Ciara has had enough of all the chitter-chatter. The media darling swings back at the rumors and gossipmongers on the Soundz-produced joint “Shut ’Em Up,” a busy club banger where she sassily commands the naysayers to button their lips. “They say I’m Hollywood/ They think that I’m too good/ Just handling my business/ Where I live don’t make a difference,” sings CiCi, fending off the haters. Basic Instinct is shaping up to have a whole lot of attitude.

Margaret Matthews, the 68-year-old Chicago woman who shot a 12-year-old she says bullied her, has no regrets about her actions.

"I was terrified," the South Shore resident tells the Chicago Tribune. "The young man hit me in the chest with a brick. After a year of harassment, that was the straw that broke the camel's back."

Authorities say Matthews, a retired cafeteria worker, returned home Tuesday to find some windows in her house broken. After seeing the boy and his 13-year-old friend running away, she called the police.

When the boys returned, stood atop a shed in the front yard and began swearing and throwing bricks at her, Matthews grabbed a gun and fired a shot, hitting the 12-year-old in the shoulder.

The boy's grandmother, Donna Virges, disputes the version of events, saying the two adolescents were simply "walking down the street, and they saw a window broken at a woman's house and as they passed by, they said she came out shooting."

The boy was released from the hospital Wednesday and now faces one count of misdemeanor aggravated assault to a senior citizen. Miss Margaret, as she is affectionately known on her block, has not been charged with a crime.

Matthews's stepson defended her decision to take matters into her own hands. "She's just afraid," Major Matthews told the Tribune. "She doesn't wish ill toward that child. And the thing she told me is she's thankful that young man didn't lose his life."

Neighbors have hailed the elderly woman a hero for standing up against the boys they say targeted her for more than a year.

Matthews, however, says she was simply fed up.

"It's not heroic at all. I'm just human and I'm a senior," she says, "and I don't like being abused."

Kanye West is not a happy camper. After a couple unfinished tracks from his upcoming album hit the net, Yeezy has responded by calling off this week’s G.O.O.D. Friday.

Following the unauthorized leaks of “Lost in the World” and “All of the Lights,” ‘Ye took to Twitter to vent his frustrations. “Due to blogs leaking unfinished songs from my album I’ve decided to pass [on] Good Fridays this week,” wrote the disappointed rapper. “It’s messed up that one hacker can mess everything up for everyone… I love to take a year to finish my songs and deliver them to you guys in [their] most completed form.”

Yeezy, who has released a free track each week over the past month as part of his G.O.O.D. Friday campaign, also lashed out at those responsible for the leaks. “It would have seemed like since I give free music every week even the lowest form of human being would respect that enough not to leak unifinished songs from my real album,” he tweeted.

West, who was in the studio with Soulja Boy and Kid Cudi last night, is preparing for his performance on this weekend’s “SNL” and wrapping his fifth album, due November 22. “We’ve got 4 engineers mixing the album to finish it as soon as possible,” he stated.

For American Idol newcomer Jennifer Lopez, the perfect pick-me-up during her first full day of judging was a fresh batch of eager contestants.

"It was a long day, but it wasn't tiring," Lopez, 41, said of her first day on the job in Jersey City, N.J. "I was energized by all of [the contestants'] spirits when they came in here – so hopeful about what could happen and how it could be. And it's exciting."

As the first round of auditions kicked off on Tuesday, the singer-dancer-actress is embracing her new role, describing her style as a mix between "tough, easy and fair."

And she's not letting anyone off the hook.

"I really want to put them through the wringer in the sense that I don't want to let anybody who's really great go ... because they're nervous or whatever and not get to see what they could've been," she said. "We worked with them a little more than maybe you’ve seen in the past. We give them more of a chance.”

Steven Tyler, the other panel newcomer, had advice for future Idol hopefuls: "Don't get mad at what we say – get better."

Veteran judge Randy Jackson also had some words of wisdom about rocking an interesting look: "Whatever you do, make it hot."

And with the show returning to Fox in January, host Ryan Seacrest was psyched about the three different styles the judges bring to the table.

"The chemistry is fantastic between these three," he said. "You know, they're having a good time."

One of the many accusers of Bishop Eddie Long broke his silence earlier this week. 23 year-old Jamal Parris, SPOKE EXCLUSIVELY TO FOX 5’S DALE RUSSELL IN COLORADO and described how the bishop allegedly lavished him and other young men with gifts, cash, trips and cars in return for sex. Check out some of his comments below:

“I cannot get the sound of his voice out of my head. I cannot forget the smell of his cologne. And I cannot forget the way that he made me cry many nights when I drove in his car on the way home, not able to take enough showers to wipe the smell of him off of my body.”

Jamal Parris, near the end of our interview, said he wanted to speak directly to Bishop Eddie Long, and he turned to our camera to do so.

“But that man can not look me in my eye and tell me we did not live this pain,” Parris said. “Why you can sit in front of the church and tell them that you categorically deny it. You can’t say that to our face. And you know this. You are not a man, you are a monster.” [ READ MORE ]

After making noise with the red-hot cover artwork for Loud yesterday, Rihanna is revealing some of the tracks on her new album.

Just Jared was invited to preview RiRi’s fifth effort at L.A. Reid’s office at Island Def Jam and wrote up a glowing review, calling it the “biggest album for the Bajan beauty yet.”

