It's a bird, it's a plane – it's the new Superman!

Henry Cavill will be taking over the role the late Christopher Reeve made famous in the upcoming film Man of Steel, and with his dashing good looks and rock-hard body, The Tudors star looks the part in the iconic blue suit and red cape.

The comic book reboot, which is expected in theaters in 2013, also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, as well as Russell Crowe, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

While Superman's new look is more menacing, the costume still maintains its classic feel. But tell us:

Blake Lively for ChanelBeen wondering about all the hype over Blake Lively at Chanel? Well, after two dinners hosted by Karl Lagerfeld in her honor, Blake's first ad campaign for the brand has been revealed.

The ads, shot by Lagerfeld himself, feature Blake, a mirror and a red Chanel Mademoiselle bag. The photos are simple but elegant, and Blake looks stunning. The pictures have an added oomph that's hard to pinpoint but, if you look closely, you can see that reddish highlights were added to Blake's hair. Overall, it's a great first ad and we're intrigued to see the rest of the campaign.

What do you think of Blake's Chanel ads

Andrew Garfield checks out his Spider-Man costume. (Pacific Coast News)Andrew Garfield has been spotted for the first time in his full Spider-Man costume. The Oscar-nominated Social Networkstar filled out the familiar blue and red spandex while working on the upcoming comic book flick in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday.

Shooting in Los Angeles could mean a major continuity change for the new Spider-Man universe. Both the popular Sam Raimi franchise and the Marvel comic book prominently feature New York CIty -- a location that offers considerably more narrow alleyways and tightly-packed buildings for Spidey to swing, jump and web sling across. While it's unclear if L.A. will be part of the movie, at least we get a good look at what Garfield looks like in the Spidey suit.

We should note that while that's presumably him in the costume, the mask does make it impossible to distinguish him from, say, a stunt double. So hopefully we're getting the real thing, and not a doppelganger.

Make way for a new superhero – or at least a new version of an old superhero.

In the first photo released from the set of the fourth Spider-Man movie, a brooding and intense Andrew Garfield slips into the skin-tight, red and blue Spider-Man costume, officially taking the reins from Tobey Maguire in the popular franchise.

For those who have yet to get to know Garfield, the Los Angeles-born actor, 27, was raised in England and was seen on movie screens recently in The Social Network.

"He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker," Spidey 4 director Mark Webb said recently.

But could the shot — which also features Kristin Bauer as Pam, Nelsan Ellis as Lafayette (who’s getting a love interest this season), Ryan Kwanten as Jason and Deborah Ann Wall as new vamp Jessica — foretell romance between former flames Sam (Sam Trammell) and Tara (Rutina Wesley), huddled together in back?

Esmée Denters scored the ultimate costar for her new video "Love Dealer": Justin Timberlake.

Timberlake is featured on the uptempo R&B song, which he co-produced with Stargate and co-wrote with Denters, 21. The video, directed by The Malloys, was shot in March in downtown L.A. and shows "the process of recording her song," says a source. "Justin sends Esmée out into the world and watches her career take off as he looks down on her from a rooftop."

Dutch-born Denters – who was discovered after posting cover versions of popular songs on YouTube in 2006 – was the first artist signed to Timberlake's label, Tennman Records. "Love Dealer" hits radio in May and will appear on her album Outta Here, which debuts in August.

Recently at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, producer/ writer Robert Rodriguez showed a peek to his latest film, 'Predators.'

Directed by Nimrod Antal, the film stars Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Danny Trejo, Walton Goggins, Oleg Taktarov, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, and Louiz Ozawa.
A bold new chapter in the Predator universe, 'Predators' was shot on location under Rodriguez's creative auspices at the filmmaker's Austin-based Troublemaker Studios.

Adrien Brody stars as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they've been brought together on an alien planet... as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human "predators" that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.

20th Century Fox will release the film on July 7.

Ke$ha's first hit single "TiK ToK" soared up the charts to become the No. 1 pop song – and now People.com has a first look a the singer's new video for "Blah Blah Blah."

The video, shot last week in Los Angeles, tells the story of the singer going on dates with guys who keep talking and talking – "blah blah blahing" – so she finds ways to shut them up.

The song and the video both feature an appearance by the members of 3OH!3, but they don't play Ke$ha's love interests. "The guys in the band 3OH!3, [are] like legitimate friends, and they're really, really nice guys," says Ke$ha.

As for her real love life, the singer is single and looking. "It really takes a strong guy to have a successful girlfriend who's as mouthy as I am, she told PEOPLE last month. "I've yet to find someone who can handle the sass. I just want somebody who's really cool – a really cool musician with a big beard."

Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa's wedding earlier this month was like a fairy tale – complete with a castle, an enchanted forest and glass slippers in the bride's shoe size, a gift from the groom.

"I knew that my princess needed her glass slippers and her castle," Jonas told our friends over at PEOPLE of the nuptials.

"I always wanted my wedding to have that princess feel," adds the new Mrs. Jonas. "I couldn't have imagined this," she says of her lavish wedding Dec. 19 at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York.

