Britney Spears's father has obtained new restraining orders against her former manager, her ex-boyfriend and a lawyer, according to court documents filed Friday.

Jamie Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who oversee the singer's affairs as co-conservators, allege the three men "are now working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship with utter disregard for Ms. Spears's health and well being," the papers say.

Text Messaging
Spears's father says her cell phone records show "numerous telephone conversations" and text messages with her ex-manager Sam Lutfi and former boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.

"[Britney] innocently informs [Ghalib] of her destinations and that he then arranges for paparazzi to meet and film her to his financial benefit," Jamie Spears says. "[He] is harmful to Ms. Spears and to her recovery."

Her father also alleges that on Dec. 27 and 28, 2008, Lutfi tried to contact Britney through her hairdresser with the message that Lutfi was not responsible for creating the conservatorship.

He allegedly sent a text message to the hairdresser saying, "I've done everything I can to free her from this. Very close to getting her free now."

The restraining orders forbid Lutfi, 34, and Ghalib, 36, from contacting Spears or coming within 250 yards of her, her property or family members, according to the L.A. Superior Court papers.

Jamie Spears also got a restraining order against lawyer Jon Eardley, who was involved in challenging the conservatorship proceedings.

Previous Restraining Orders
A hearing on the matter is set for Feb. 23.

Lutfi was slapped with restraining orders by Jamie Spears's lawyers before. But in July, a lawyer for the singer said they were no longer necessary to renew because enough legal protection was in place.

Last October, Britney's father and Wallet were named permanent conservators by the court, granting them indefinite control over her life following her two forced hospitalizations in early 2008.

Aaliyah's Biopic News

The director of the upcoming Aaliyah movie Bill Condon has given some info on the movie, including Canadian R&B/pop singer Keshia Chante. According to the NY Post:

“We are going to great extremities to make this movie perfect. We have [Keisha] Chante in extensive training studying, speaking with family members, watching personal footage and in choreography training with Aaliyah’s choreographer and dear friend Fatima Robinson,” he told the New York Post. “This movie will be seamless the same way it was for Selena fans who enjoyed Jennifer Lopez.”

Kim Kardashian is coming to Jessica Simpson's defense – one curvy girl to another – following a slew of reports ridiculing Simpson's fuller figure.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE Wednesday, Kardashian, 28, said, "Call me crazy, but when I saw the picture [of Simpson performing Jan. 25 in Pembroke Pines, Fla.], I was like, 'Oh my God, Jessica looks hot!' "

Kardashian, whose E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns in March, says she has no issues whatsoever with Simpson's outfit, which many critics slammed. "I actually love the outfit. I think she looks amazing. I love high-waisted jeans, I loved that belt, and her hair looked fabulous."

Adds Kardashian, who's attending the Super Bowl this weekend with football player beau Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints, "I get that she does look curvier, but to me, there's nothing wrong it."

No stranger herself to barbs about her own curvy physique, Kardashian says, "It doesn't really bother me anymore. I love curves. Being super skinny just isn't attractive to me. When I saw that picture, I knew everyone was going to say something. And I thought, 'You know what? Leave Jessica alone!' She's fabulous, she's a really sweet girl, and I admire her for putting up with it."

That sentiment is echoed by Simpson's sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who posted comments on her blog saying she is "completely disgusted" by headlines about her sister's weight.

"The 15th Annual Essence Music Festival" may very well turn into an old episode of 'Soul Train' come this Fourth of July weekend.

In addition to the aforementioned Beyonce, the much anticipated "Party With A Purpose" has also added Maxwell, Anita Baker, Al Green, John Legend, Teena Marie, En Vogue, Jazmine Sullivan, Janelle Monae, Raphael Saadiq, Robin Thicke, and Salt-N-Pepa to their star studded line-up.

As if that wasn't enough, ladies and gentleman who are donning their finest threads can also attend various seminars which will take place at New Orleans' Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Keynote speakers include activist Bill Cosby, Juanita Bynum, Tom Joyner, Hill Harper, Roland Martin and Sheryl Lee Ralph among others.

With such a diverse line-up of activities and performances, Essence Communications president, Michelle Ebanks wanted to make sure their 15th anniversary is represented in the proper perspective.

"To mark the Essence Music Festival 15-year anniversary, we wanted to really celebrate all the forms of music that have been central to the event's history," she said. "Our audience is truly loyal, and we made every effort to come up with a special line-up that's multi-generational and spans diverse genres; it brings together heritage artists, new chart-topping acts and local favorites in New Orleans."

