I Can't take it!!!!! Rihanna is The Universe Next Top Model!!!! She looks epic in her Italian Vogue shoot. No other artist thats out today, (Yes I said It) can compete with her Fashion/Image/Looks wise. Yes Lady Gaga is in a league of her own eclectic space. Rihanna is a star/trendsetter and now a FASHION ICON!!!

On shedding the drama:

"I shed a lot of stuff, a lot of unnecessary weight in the last three or four years. I left a lot of old luggage behind, and when I did, the blessings just started pouring on me, and the light in my spirit started to lift again," she tells the magazine. "I'm really humbled, and I thank God that people love me, but I [really] thank God that God loves me. I thank Him for chastening my heart, for never letting go. What I did sometimes ... I went off and did my thing, but Henever let me go."

On her time out of the limelight:

"I was just ready to lay back and raise my daughter and just watch her grow and nurture her. And my mother's getting older. I wanted to spend more time with my mom [because during] most of my 20s and 30s, [I] was dealing with making records and traveling the world and being this thing -- icon, you know -- whatever this has turned into."

On her relationship with Bobbi Kristina:

"She and I are not only mother and daughter, but we're good friends. I want her to trust me, to be able to trust in me, to know that I'm not going nowhere. If she knows that I'm there for her, she can depend on me. I'm the dependable one; she can depend on her mommy."

Check out a new video interview with the 46 year old superstar, in which she discusses the process of creating the album, as well as specific tracks. (Note this was shot about 2 months ago):

Just when you thought she was already on Young Money, the official announcement comes today that Nicki Minaj has indeed signed to Lil Wayne’s label after an intense bidding war.

The femcee, who has been making noise on the underground circuit with her mixtapes Playtime Is Over, Sucka Free, and Beam Me Up Scotty, has joined the Young Money roster, also home to Drake.

“I am honored to have Nicki Minaj as Young Money’s First Lady. She is a star,” Lil Wayne said in a statement.

The battle among labels to sign Minaj heightened this summer and finalized with Minaj signing an exceptional and very unique deal with Young Money/Universal, where she retains and owns all of her 360 rights, including merchandising, sponsorships, endorsements, touring, and publishing.

“To say I’m excited would be an understatement. It’s validation. It’s proof. It’s empowerment. I represent every little girl in a ’hood near you,” stated Minaj. “To everyone that supported me two years ago when I was on underground mixtapes and DVDs and to the people that only caught on two weeks ago, I say thank you. Be proud of yourself. You’ve given girls all around the world the permission to change the face of female rap.”

Minaj’s debut album is scheduled for an early 2010 release and will be distributed through Universal Motown.

In one of her first interviews since announcing her departure from American Idol, Paula Abdul reveals why she left her post on the judges’ panel — and wasn’t just about money.

“I had to stand on my principle,” Abdul, 47, tells TV Guide. “I’m going to miss the experience of watching young talent evolve into a place where they get to take off and soar.”

The former Idol judge, who calls the show an “amazing experience,” says her decision wasn’t solely about a paycheck dispute. “I stand on principle where many people stand on money,” she says. “I’m a hard-working artist. I’ve lasted in this business for 23 years. And you can’t do that unless you are good at what you do.”
That success seems to have given Abdul a confidence that will last in her post-Idol career. “I believe in myself and you have to have your own self respect,” Abdul says. “And sometimes decisions are very difficult to make, but I’ve always believed that at the core I’m a survivor. There’s not one thing I’ve done that I’ve really set my mind to that I’ve failed at.”

So what’s next? “I definitely want to do a talk show because it would be different,” she says. “It would be a lot of fun variety with a ton of unexpected stuff and tributes to everyday people getting their big chance.”

Abdul, who’s been busy shooting a guest role on Lifetime’s comedy Drop Dead Diva, says just because she’s no longer sitting beside Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson doesn’t mean she will not tune in to TV’s top talent search. “I had some really unforgettable moments that hit plateaus for me and I’m very blessed to have been a part of what made television history,” she says.

