Mo'Nique walked away with a Best Supporting Actress Oscar last night for her role in Precious, and she was clearly pretty stoked. "I am a stand up comedian who won an Oscar!" she said backstage after her big win (via Us magazine). "Ha, baby, I tickle me!"

Mo'Nique at the Oscars (Getty)Although it's a huge thing to receive such an honor as an actress, she said the award isn't just about her career. "You know, this role was so not about my acting career," she said. "This role has shaped my life and allowed me not to judge and to love unconditionally. If that goes into my career, great, but if it doesn't and I'm just the dynamic person that I strive to be every day, then I've won, baby!"

The 42-year-old earned a standing ovation when her name was read from the envelope last night, and her acceptance speech was very moving. She thanked her peers and actresses who paved the way for her, like Hattie McDaniel, the first African American actor to win an Academy Award, in 1939. She even wore a royal blue Tadashi gown because that was the same color Hattie won when she got her prize. She also wore a flower in her hair for the same reason. She said: "This is the flower Hattie McDaniel wore when she accepted her Oscars. So for you, Miss Hattie McDaniel, it's about time the world feels you all over them."

Though Mo'Nique has said in the past that she and her husband Sidney Hicks are in an open relationship, she wants to set the record straight. The Oscar nominee told Barbara Walters during her annual Oscar special: "Let me say this. I have not had sex outside my marriage with Sidney."

Mo'Nique doesn't want to jinx herself for the Oscars this weekend (Getty)But according to PopEater, it sounds like the same isn't true for Hicks. She added, "Could Sid have sex outside of his marriage with me? Yes. That's not a deal-breaker. That's not something that would make us say, 'Pack your things and let's end the marriage.'"

Still, Mo'Nique insists that whatever happens physically, she and her husband are devoted to each other completely. She said, "I'm very comfortable and secure with my husband."

He doesn't even mind when she doesn't shave her legs! "He loves the hairy legs, and if Sid likes the hairy legs, there you go. I tried shaving one time, and it was so uncomfortable and painful. I said never again would I do that to myself. I'm 42, and I'm very hairy."

Mo'Nique is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her turn as an abusive mother in 2009's Precious, but she remained mum on how she feels about her odds. The actress said, "I don't like thinking about that, because I'm big on the universe. I don't want to start making this speech or [think about what] I'm going to say because I don't want the universe to say, 'Really? You so sure about that?' Let's not jinx it."

Toni Braxton has enlisted some of entertainment’s biggest stars for her new album including Trey Songz, Robin Thicke, and Usher, and now she’s rounding out the prestigious list with an Oscar nominee.

Comedian-turned-actress Mo’Nique, who is up for an Academy Award for her role in Precious, makes a cameo on Braxton’s sixth studio album. “She does a monologue on one of my songs,” the R&B diva exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. The track was inspired by Oran “Juice” Jones’ 1986 hit “The Rain.”

“It’s about this relationship where this guy finds out his girl is cheating on him. We do a song, it doesn’t sound anything like that, but it’s the reverse of a guy who gets busted cheating. [Mo'Nique] does this whole monologue and it’s really funny and comedic.”

The Grammy winner reached out to the Golden Globe winner, who happily obliged. “She said, ‘Oh my God, I’d love to do it.’ I’ve always been a fan of hers and we’re both from Maryland. I love her.”

The winning combination can be heard on Pulse, due May 4. Until then, the “Un-Break My Heart” singer is rooting for her friend at next month’s Oscar ceremony. “We’re great friends, she’s really cool. I’m really excited for her about her Oscar.”
