Patricia Baena worked as a housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger family for 20 years before receiving a severance package and retiring in January. Both RadarOnline.com and TMZ.com broke news on Wednesday morning that evidence pointed to her being the unidentified other woman Schwarzenegger was talking about in his public statement and apology.

Not only does Baena fit the time frame, but photos of her son bear a striking resemblance to the former governor, and unnamed sources close to her have told news outlets that he has provided for the child since he was born. While the boy's birth certificate includes Baena's then-husband as his father, TMZ.com has uncovered her 2008 divorce papers, which indicate that the couple has "no minor children" despite the boy being 10 at the time.

Evidence is still coming in that points to Baena being the mother of Schwarzenegger's love child, while an earlier rumor (that the other woman was a private stewardess) has lost steam. Reporters set up shop outside Baena's home on Wednesday, but the retired housekeeper has stayed out of sight.

Obviously Schwarzenegger has yet to comment on the identity of the child or the child's mother, but earlier this week he apologized for disappointing so many people.

"I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family," he said in a written statement. "There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

Lil' Kim (Getty)It was only a few weeks ago that rapper Lil' Kim spat profanity-laced venom in Nicki Minaj's digital direction on Twitter, calling the Pink Friday rapper a "coward lame ass b***h." Now the '90s hip-hop staple has taken umbrage with R&B singer Keyshia Cole—although she may have more reason this time around.

The latest Twitter war kicked off when Keyshia tweeted, "N while we're addressing everything, Lil Kim and I a r not "friends" I take that term very seriously. We made wonderful music. That is it."

Cole had apparently become frustrated by Lil' Kim fans who had accused her of being disloyal to the pint-sized rapper. The two had worked together on the 2007 Missy Elliot-produced track "Let It Go," but Cole's ties to Kim didn't keep her from collaborating with Kim's known nemesis Nicki Minaj on the song "I Ain't Thru" last year.

Lil' Kim responded to Keyshia's tweet with lightning speed, firing off these tweets in quick succession:

  • "U got that right. We are not friends. The same way U take friendship seriously i take loyalty serious."
  • "The whole world has seen me extend my hand to u over and over again."
  • Only someone who's trying to build a sincere relationship does shows 4 free & supports. u did not pay me a dime for none of that."
  • "That warrants some type of loyalty and respect."
  • "Friend or no friend i would have never let anybody disrespect u on my record but i can't expect everyone to be as real as i am."
  • "At the end of the day karma is as real as i am and it's coming to get u. oh wait...if it hasnt got u already..."
  • "My love $ loyalty to u got u a hit, ur friendship with ur friend got u a flop."

It went on, but it wasn't nearly as interesting as that time Lil' Kim got all hot and bothered over a fake tweet, especially since Ms. Cole didn't seem particularly interested in fanning the flames. She wrote, "all I'm saying is don't have everyone thinking I was disloyal as a "friends" cause we were never that and u know it. No disrespect," and, "I don't have beef with anyone. I'm done. I feel the way I feel about friendship and loyalty. I ain't never been fake. All I'm saying."