The sexy siren teams up with her could-have-been tourmate Nicki Minaj for “Raining Men,” described as an uptempo record. “There isn’t much of a chorus, but the song features a variation of the popular children’s phrase ‘eenie meenie miney mo,’” writes Jared.

Other highlights include the catchy “Cheers,” which samples Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You,” a naughty club banger called “S&M,” the second single “What’s My Name,” and the ballad “Fading Away,” which likely references her relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Below is a list of nine tracks that were played, but does not necessarily represent the final tracklisting. Drake recently spoke about working with Rihanna on the album, but that song was not previewed during the listening.

“S&M”
“Only Girl (In the World)”
“What’s My Name”
“Cheers”
“California King (Bed)”
“Raining Men” featuring Nicki Minaj
“Who’s That Chick”
“Fading Away”
“Man Down”

Lindsay Lohan (Getty Images)Lindsay Lohan voluntarily began a second stint at a rehab facility in Southern California Monday night, and she reportedly plans to stay there until her next court hearing on October 22.

After failing two drugs tests last week, the actress returned to prison on Friday but ended up spending just a matter of hours behind bars after posting $300,000 bail.

However, the 24-year-old star could be faced with prison after her next court appearance for violating the terms of her probation for a 2007 DUI conviction.

According to gossip website RadarOnline.com, Lindsay spent her final few hours of freedom before returning to rehab reading self-help book The Power of Rest by Dr. Matthew Edlund.

An insider revealed: “Lindsay hopes to use this book to help restructure her sleeping patterns so she can function better. She has been shooting films into the wee hours of the morning since she was 11 or 12 years old and then sleeping in trailers while on the set. She never established a normal sleeping pattern.

“She was recommended the book by both a doctor and a friend and hopes it will guide her in the right direction.”

In the first season of Glee, we saw Heather Morris' Brittany evolve from a bit player with a few crazy lines to a genuine cast member with a real audience following.

Heather Morris (left) and Britney Spears recreate Britney and Madonna's moment in "Me Against the Music." (from Twitter.com/britneyspears)Still at the start of the second season, Heather is getting her break-out moment in tonight's episode, appropriately titled "Britney/Brittany." The show's newest star told New Yorkmagazine's Vulture blog that she knew she'd be getting a big role after producer and creator Ryan Murphy pulled her aside while she and the other cast members were on tour this summer.

"Ryan pulled me aside and told me they were doing this episode and that the title would be 'Britney/Brittany,' but he said, 'No one knows about this, so shhh — we’re gonna keep it a secret till you guys get the script.'"

Heather says Ryan asked her to take some vocal lessons, but really the long-time Britney fan has been ready for this since she was 11.

"I was like, 'Done. I already know it all!' It’s really not very hard, the stuff I got to do, but I was of course super-nervous. (...) It’s sort of weird to say Britney was my idol growing up — I was 11 or 12 when 'Baby … One More Time' came out."

Heather also confirms that in one scene, she and Britney will copy her video with Madonna for "Me Against the Music." Fans already saw this one coming after Britney herself posted a picture to Twitter showing her and Heather in the familiar costumes. In anticipation of Tuesday night's episode, Britney took to Twitter once again to post a picture of Heather wearing her "Toxic" costume (pictured inset above).

For Glee fans out there, Heather says writers will continue to develop her character this season and pretty soon her friendship with Santana (Naya Rivera) will start to change, she said.

"We’ve been so connected and in love, per se, like best friends, and not that there’s gonna be twists and turns, but you’ll see it start to change a little bit in the fourth or fifth episodes."

After catching his show at Radio City Music Hall, Rihanna joined her collaborator Drake at his after-party at Greenhouse in New York City on Tuesday (Sept. 28). RiRi, in a red blazer, and Drake, in a denim jacket, partied with their peers including J. Cole, Trey Songz, and former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, who celebrated her 26th birthday. Jay-Z and Young Jeezy also stopped by for the star-studded celebration.

Margaret Matthews, a 68-year-old woman living in Chicago's Southeast Side, picked up a gun Tuesday night and shot a 12-year-old boy in the arm.

The upshot? The boy was cited for a misdemeanor crime – while she wasn't charged with any wrongdoing.

Matthews, neighbors say, was the target of constant harassment from the 12-year-old – a ringleader of a group of kids who allegedly vandalized Matthews's home, broke items in her shed and even set her garbage on fire.

"I would say [the kids] were bulling her," neighbor Frenchie Johnson told local TV station CBS2. "She stayed there by herself. They know that. And she's one of the ladies that, she stands up for herself."

Throwing bricks through her window, however, was the final straw for Matthews, who also called police; they reported to the scene, but the 12-year-old boy returned to her house after they left, according to reports.

That's when the shooting occurred.

"I think she gave them as much warning as I think she could," said neighbor, Rafael Ramirez.

Acting in Self Defense

Matthews was released from police custody without being charged on the grounds that she acted in self-defense, CBS2 reports. But the boy and his 13-year-old friend have been cited with one count each of misdemeanor aggravated assault to a senior citizen, according to police.

The 12-year-old was released from the hospital on Wednesday.

But the boy's grandmother, Donna Virges, disputes the version of events, saying the two adolescents were simply "walking down the street, and they saw a window broken at a woman's house and as they passed by, they said she came out shooting."

Other neighbors are also skeptical about accusations the boy was a bully.

"He wasn't the type of little boy to do that, to throw a brick in an old lady's window like that," one said.

If convicted on the charges, the 12-year-old could be placed in juvenile detention for up to a year.