And finally, Abdul expressed gratitude to her fans. “The fans all should know I adore, love, appreciate and respect how much they’ve expressed their outpouring of love and support for me,” Abdul says. “That’s what keeps me going in lots of ways.

"A green Ford Explorer made an illegal U-turn in front of her silver Mercedes," Lieut. Tony Lee tells PEOPLE. "Ms. Zellweger was not injured, the damage to her car was very minor. She was very polite and sincere."

"Ms. Zellweger requested her car be towed from the scene, and also requested that officers call her a cab," Lee added.

The actress's rep had no comment.

After struggling through a weekend show, Travis Barker's band Blink 182 pulled out of a Saratoga, N.Y., concert Monday, citing the "circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein."

Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French were set to continue as planned along with "some special surprises," Blink 182 said in a statement. "We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time."

Barker, who had been a fellow survivor with Goldstein of a plane crash last year, made it through a difficult performance on Saturday in Hartford, Conn., with a moment of silence dedicated to the celebrity DJ.

Over the weekend, Barker posted a message on Twitter about the passing of his pal. "I'll never forget everything we've been thru and every time i play the drums i'll think of you," he wrote. "My brother is gone. i love u and miss u, i'll never forget all the good times we had."

Chris Brown sits down with Larry King in his first TV interview since his February arrest for assaulting Rihanna. The full interview airs Wednesday, September 2, at 9 p.m. EST on CNN’s “Larry King Live.” Brown’s mother Joyce Hawkins and his attorney Mark Geragos also speak.

He's ashamed and sorry and wished it never happened. But there's one thing Chris Brown says he most certainly is not: forgetful.

In a detailed statement to PEOPLE, the singer clarifies what he calls incorrect reports – based on a clip of an interview with Larry King airing Wednesday night – about the events with Rihanna that led to his arrest:

"There have been reports on the Internet that I didn't remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.

"That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times – and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

"The first four times – or however many times it was – I gave the same answer – which was that I didn't think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn't fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, 'Do you remember doing it?' and I said, 'No.'

"Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can't believe it happened because it is not me or who I am, nor is what happened like anything I have ever done before.

"As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can't. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am, and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future."

This past Saturday True Jackson, VP’s Keke Palmer invited us to her very special and very sweet 16 birthday bash in downtown Los Angeles! The theme was prom so all of her 200 guests — including Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, Jennette McCurdy, Josh Hutcherson, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Victoria Justice and her True Jackson, VP costars Ashley Argota and Matt Shively — dressed up and wore corsages for the big event. Guests got to walk down a blue carpet and take prom pictures in the T-Mobile Sidekick LX photo booth. Keke was introduced by her dad and she came down the stairs in a beautiful gold dress before changing into something more comfortable to dance the night away in. After she danced with her dad, all the guests were asked to go up to the roof where Keke got a special dance performance surprise from Strikers Alll Stars — who were on America’s Best Dance crew. Then Keke’s BFF Lil Momma did a special performance for her followed by a hot performance from Day 26! Then it was time to crown the prom queen (Keke!) and cut the cake (it was red velvet and in the shape of a tiara!) Everyone had a blast and Keke said she couldn’t have asked for a more special night!

Prepare to be scared.

In New Moon, the second installment in Stephenie Meyer's wildly popular Twilight saga, readers are first introduced to the ancient ruling class of vampires known as the Volturi. Determined to capture their creepy menace for his screen version opening Nov. 20, New Moon director Chris Weitz has given them custom-crafted blood-red eyes.

"They're all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts," Weitz tells PEOPLE. "They're opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can't really see into them. There's something terribly off-putting about it."

British actor Michael Sheen (The Queen) plays Aro, leader of the Italian blood-sucking clan. Although Aro and his brothers Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower) have been "alive" for thousands of years, Weitz says he "deliberately" gave them a younger look in the film – for which he credits author Meyer.

"Stephenie was very keen to steer away from a kind of wizard-y look for the vampires," says Weitz. "They do look quite young, but they convey a formality and self-possession, which comes from age."

