Grammy gets its party on this week with at least two Jennifer Hudson performances, a rap Dream Team of T.I., Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z rockin' the mic, plus teen queens Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift on the same stage.
Throw in the bashes celebrating Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers, Akon and Rihanna, the celebration of pop, rock, hip-hop and country will spill far off the Staples Center stage, and PEOPLE has all the details:
Grammy Night
After Sunday's awards telecast on CBS, nominees the Jonas Brothers and Coldplay will stop by the showpiece party of the night – the Woodstock-themed Grammy Celebration at the L.A. Convention Center, where Wolfgang Puck serves Shanghai lobster and red velvet cupcakes while Robin Thicke, The Time, and DJ Mick Boogie perform. At the bar? Patron and Ultimate Vodka.
Across town at EMI Music and EMI Music Publishing's bash at the SLS Beverly Hills Hotel, nominees like Perry and country heavyweights Lady Antebellum will party for a good cause at their UV Vodka-sponsored bash benefiting Stand Up For a Cure. Proceeds from an artist-autographed guitar auction go to the charity, a nonprofit that produces benefit concerts for lung cancer research and patient care.
Meanwhile, Island Def Jam Chairman Antonio "L.A." Reid's fete will host artists including Rihanna, Kanye West, Ne-Yo and UK soul sensation Duffy.
Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Doug Morris is back again this year with his annual viewing party. But instead of their usual blowouts, both Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment are scaling back – WMG will host an intimate viewing party, while SME has invited nominees and presenters to a small post-show reception.
And to close out the night, Nelly will let loose at the Universal Motown fete at the W's Whiskey Blue. Elsewhere at the hotel, Akon will throw his own post-ceremony celebration.
Also happening Grammy Week:
Wednesday
Catch Sara Bareilles at the Grammy Foundation's 11th Annual Music Preservation Event: Music In Focus, which celebrates the intersection of music and photography. Need more art? Head to the Genius of Miles photo exhibition where nominee Leona Lewis is expected to honor the jazz great.
Thursday
Now in its fifth year, the Peapod Foundation benefit concert with the Entertainment Industry Foundation will see the Black Eyed Peas take the stage. The group will be joined by Kid Rock and Slash for a high-energy concert presented by Adobe Youth Voices at the Conga Room.
Friday
The big event of the night is the annual MusiCares Person of the Year soiree honoring Neil Diamond. More than 1,500 guests will be treated to a tribute performance of his classic tunes by artists including Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Coldplay, Tim McGraw and the Foo Fighters, following a reception and silent auction to benefit the MusiCares Foundation. The honoree himself will also grace the stage at the L.A. Convention Center.
At the annual Friends and Family party, DJ AM spins while industry VIPs power-mingle at Paramount Studios. Those lucky enough to catch Timbaland at the Verizon and Blackberry Storm blowout at BLVD3 will be greeted with champagne cocktails at the club's garden entrance. And in West Hollywood, artists like Will.i.am, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Ciara and Robin Thicke will support Def Jam artist The-Dream's Redzone/RadioKilla soiree at STK.
Saturday
The guest and performer list is top-secret for the Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute to Industry Icons event honoring Clive Davis. But expect the cream of the A-list crop among the 900 VIPs (last year's list included Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Pink and Carrie Underwood, who will pack the Beverly Hilton's lavender- and violet-accented International Ballroom for a three-course meal and surprise performances in honor of industry legend Davis, the chief creative officer of Sony Music Worldwide.
At the Montage Beverly Hills hotel, Cash Money Records fetes nominee Lil Wayne with a Mardi Gras-themed event that Paris Hilton and Maroon 5 are expected to attend. Meanwhile, Ne-Yo brings fast food to the glitterati with his annual McDonald's midnight brunch at Kress. And earlier in the day, celebs like Kim Kardashian will head to the House of Hype's brunch hosted by Pascal Mouawad.

ATLANTA, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The BET HIP HOP AWARDS '08 was full of non-stop, mind-blowing performances, talented lyricists and incomparable collaborations, but above all, the night was an empowering tribute to the upcoming presidential election, giving back to the community and the reigning ladies of hip hop. With the ever-present T-Pain serving as the
surprise ringleader (with scheduled host Katt Williams unable to attend), the hottest show in hip hop was taped at Atlanta's Civic Center on Saturday, October 18 and will air on BET Thursday, October 23 at 8:00 p.m.
The show's most unforgettable moment was the ladies of hip hop medley, featuring the reigning queens of the mic -- MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, The Lady of Rage, Salt-n-Pepa and Spinderella. From MC Lyte's "Cha Cha Cha" to Yo-Yo's "You Can't Play with My Yo-Yo," the performance was an inspiring reminder of how amazing female MCs are and can be. Salt-n-Pepa brought the house to its feet with a number of songs, including "My Mic Sounds Nice," "Shoop," "Big Girls," "Push It, and "Whatta Man" (which included a photo montage of a certain presidential candidate and his wife!).