Other performers include Solange, Lalah Hathaway, Ledisi, Brand New Heavies, and Keri Hilson. "The 2009 Essence Music Festival" takes place July 3, 4 and 5 in New Orleans.

With all the films Samuel L. Jackson had in theaters last year where he was the lead, 'Lakeview' was the one that topped the box office during its opening weekend.

A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor Abel Turner, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern single father, Turner (Jackson) just happens to be a tightly wound LA cop who has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols bring comfort to some, but the newlyweds feel harassed by his overly watchful eyes. The persistent intrusion into their lives ultimately turns tragic when the couple decides to fight back.

Directed by Neil LaBute and produced by Will Smith. The movie grossed $39.2 million in total.

With the story of Biggie Smalls in theaters now, the rap world is gaining some momentum in Tinseltown. The Hollywood Reporter states that 'Notorious' screenwriter Cheo Hodari Coker is attached to adapt Bill Adler's "Tougher Than Leather: The Rise of Run-DMC -- The Authorized Biography" for DJ Classicz, the urban arm of Davis Entertainment. DJ Classicz President Dallas Jackson optioned the book recently and will produce it with production partner John Davis.

'Tougher' will explore the history of hip-hop's first superstars: Joseph "Run" Simmons, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels and Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell, who was shot to death in his Queens studio in 2002.

With hits such as "It's Like That," "It's Tricky," "My Adidas" and "Walk This Way," Run-DMC exploded from the Queens neighborhood of Hollis onto the international stage, thanks to the help of future mogul Russell Simmons. An early MTV staple and platinum-selling act, the group influenced much of rap's future royalty. Retired since Mizell's death, Run-DMC will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 4.

Coker this week signed on to pen the Imagine/Universal car-culture project 'Lowriders.'

I Can't.... Now this is going a little too far..... Mother Wisdom speaking and singing to the Single Ladies at the church She also gives acknowledgement to the late Lillian Johns. Mother Wisdom is Rhonda White. Really?

The lips don’t lie and my friends over @ YBF.com caught Raven Symone and her new man, cutie Jussie Smollett, on full on make-out mode at some parties during Inauguration weekend. Jussie, as if you couldn’t tell, is actress Jurnee Smollett’s big brother. The two made their rounds to clubs like Fur and LUX while here in D.C. And it looks like these two have been a secret couple for a little while now.

Both of them have been posting lovey dovey pics of each other on their Facebook/Myspace pages (and we all know that’s the kids’ version of claiming your significant other). And they’re keeping it “private” by calling each other BFFs. Hmmm….sounds familiar. I do hear they looked quite cute together. If your not familiar with the Smollett's here's a pic of the family when they had a show back in the day on ABC called "On Our Own"

Here's the new video to ciara's "Never Ever" from the upcomig album Fantasy Ride. I see Monica made a cameo. What you think of the video?

My favorite Actress Taraji P. Henson got together with some friends at Mastro’s Steakhouse recently to celebrate her Oscar nomination. I'm absolutely routing for her to win this nod. It is well deserved and a good look!!

The Dream is silencing “rumors” that he and Christina Milian are a couple now. After these pics hit the net yesterday of the two partying it up together, certain people jumped to conclusions just like we knew they would:

Rihanna has today been announced as one of the performers at this year's Grammy Awards:

Rihanna and U2 have been added to the list of performers at this year's Grammy Awards.

Kid Rock, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have also joined the lineup. Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, the Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney have already been confirmed.

The 51st annual Grammy Awards takes place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on February 8.

's no secret that filmmaker Spike Lee has been looking to get several projects off the ground, including a biopic on legendary soul singer James Brown. At the Sundance Film Festival last week, Lee told MTV that he wants Wesley Snipes to play Brown.

Unlike other movies based on the lives of music greats, Snipes will not be honing his singing skills for the film if green-lighted. "He's my man," Lee said, but when it comes to the vocals on classic tracks such as 'I Got You (I Feel Good)' and 'Get Up Offa That Thing,' "I want to hear James Brown's voice," the director said. "That's just my personal taste."

Shortly after Brown died of congestive heart failure in 2006, Lee and Paramount Pictures tapped Snipes to play the "Godfather of Soul." But with Snipes facing tax-evasion charges and a lack of funding for the film, the project simply faded away. Now that Snipes is making a comeback to the big screen with his role in 'Brooklyn's Finest,' which was picked up for distribution at Sundance, there may be hope yet for the Brown film.

If anyone is counting, we have yet to see biopics on Jackie Robinson, boxer Joe Louis, and Marvin Gaye.

Jennifer Hudson on the set of the video for her brand new single 'If This Isn't Love', which was shot this week. She looks stunning.