Perhaps most lethal of all the Volturi is Jane (Dakota Fanning), an angelic-looking vampire who inflicts torture on her victims. "She is very strange and very spooky in this movie," says Weitz. "I think [Dakota] wanted to play an evil character for once."

Whitney Houston better clear out more space on her mantle for some Grammys. If initial reviews are any indication, the pop diva is back on the path to Grammy gold.

Houston’s seventh studio album I Look to You, due Monday, is receiving high marks from critics including the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and Chicago Sun-Times.

“The best giant ballad is the Warren-penned, David Foster-produced ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,’ an exhibition of battle scars that’s richer for the weary, injury-protecting quality of Houston’s vocal,” wrote L.A. Times music critic Ann Powers. “If she does earn the Grammy she’s virtually been promised for a song from this set, it should be for this one.”

USA Today’s Steve Jones rated it 3.5 stars out of 4, saying, “It’s loaded with tunes that are perfect for recapturing the magic that once made her a transcendent star.”

The Chicago Sun-Times’ Jim DeRogatis offered more praise. “The sound throughout is clean, modern, unfettered, and consistently designed to keep the focus on Houston’s singing, whether it’s on the moderately bouncing club tracks or the requisite ballads.”

The August 31 cutoff for the 2010 Grammy Awards nominations prompted Clive Davis to release the album a day ahead of its original September 1 date. I Look to You will now be eligible for next year’s ceremony.

Davis hosted a series of high-profile listening events for the album in July, which drew the likes of Halle Berry, Stevie Wonder, and Alicia Keys. The first singles, “I Look to You” and “Million Dollar Bill,” have achieved most-added status at radio, while the album is already No. 2 in music on Amazon.com’s Bestsellers list.

Houston has won six Grammys over her illustrious career, her most recent one in 1999. It looks as though the decade-long dry spell is about to end.

Kim Kardashian may be the ultimate chameleon. From trying out a short cut for “O” to experimenting with a Twilight inspired look with her makeup artist, the reality star is always game for trying something outrageous. Now, she crosses over to the dark side for a spread in the September issue of YRB. “My YRB magazine shoot just came out and I am loving the results!” Kim writes on her website. “I really love the transformation and the clothes were amazing!!! This has got to be one of the most unique shoots I’ve ever done! Not sure I’ll ever go for a permanent short cut, but it definitely works for this shoot.” We’re just getting used to Kim’s blonde hair, but Kim does look fierce with the heavy dark makeup, pale white skin and raven bowl cut…. Tell us: What do you think of Kim’s goth-inspired shoot for YRB?

DJ AM has been found dead in his New York City apartment.

Det. Brian Sessa tells PEOPLE that at 5:20 p.m. on Friday New York Police Department officers entered an apartment on Lafayette Street in response to a 911 call about a man who hadn't been seen for two days. Inside, they found the body of a white male in his 30s. Another police source confirmed to PEOPLE that the dead man was DJ AM.

The cause of death has not been released by the medical examiner, although N.Y.P.D. Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne said there was no apparent evidence of foul play. A police source said prescription drugs where found in the apartment.

Goldstein's publicist released a statement Friday confirming the news of his death. "The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time," the statement says.

DJ AM (real name: Adam Michael Goldstein) was 36. He narrowly escaped death in a 2008 jet crash with Blink 182's Travis Barker.

The news of today's death was first reported by TMZ.

DJ AM's Last Days
On Thursday, Goldstein Tweeted, "New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york ain't always what it seems."

DJ AM was scheduled to work tonight at Rain nightclub at the Palms in Las Vegas, where he has a standing gig. He DJed at the club last weekend. "He never drinks alcohol – ever," says a source who has seen him there. "Every time he's there he drinks Fiji water and Red Bull – six Fijis and six Red Bulls every night."

Goldstein had just played Dusk in Atlantic City on Tuesday night. He was part owner of the club, which will be closed Friday night. In a statement, Dusk management said, "We are devastated by the loss of Adam Goldstein, our dear friend and valued member of the Dusk family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones. He was a true talent who will be greatly missed."