Despite a blizzard blanketing the roads around the castle, the wedding went forward without a hitch, and the bride, escorted by her father Thomas "Bucky" Deleasa, walked down the aisle to "Bella Notte," from Lady and the Tramp, played on the guitar by a friend of the Jonas family. "I'm an Italian girl. It just fit me and my dad," said Danielle of the song choice.

The groom's father Kevin Jonas Sr., an ordained minister, officiated along with Danielle's childhood pastor, Rev. Ron DePasquale Jr. After reciting traditional vows, the couple exchanged Jacob & Co. wedding bands that they designed for one another.

"I've never seen a more beautiful bride," said Kevin of Danielle, who he calls his "Jersey Girl" and who wore a strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown at the ceremony.

Look out Peyton Manning – you’ve got some competition in the marketing department from your old pal Justin Timberlake.

The duo famously joined forces earlier this year for a Sony spot that featured them facing off in a game of ping-pong. Now, Timberlake is stepping into the promotional spotlight solo.

On Tuesday, the pop star was captured by photographers filming an ad for the Audi A1 in downtown Los Angeles. Fans will have to content themselves with still photographs, though: the commercial will air in Europe, not the United States.

Fans of Fantasia will remember the animated version of The Sorcerer's Apprentice, but next July Nicolas Cage is bringing it to the screen in live action.

The actor plays a wizard who empowers his apprentice (played by Jake Cherry) as a boy and, later, Jay Baruchel as a young adult.

"He's more like a rock star," producer Jerry Bruckheimer tells PEOPLE about the film, due in theaters July 10. Like the animated version, this Sorcerer's Apprentice will also feature those dancing brooms. "We did it in a realistic way," Bruckheimer says. "The [brooms] are really dancing and doing their thing."

The boy's got chops!

Learning the moves of a true martial arts fighter, Will Smith's youngest son Jaden Smith is proving he has what it takes when he stars opposite Jackie Chan in a remake of the 1984 classic, The Karate Kid, due in theaters June 11.

"I trained every day for four months with Master Wu [the film's fight coordinator]," Jaden, 11, tells PEOPLE as he takes on his first leading role as an American boy named Dre Parker who moves to China. "We did a lot of stretching."

Jaden mastered front kicks and upper blocks through his hard work ethic and dedication, says Chan, 55, who plays maintenance man Mr. Han – an unlikely friend to Jaden's character. "He took the training very seriously. I was very impressed with him," he adds.

While filming in Beijing, including atop the Great Wall of China, Chan was more than a martial arts mentor to his young costar. "Jackie taught me to ask, 'My left or camera left?'" says Jaden on learning the important directions of acting in front of the movie camera. "That helped."

As the two stars built a dynamic relationship on screen, the teacher and student bond translated into real life. "Jaden had a lot of respect for me as his teacher, even off the set," says Chan. "He is professional as many adult actors who have been in the business for years."

And, as Jaden became a true karate kid, he realized that there is more to martial arts than just the kicking and punching – there are lasting lessons of obedience to be instilled. In fact Jaden's parents appreciate the discipline he learned. "His dad told me that Jaden had changed," says Chan. "When he takes his shoes off, he doesn't throw them in the corner, but puts them away neatly!"

For her first U.S. tour, it looks like international superstar Kylie Minogue will be taking fashion cues from American music’s leading ladies. With couture costumes designed by Jean Paul Gaultier — the same designer responsible for Lady Gaga’s outrageous VMA looks — Kylie will hit the stage sporting glittering bodysuits and long, sequined trenches identical to these sketches by the designer. And considering the designs’ notable lack of pants and sparkle overload, we can’t help but think Lady Gaga and Beyonce!

Meet Katherine Heigl's new baby, Naleigh.

The Grey's Anatomy actress and husband Josh Kelley have released the first photos of their daughter, a special-needs child they adopted from South Korea, on Heigl's fundraising site.

"She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign," Heigl, 30, said when announcing the news of her adoption on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week.

In addition to four intimate photos of the family, the site explains that Naleigh is just a nickname for Nancy Leigh – named after Heigl's mother Nancy and Heigl's sister Margaret Leigh.

Prepare to be scared.

In New Moon, the second installment in Stephenie Meyer's wildly popular Twilight saga, readers are first introduced to the ancient ruling class of vampires known as the Volturi. Determined to capture their creepy menace for his screen version opening Nov. 20, New Moon director Chris Weitz has given them custom-crafted blood-red eyes.

"They're all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts," Weitz tells PEOPLE. "They're opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can't really see into them. There's something terribly off-putting about it."

British actor Michael Sheen (The Queen) plays Aro, leader of the Italian blood-sucking clan. Although Aro and his brothers Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower) have been "alive" for thousands of years, Weitz says he "deliberately" gave them a younger look in the film – for which he credits author Meyer.

"Stephenie was very keen to steer away from a kind of wizard-y look for the vampires," says Weitz. "They do look quite young, but they convey a formality and self-possession, which comes from age."

Perhaps most lethal of all the Volturi is Jane (Dakota Fanning), an angelic-looking vampire who inflicts torture on her victims. "She is very strange and very spooky in this movie," says Weitz. "I think [Dakota] wanted to play an evil character for once."