The filming of the clip, which premieres February 9th, marks the beginning of a busy stretch for Hudson, whose mother, brother and nephew were tragically murdered last fall. She's singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday and is performing at the Grammy Awards the following weekend.

Jazmine Sullivan scores another great single with her third single off "Fearless," "Lions, Tigers and Bears." I think Jazmine looks beautiful in this video and the song has definitely moved up a lot of notches on my list of favorite joints. Congrats to Jazmine on grabbing five grammy nominations, huge accomplishment! Enjoy the vid and "Fearless" is in stores now.

This new viral video shows some young ladies getting their groove on during half-time at a high school game. Seems pretty typical to me, but this little dance led to the disbandment of the group, national news attention and the branding of these perhaps unthinking (yet not unusual) women as "The Sluts of Jonesboro" -- in honor of the high school where they used to be on the now-defunct dance team. I am more upset that innocent if misinformed young women have been labeled sluts for doing a dance, than at the dance itself. But I turn it over to the community:

What do you think of these young women and their dancing? Are they to blame for their actions, are their parents, or is the school administration? Is it really that big of a deal at all? I say no. What say you?

Coming out Feb. 3rd is this hilarious comedy starring Jessica Simpson.

Megan Valentine is America's sweetheart, but her latest movie is a bomb and a crooked accountant has left her broke. So, she's doing what anyone else would do -- joining the Army. Now, there's no star treatment, no stunt doubles and no second takes. But with the help of the other recruits, she'll find the motivation she needs to be all she can be and make it through basic training with style.

Also featured in the film are Vivica A. Fox, Jill Marie Jones, Steve Guttenberg, Olesya Rulin and Cheri Oteri.

What role do you play in the film?

Vivica A. Fox: I play 1st Sgt Morley. I play the head chick in charge who is a former B-movie star now in the Marines. She has her own problems with Jessica, who shows up as a very spoiled movie starlet, and I just give her a hard time. I tortured Jessica and Jill for about a month, and it was great.

Jill Marie Jones: I play Connie Johnson, and she is one of Jessica's best friends. We are in basic training together and in the same barracks. There are five of us that connect, and we become best friends, and we go through the gamut together. She's there because she was laid off from her job. She's there for the job opportunities, and she comes in with a no-nonsense type of feel. She then finds something so much more in terms of friendship and love and everything.

Did you go through boot camp?

Vivica A. Fox: I didn't have to do as much boot camp as they did, and I'm glad. I only had to do two days as opposed to what they had to do. They had to get in the dirt and in swamp water, and I commend Jessica, because she did 95 percent of all her stunts. She was black and blue and was working hard on the weekends and shooting commercials and doing tons of magazines, and she never showed up with a bad attitude. She was like, "Let's do this, and it was blazing hot."

Jill Marie Jones: What is so funny is that before I got there, I box here in LA, and I would go in every day, and I wanted my endurance to be up, because I didn't want to be that one girl that is at the end of the line tired and all. I wanted to represent. I thought, "Oh my God. Maybe they will put us through it." The first two days of shooting, I was like, "This is nothing." But on the first day of boot camp, I think I had a mini heart attack. We went through it though.

After spending numerous hours meditating in yoga class and being separated for three years, Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons' divorce is now finalized due to "dissolution."

The 51-year-old hip hop impresario and 33-year-old Baby Phat fashion designer, who exchanged vows in 1998, first announced plans to call it quits in 2006. "We have been together for 14 years. Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other," the Def Jam Records founder said in a statement on March 31, 2006.

At the time Lee Simmons managed to keep the couple's impending breakup private despite revealing that her marriage was anything less than "convenient."

"One thing my marriage is not, is convenient. I am inconvenienced," she vented to 'Vibe Vixen' magazine. "Russell and I have been together 14 years. That's a long time - almost half my life. The things that we go through are very regular things that regular people in Middle America go through. But because of my lifestyle or the logistics of it all, it's probably magnified those things. But they are the same problems and the same situations."

Apparently the two didn't waste anytime letting their hair down following the announcement.

In March 2007, Lee Simmons began dating two-time Academy Award-nominated actor and Calvin Klein model Djimon Honsou, 44, who are currently expecting their first child together. Meanwhile, Simmons has been spotted spreading his "love" across various international beaches with young model types.

Although hip hop's former number one power couple are now living two different lives, they are actively involved in numerous philanthropic initiatives. "We will also continue to work side by side on a daily basis as partners in all of our businesses," Simmons said.