His Past Struggles
Goldstein, a popular DJ in the Hollywood, New York and Vegas club scene. He had struggled with weight, drugs, depression and abuse.

"Drugs became my identity," he said in 2005. "I would deejay until 2 a.m., go get drugs and stay up until 10 in the morning doing drugs alone in my apartment." During his early 20s, his weight escalated to 300 lbs.

A critical turning point in his life came in 1997 when Goldstein considered suicide. After a night of doing cocaine, Goldstein, 24 at the time, saw himself in the mirror and "could not move away from staring at myself," he says. He put a gun in his mouth but stopped, sobbing and asking "God, please help me."

After vowing to get off drugs and lose weight, Goldstein underwent gastric bypass surgery and dropped 115 lbs.

He dated Nicole Richie and got engaged to the reality TV star in 2005, though the two called off their engagement in December of that year. Goldstein most recently dated model Hayley Wood but according to reports called it quits in August 2009.

LeToya looks beautiful doesn't she? "Regret" is a favorite of mine off the album and she does a great job of performing here. Check it out. "Lady Love" in stores now.

You could feel the Love in the room at the release party for LeToya Luckett’s sophomore album Lady Love at Cain in New York City on Thursday (Aug. 27). The lovely LeToya shimmered in a designer show-stopper and partied with Tank, Olivia, Black Buddafly, and more.

He’s in the midst of the hectic Idols Live tour, dodging “provocative items” tossed on stage by hysterical fans, but Adam Lambert has been hard at work on his debut album, which he says is well underway.
“We did a lot of work on it right before the tour started. I wrote a lot with various producers and writers and recorded a handful of songs,” he told DIDNTINVITEME on a call during a stop in Columbus, Ohio. “We’ve been doing a lot of work on it during the tour as well … We’re still gathering material and we’re scheduling more recording sessions for when it’s over, so we’re about halfway done.”

Lambert, who’s already done a photo shoot for the album, promises it will be “quite eclectic.”
“There are songs on there that are anthems; there are song that make you want to dance; there are songs that make you feel sexy; there are songs that touch you, hopefully, with more emotional, insightful, deeper lyrics,” he says. “There are songs that are more in the line with a rock sound. There are some that are really pop-oriented.”
There’s something for everyone, according to Idol’s reigning runner-up, which “I’m really proud of,” he says. “I can’t wait to see people’s reaction. It’s just going to be fun.”

Something else to be proud of: His recent partnership with DonorsChoose.org, an online charity effort aimed at getting high-need public school classrooms the resources and supplies they need.
After the Idol finale, “I started getting gifts like crazy and people really starting to spend a lot of money on things for me,” Lambert says. “I don’t need them to spend money on me. I’d rather they spend money on people in need, so I thought I would redirect that energy.”

At DonorsChoose.org, teachers post exactly what students need for specific educational projects and donors can choose the projects they want to support.
“It seemed like such a convenient and really well thought-out way to help kids out in public schools, especially the kids in the arts programs, which is where I’m focusing my efforts,” says Lambert, whose fan groups are in competition with each other to raise the most money at DonorsChoose.org/adamlambert.

“They get really competitive with each other,” he says of the fans, who’ve raised more than $57,000 so far. “I’m glad that we gave them something to fight over.”
That way, maybe they’ll ease up on throwing those “provocative items.”
“I know that the people that are throwing it up on the stage are getting as much a kick out of it as I am,” he says. “It makes me laugh. When they actually throw it at me, though, that’s a little scary.”

Soulja Boy Tell’em is not about to start kissing (thru the phone) and telling when it comes to his relationship with Teyana Taylor.

“I plead the Fifth,” the 19-year-old rapper tells Rap-Up.com when questioned about rumors that he’s dating the “Google Me” singer. “Teyana is amazing. She cool as hell. I know her real well.”

Without disclosing too much, Soulja Boy did offer some insight into his friendship with Taylor, who bought him an iced-out G-Shock watch for his birthday. “We talk. You gotta have those type of people around you that you can cope with, vibe with, be cool with—somebody that can relate to you ’cause we in the same type of business.”

