Jennifer Hudson performed a fitting tribute to Bob Marley with her cover of the late legend’s “No Woman, No Cry,” as part of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’s” Bob Marley tribute week. The iron-piped songstress breezed through the reggae tune with some help from The Roots, singing in a Jamaican accent at times. Marley’s daughter-in-law Lauryn Hill will perform on tonight’s episode.

Jennifer Hudson sat down with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday’s “Late Night.” The towering diva spoke about the Met Gala, her album cover, and getting her start singing at weddings and funerals, where she always performed the gospel hymn “His Eye Is on the Sparrow.” She then belted out “No One Gonna Love You” from her new album I Remember Me with some help from The Roots.

J-Hud will return to the show next week to perform a cover of Bob Marley & The Wailers’s “No Woman, No Cry.”

Last month Ellen DeGeneres plucked 12-year-old vocal powerhouse Savannah Robinson from Internet obscurity when she invited the tween onto her show after seeing a video of Robinson singing. And today Ellen had the soulful kid back on the program to perform Dreamgirls staple “I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” with I Remember Me diva Jennifer Hudson.

Young Savannah’s day got even better when, as Just Jared notes, Ellen announced that she was signing the 12-year-old to her eleveneleven label. Looks like Greyson Chance will finally have some company on the roster.

For now, though, we’re just blown away by how well Savannah held her own while belting this classic out with 29-year-old J-Hud.

Jennifer Hudson titled her sophomore album I Remember Me, and clearly would prefer that the rest of us not forget her, either, judging by the number of TV appearances she’s made lately (both with child and baby-free). Not that we’re complaining! J-Hud most recently popped up on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night to talk in further detail about her weight loss — equivalent to “more than a Justin Bieber,” she joked. “How much does he weigh, about 60 pounds?” The Good Morning America guest who did not smash any windows this week also flawlessly performed “Where You At.” Check it out below.

Jennifer Hudson showed off her baby boy during her visit to “The View.” The slim singer conducted her interview with her 19-month-old son David Daniel Otunga Jr. on her lap, beaming with pride and joy while fielding questions about her dramatic weight loss, the life lessons she’s learned, and her experience on “American Idol.” Baby David held a mic, adding his own soundtrack as his mother shared home footage of him dancing.

After chatting with the hosts, J-Hud celebrated today’s release of her sophomore album I Remember Me by gracing the stage to perform the lead single “Where You At.” Check out the songstress taking over “The View.”

During her sit-down with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts this morning, I Remember Me songstress Jennifer Hudson discussed her new slimmed-down figure, and how she dresses differently now because of it. “I’m still not used to my new self yet,” J-Hud confessed. “So I’m kind of figuring out who I am right now, today…like, how do I want to be perceived? Who am I? And [I'm] rediscovering my own style and everything all at the same time.” Watch the Oscar winner on GMA below!

Hudson touched on the ups and downs in her life, and how she arrived at the album title I Remember Me. “I feel like I’ve led four different lives in just 29 years—so much has happened in my life,” she told Roberts. “There is absolutely nothing the same today as it was 10 years ago.”

The singer/actress then discussed how she finds her mother to be an inspiration for how she wants to raise her “little munchkin” David.

With I Remember Me dropping this Tuesday and shaping up to be the “R&B album of the year,” it seems like a good time for the should-be Bodyguard star to reflect back on the bumpy road that got her here in the first place. Though J-Hud has seen her share of remarkable moments for a relatively new artist, it hasn’t been all Grammys and Oscars — during last night’s 20/20 interview, the “Angel” singer also opened up about how she coped with the tragic murder of her family members in 2008, amidst lighter fare like her first live performance and why she decided to slim down. Check it out below.

Jennifer Hudson touches the sky on “Angel,” a cut off her sophomore album I Remember Me, flying into stores March 22. Written by Alicia Keys and co-produced with her hubbie Swizz Beatz, the uplifting tune is charged by marching snares, bouncy piano chords, and squiggly synthesizers, with J-Hud singing about taking care of her man and being his guardian angel.

“There’s no way that I’m ever goin’ back again/ Heaven’s in your arms, got me until the end/ Let me be your angel,” she wails on the powerful chorus. Spread your wings and soar with the heavenly songbird.

Jennifer Hudson slows it down on the mid-tempo ballad “I Got This,” a cut off her sophomore album I Remember Me, available March 22. With an inspirational beat care of Stargate, the uplifting tune takes listeners on the “American Idol” alum’s rise as a hopeful singer from the South Side of Chicago to an international superstar.

“Every single breath another step on my road/ (I got this) I’m from the South Side trying to get to my goal/ Ain’t no stopping me, come on follow me if you feel the need/ (I got this) Better believe I got this,” she wails on the chorus. Get lifted with J-Hud.

Jennifer Hudson, the singer who brought Oprah to tears, is choking back her own in vid for her ballad, “Where You At”. Shot in the dead of winter in the Oscar winner’s hometown of Chicago, the I Remember Me singer somehow looks even more stunning in the video then she did on the song’s single sleeve. The only thing sadder than watching JHud walking along Lake Michigan alone, is the pitiful state of her home in the music vid. The walls are missing plaster, her antique couch is rotted through — can we get this girl a better man AND a home renovation team?

Jennifer Hudson (Getty Images)The Oscar-winning actress is a huge fan of the high school musical TV show and would love to follow in Gwyneth Paltrow’s footsteps and make a cameo appearance as a substitute teacher.

Discussing the possibility of appearing on the series, Jennifer Hudson said: "That would be so cool. It's such an amazing show, so hopefully. Maybe I’d play the substitute music teacher."

Glee creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed he was so impressed with Gwyneth’s performance -- when she appeared as substitute teacher Holly Holiday in a storyline which aired last year -- she has been asked to return.

He said: "Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes. She's coming back specifically to date Will [Schuester played by Matthew Morrison]. Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She's coming back as a sex education teacher."

“Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week, 'What are we gonna sing?' We're trying to do something fantastic."

He has also confirmed Anne Hathaway will make an appearance - after she approached him looking for a role, suggesting she could play the lesbian aunt of Chris Colfer's character Kurt.

Jennifer Hudson broke her silence on the 2008 Chicago murders of her mother, brother, and nephew in an emotional interview on today’s “Oprah Winfrey Show.” The slim singer, who has previously refused to comment on the slayings and still won’t directly address them, touched on how she got back on her feet in the wake of their untimely passing.

“I try to do everything to say, ‘OK, will my mother like this? Will she be pleased? Will she be proud of that? How do I know she’s happy and she’s smiling down at me from heaven?’” said the tearful songstress. “And that’s what I try to go by and walk by.”

The 29-year-old Grammy winner continued by explaining how she would hear the voices of her mother and brother telling her to “knock it off” and snap out of her funk. Though she seemed to be in good spirits, she’s not entirely healed. “It’s such a shocking thing,” she said. “It’s a lot to take in. It’s like, ‘OK, is this real? Did this really happen?’ It’s hard to put it in sync with reality.”

A glowing Jennifer Hudson took the stage as well on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” today for the live debut of her R. Kelly-penned single “Where You At.” The slim chanteuse, dressed in a white blazer, form-fitting black tights, and killer heels, let her vocals soar as she fronted a backing band consisting of two singers, a piano player, a drummer, and a keyboardist.

Check out J-Hud’s powerful performance, and look out for her sophomore release I Remember Me on March 22.
