Following the surprise success of LeToya’s most recent single ‘Regret’, which I said should have been the 1st single, she has confirmed that "Good To Me" will be the next.

Finally Capital Records gets it right!!!!!!! The sexy LeToya Luckett is poppin’ bottles at the Blue Velvet lounge in Los Angeles when her ex-boyfriend comes back around. But it’s too late because she has moved on to a new man, played by Ludacris. “Regret” is the third single, clearly shoulda been the 1st, off LeToya’s sophomore album Lady Love. The video was directed by Parris.

LeToya Luckett is stepping up to the plate in the video for her new single.

The R&B songstress will take a swing in the clip for “She Ain’t Got…” on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The video finds her reteaming with Bryan Barber, who directed the Motown-inspired “Not Anymore.”

The video will guest star Major League Baseball players Orlando Hudson and Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Baseball Hall of Famer Dave Winfield.

The Cory Bold production is the second single off LeToya’s sophomore album Lady Love, due August 25.

LeToya Luckett is not quite ready to share her Lady Love. The H-Town singer’s album has been delayed again.

LeToya will now release her sophomore LP on August 25, Rap-Up.com can confirm. The album has seen a few delays since its original April 7 date. Prior to the latest pushback, it was scheduled for June 23.

But with the bad comes the good. Toya is moving from the heartbreak of “Not Anymore” to the dance floor with her uptempo second single, “She Ain’t Got…”

More details on LeToya Luckett’s sophomore album are emerging as her release date approaches.

In addition to Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, the original Destiny’s Child member has completed songs with Ludacris, Missy Elliott, Tank, and Floetry’s Marsha Ambrosius. But LeToya is remaining mum on details until they’re finalized.

“Ludacris, Tank did three songs, Marsha from Floetry,” she tells Rap-Up.com, without disclosing further information. “You don’t want to talk about it until it’s certain. I know a lot of people don’t understand the behind-the-scenes of it. A lot of times, we do the song, then sit back and say, ‘Who can we put on this record?’”

Chris Brown contributed two tracks, but at press time, she hadn’t decided which would make the album. “We’re in the process of figuring all of that out right now.”

While she did say Missy raps on one of the songs, LeToya can’t reveal the other special guest just yet. “Once everything is done, I’ll talk about it.”

Find out who made the cut when Lady Love arrives on June 23. In the meantime, listen to her official second single, the Cory Bold-produced “She Ain’t Got Sh!t On Me.”

LeToya Luckett may not be able to escape the Destiny’s Child tag attached to her name, but she can kick the pestering rumors to the curb.

In the video for her current single, “Not Anymore,” the Houston native stars as a ’60s Motown singer who leaves her no-good man behind. Back in March when the video premiered, many blogs compared her high-fashion gear to threads worn by Beyoncé’s baby sis, Solange.

“I heard [those comparisons] before, but for one, my video was directed by Bryan Barber,” LeToya tells Rap-Up.com. “It was his concept. I can’t do anything but give that credit to him when it comes to the direction of the video.”

As far as the similarities go, LeToya doesn’t fall victim to the hype. “I feel like the media and everyone else are always going to make comparisons, especially when it comes to a sensitive subject like anything that has to do with me and Destiny’s Child or a family member of Destiny’s Child,” the songstress states. “It’s really not that serious. First of all, I’ve got nothing but love for Solange. Every time we see each other we’re cool. I think she is an amazing artist and creative in everything she does. It’s just talk.”

LeToya also revealed that she will be calling on a yet-to-be-named Houston rapper to spit a verse on the “Not Anymore” remix.

After being serially delayed due to internal label re-structuring, LeToya Luckett's sophomore LP 'Lady Love' had been finally set for a May 19th release date. However, it has been confirmed that the album has been pushed back once again and will now arrive in stores on June 16th, avoiding a chart battle with Eminem (who is releasing 'Relapse' on May 19th) and giving way for the release of another single.

Luckett, 28, has gone on record to confirm that the Tank produced 'Regret' will be the follow-up to 'Not Anymore' (which isn't exactly setting the charts alight). Word has it the song is the business. I guess we'll know in time...

Solange has responded to criticism that LeToya Luckett is jacking her style.

LeToya’s video for “Not Anymore” is set during the 1960s Motown era, which has drawn comparisons to the image portrayed by Solange with her SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams project. After photos from the Bryan Barber-directed video debuted on Rap-Up.com, blogs started saying LeToya was biting Beyoncé’s sister’s style.

“I think LeToya looks GREAT in her new video… You people are REACHING!” Solange wrote on her Twitter page. “I see LeToya every once in a while, around and about, and it’s nothing but LOVE.”

She went on to dispute the similarities. “I recorded the influence of the ’60s sound 4 YEARS AGO and that now it’s very common in R&B music and visuals. That ain’t MY sound.”

The “I Decided” singer is working on her next album, which will be similar to the downbeat sounds found on SoL-AngeL’s “Cosmic Journey,” “Slow This Bird,” and “God Given Name.”

Check out some exclusive pics from our friends over @ Rap-Up.com from the set of LeToya Luckett’s video for “Not Anymore,” shot last month in Los Angeles. A high-fashion LeToya stars as a Motown singer during the ’60s in the Bryan Barber-directed clip, which is set on an “American Bandstand”-like stage and an old revival tour bus.
“Not Anymore” is the first single off the R&B songstress’ sophomore album Lady Love, available May 19.

R&B stars Ciara and LeToya will see their much delayed new albums, 'Fantasy Ride' and 'Lady Love' respectively, finally released on May 19th.

The news comes after CiCi's 'Fantasy Ride' was bumped from its April 7th retail date, following the release of yet another single - 'Love, Sex, Magic (ft. Justin Timberlake)' this past week. Speaking in an interview with Ed Lover on Power 101.5 last night, the singer explained the reason for the latest date being that the label wants to launch the record at the same time 'globally' - which I, guess, is a viable reason (this time).

LeToya Luckett will shoot a video for “Not Anymore” on Friday in Los Angeles. The mini-movie will be directed by Bryan Barber (OutKast, The Game) and is the first single off the 27-year-old’s sophomore album Lady Love.

The treatment calls for nothing you’ve seen from the R&B songstress before, conceptually and visually. The video will be set in the early 1960s, but will have a modern feel similar to Barber’s video for Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man.”

Taking place on an old revival tour bus and “American Bandstand”-like stage, LeToya is the newest addition to a Motown record label and is burning up the charts, eventually moving on from the man who broke her heart and reveling in the ultimate revenge—success.