Aside from the “Super Sweet 16” star, he also admitted to taking a liking to Meagan Good and Keri Hilson. “Meagan Good, that’s my No. 1. She is so so fine, but she got a boyfriend though, so she kinda off limits,” he laughed. “And then you got Keri Hilson. She’s a dime. She’s beautiful. If given the opportunity, it would go down.”

There was no sign of back-to-school blues at Checotah High School Friday morning when Carrie Underwood surprised her Alma mater.

Underwood, 26, the Academy of Country Music's Entertainer of the Year, presented 31 instruments – ranging from an oboe to an electric guitar and worth nearly $120,000 – to fifth through twelfth grade music students in Checotah, Okla., schools.

"If everybody did stuff like this, not even on a grand scale, for whatever community they're a part of, the world would be awesome," "Especially if you give to schools, because funding is getting cut left and right, the music and art programs are the first to go. To me those are some of the most important [programs]."

More than 500 adoring students and faculty gathered at the morning assembly, where the 2005 American Idol winner was introduced by her elementary school music teacher, Kathy Cooper.

"You never know, we might have some more stars out here," Cooper said before Underwood came on stage to wild applause. "Maybe we'll have another American Idol from here. That was just too good to be true."

Then the star, accompanied by one of her band members on a newly donated keyboard, performed "So Small" for the crowd – with help from fifth grader Kenedee Rittenhouse, who sang the first verse and chorus.

Underwood told students this donation was "only the beginning" for her new foundation, Checotah Animal, Town and Schools (CATS) and she hoped future ACM entertainer of the year winners would follow in her footsteps. CATS's partnership with ACM Lifting Lives was behind the musical surprise.

"They've talked about entertainer of the year winners donating money to a cause of their choice," she said, "which I'm hoping continues to be hometown schools."

The-Dream is suiting up and heading into the boardroom. The singer-songwriter has landed a new day job as Executive Vice President of Island Records.

The R&B star, who is signed as an artist to Def Jam, will oversee talent on the pop label, home to Mariah Carey, Adrienne Bailon, and Kristinia DeBarge.

The-Dream, born Terius Nash, took to his Twitter page to thank his fiancée Christina Milian for her support, among others. “Thank you Christina for your wonderful belief in me. I love you!” he tweeted. “Also I want to thank the entire Nash family and Milian family for the super support you give! This doesn’t mean I have extra money, it means I have extra bills. LOL.”

The Radio Killa Records CEO will put his hitmaking skills to good use at Island Records and its parent label. “I look forward to the challenge of rebuilding music for not only Island Records, but for Universal Records as a whole,” he said. “Today I’m humbled and blessed.”

The-Dream’s first order of business will be finishing his own album, Love King, tentatively scheduled for release by the year’s end.

What look Lady Gaga will rock next is anyone’s guess. But if there’s one thing we can count on from the singer, it’s that whatever she wears — or does — it’ll be outrageous. In the Fall issue of V magazine, she lives up to her wild-child persona with stunning, super-bronzed images shot by Mario Testino — and we have the exclusive first look. In a frank interview, the unorthodox cover-girl dishes about her unique take on style, saying, “Us Weekly putting me on a worst-dresses list? I couldn’t care less. If Karl Lagerfeld called me an ugly hag, then I’d be upset. Because it’s Karl Lagerfeld.” As unique as her look is, however, she finds that she still sometimes gets pigeonholed. “When I was a brunette, they called me Amy Winehouse,” she says. “When I was a blonde, they called me Madonna. Then they called me Christina, then Gwen. I just don’t think most people’s reference points go back very far.” And although she’s achieved global fame, the singer can still get dazzled by celebrity. And who wouldn’t, after finding out that Madonna is in the audience of your N.Y.C. concert? “My sister texted me and she was like, ‘Madonna is 15 feet away from me.’ This is awesome! I just remember thinking, ‘wow, this is exactly what I wanted.’” Pick up V on newsstands September 1st.