Last June, Lee gained sole custody of their two daughters, 8-year-old Ming Lee and 6-year-old Aoki Lee, while Simmons was granted visitation rights -- one week every two months, and for extended periods over the holidays and summer.

Financial details of the divorce were not made public.

Stacey Dash will join the CW comedy, 'The Game' as a recurring cast member.

I spoke to the 'Clueless' star recently who filled me in on her character.
"She's a sportscaster. She's hanging around with all the athletes and talking to them like she's one of the guys, except that she's a woman. She has this huge attraction to Jason and I guess they both have an attraction and chemistry," she explained.
Could this mean that the character Jason and his wife Kelly are really headed to divorce court?
"Yes," answered Dash. "Things will get intense and the divorce will probably be eminent now."
Dash's character makes her debut sometime in March and as of right now, it's uncertain as to whether she'll return if 'The Game' is optioned for another season.

"Maybe, we don't know. It's like a soap opera," she laughed.
The married mother of two confessed that though 'The Game' centers around life in the NFL, she's not one of those women who really follows sports.

"Its pretty foreign to me," she disclosed, before adding: "Though I'm pretty athletic."
The actress was able to display her athleticism when she appeared on the NBC reality series 'Celebrity Circus,' where she came in second place despite breaking a rib early in the process.

Dash, who is now 43 years old, makes no bones about discussing her age in a business that celebrates youth.
"It's something I chose to do. I think it's just ridiculous to lie about my age. The last thing I want to do is to be pretending that I'm 35 and 25 when I'm almost 45. You know what I mean? Then you start to look old. I'll just say my age and play younger as long as I can. I've been blessed with something from my genes, from my parents and from God and I'm proud of my age," she declared.

Dash's good genes were seen in the Aug 2006 issue of 'Playboy' and the actress said she's certainly up for posing nude again.
"Sure! Yeah I would. I'd like to do a cover next time," she offered.
In addition to her work as an actress, the former child star, who has appeared in music videos for the likes of Kanye West ('All Falls Down'), Carl Thomas ('Emotional') and Marques Houston ('Favorite Girl'), has launched a lingerie line called Letters of Marque.

Kanye West is following in Diddy’s footsteps and imposing upon himself a new name: Martin Louis The King, Jr. And yes, that is Martin Luther King Jr. and Louis Vuitton in a mash up. I highly doubt this absurdly inappropriate name will stick but for the heck of it here’s Kanye’s explanation to the name change after his Paris runway debut;

"I know I've been called the Louis Vuitton Don... I've been called a lot of names... Due to what happened, when the red shoes hit the runway, I was forced to change my name to Martin Louis The King, Jr. Address me as such.

Jamal “Gravy” Woolard, the dude who played BIG, must have been stuck in character as he has been charged with assaulting his wife Trina Younger. ( Ya'll all know good and well BIG kicked Faith's tail a couple times.)

"Gravy, 33, allegedly admitted to the assault. “She wouldn’t stop pushing me, so I snuffed her,” he allegedly told cops."

I certainly don't condone spousal abuse, but I am LMAO at "snuffing her". Jiggas and flies, always in some ish! I Can't!!!!!!!

AWWW snap! 2009 is bringing out the dirt! Aaliyah's biopic is supposed to be shedding some serious light on the rumored beef between Dame and Hov, one source revealed,

"Both Jay and Dame was involved with a certain R&B singer, who I'm not gonna say her name out of respect 'cause she ain't around to defend herself, but I believe that was a part of the initial friction. I was seeing Jay with her back around 2000, then Dame was with her after. All you have to do is look at the movie they did, Death of a Dynasty. In the movie they were fighting over a model. In real life she was a model, but singing is what she was known for first."

Can't wait to see what jumps off. Stay Tuned..............

Could this really be Kelly's Janet/Control moment? I really do believe that in order for Kelly to gain the sucsess here in the states that she wants, she needs to break away unless she gonna continue to play backseat to Bee. It's no shade, but we all know the truth. It wouldn't be any love lost, it's just she needs her own!!!!

Former DESTINY'S CHILD star KELLY ROWLAND has reportedly dumped the man who took her in as a teenager and managed her to pop stardom - former bandmate BEYONCE's dad. The singer has parted company with Mathew Knowles following a heated row, according to website Bossip.com.

A highly-placed source in Rowland’s camp tells the website the split has been on the cards for months - because the Dilemma singer is unhappy she's not a bigger star in America.

A spokeswoman for Bossip.com says, "We were told Kelly was really upset that she's not better represented in the United States. She's a big hit in Europe, but not in America."

Publicists for Knowles and his MusicWorld organisation were unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.
