T.I. is still serving his time behind bars, but he resurfaces to wish all the moms a Happy Mother’s Day. In a pre-recorded message taped before he started serving his sentence, the Atlanta rapper conveys his sentiments to his supporters.
“I want to say happy Mother’s Day. I want to send my love and support to you in return. Just be safe, hold it down, catch you in a minute,” said Tip, whose wife Tiny will celebrate this weekend with their children.
The “Whatever You Like” hitmaker, whose latest album No Mercy hit stores last year, returned to an Arkansas prison in November and is expected to be released later this fall.

HowUDoin T.I? Nooooooooo it's not what you think....... He engaged in sexual activity with his wife kidz, during a visitation. Sorry False alarm, although many of you were excited! Ha.
T.I.'s wife Tiny confirms ... the two were in a room together during regular visiting hours at Arkansas State Prison when Tiny made like Michael Jackson ... and beat it.
According to prison guidelines, inmates are allowed to kiss and embrace at the beginning and at the end of a visit as well as hold hands -- but "the inmate’s hands must remain in plain view of Visiting Room staff at all times."
Tiny tells us T.I. was immediately reprimanded and sent to a "Special Housing Unit" -- which consists of more security and less freedom.
Tiny says she hasn't spoken to T.I. since the incident -- but she's hopeful she'll be allowed to visit again soon ... as long as she keeps her hand to herself.

The King has finally come uncaged. T.I. is not holding back about his return to prison, firing off angry words about his current situation. In a letter posted on his website, Tip says he can’t take no more, even for someone who’s been through this before. He expresses his frustration with his 11-month sentence, calling the experience a “real ass whoopin’.” He attributes his poor decisions to not having a father figure in his life and vows to never let his kids see a jail cell. Feel his rath below.
This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that’s saying a lot for a nigga who’s been down locked up as many times as I have. I see this as a real ass whoopin’. The kind you don’t just go back outside to play afterwards. You take ya ass to bed and don’t come out of your room until it’s time to go to school. I don’ t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I’m certainly sick and mother f*cking tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it. I’d have been better off doing a 5-10 year bid one time than going in time and time again for days, weeks and months for the last 15 years of my life. Even though it’s been a long road, I’m still standing, barely but nevertheless still standing. At one time I thought my motivation for continuing was for my fans, my partna Philant, my pops, my grandmama, even for the haters or the people I let down. But nah… I got to do this shit for me!!! I’ll be God damned if I’ve come all this way and made it through so much hell to let it go down like this! F*ck that! If an hour in the dark is worth a second in the sun then pass me my mother f*ckin’ shades cause I’m ready to cash my darkest hours in…ASAP!!! A lot of folks had fathers or father figures in the house to raise them into manhood. I’m not trying to make any excuses for my situation but my father was a hustler that lived in New York. My uncle was a local big time dope boy turned 10 year federal inmate. My mother and grandparents did the best they could but I found my manhood in the trap and in prison systems. But I found it. And nan one of mine will ever have to feel the cold tight grip of a handcuff or grace the presence of a jail cell if I can help it. Over my dead body! So if you can’t respect that you ain’t rocking with my movement then Fuck you dog! I know a bunch of mother f*ckers who are…..

T.I. bid his friends and family adieu today, returning to prison to start serving his 11-month sentence. The King of the South checked into an Arkansas facility earlier this afternoon, turning himself in after getting arrested for violating his probation.
“Hey yall #teamTI will be holding me down on this front with updates until I return. Thx for your continued support. In a minute….#NoMercy,” tweeted the rapper before heading off to do his bid.
Tip will go through the regular process once arriving at his new home, meaning he will be processed, photographed, and given a bunk assignment, reports TMZ.
Less than a year ago, the Atlanta rapper found himself in a similar situation after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges. He served 10 months behind bars in Arkansas and was released in December.
Meanwhile, his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle was charged with drug possession following her September arrest in Los Angeles. If convicted, she could face a year-long sentence.

With a few days to go before he heads off for his 11-month prison sentence, T.I. gets his last licks in with the video for “Ya Hear Me” off his recently retitled album No Mercy. Framed in a blue hue, the King of the South fronts a live band, rocking shades and a flannel over a white tee. Get a good look because the clip, which features cameos from Young Jeezy and the OMG Girlz, may be the last we see of Tip for a while.

The King is being recaged. After his recent run-in with the law, T.I. has been sentenced to 11 more months behind bars.
The Atlanta rapper pleaded to a federal judge not to send him back to prison for violating his probation with a drug arrest, but to allow him to get help for his drug addiction.
“I screwed up big time and I am sorry,” T.I. said during his probation revocation hearing Friday afternoon. “I am sincerely sorry. I am scared that you will send me to prison.”
Tip, born Clifford Harris Jr., was in federal court Friday in Atlanta following his arrest last month in Los Angeles on suspicion of drug possession. He was on probation after serving 10 months behind bars on federal weapons charges.

T.I. Knew in His Heart He Needed to Save Suicidal Atlanta Man
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 1:50 PM
What started off as any other day for T.I. ended with an emotional rescue as the rapper helped coax a suicidal Atlanta man off a ledge Wednesday.
After hearing about the man, who was contemplating jumping off the V103 radio station building, the rapper decided he needed to stop listening and do something.
"People were trying to talk to him and tell him to get down," the rapper, 30, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., tells our friends over at PEOPLE in a phone interview from the set of his new music video. "Something in my heart just said, 'You need to help.' At that point, I started calling people at the radio station."
But the radio station said the man was unresponsive to their pleas not to jump – so T.I. drove himself to the scene.
"I went down there and talked to a police officer and he sent me to the negotiator," the rapper says. "They told him I was there and he started responding a little bit."
"I told him, 'It's not that bad' and [said] that I was there for him and [that] 'there is nothing that you can't get through as long as you are willing to put the time and energy into it,' " he says, adding, "'but first thing is first. You're going to have to come on down here and holler at me.' "
A Heart to Heart
Negotiators showed the man T.I.'s message, which he videotaped, and about 20 minutes later, he says, the man came down – while T.I. was waiting for him by the elevator for a "heart to heart."
Says the rapper: "The first thing I said to him was, 'Man, what's up? What's wrong?' "
"He just shook his head and took a deep breath and said, 'Everything.' He was kind of depressed and kind of just worn out by life," T.I. says. "His demeanor to me seemed like a guy who just can't catch a break."
Giving the man some advice, T.I. remembers telling him, "It's never as bad as it seems – and it could always be better."
The rapper also tried to temper his hopeful message with reality.
"'I'm gonna come check you out and see if there is anything else I can do to help,' " T.I. remembers telling him. "'But I'm not saying I'm going to snap my fingers and life is going to be perfect from here on out.' "
Hard Times
While T.I. says he's never contemplated suicide, he can relate to falling on hard times, noting that life was difficult after his wife Tameka Cottle and he were arrested for drug possession last month.
"These past six weeks . . . I've been feeling tired and weak," he says. "But I'm not ready to give up. I'm ready to defeat it and move on."
As for his rescue efforts, "It wasn't heroism," he says. "It was just me listening to my spirit. I have a very hard time taking any credit for it. It was God's work. I just showed up."

T.I has been a hot topic for the media lately but it’s good to see he is not letting that slow him down.

Rapper T.I. and new bride Tameka “Tiny” Cottle don’t look like happy newlyweds in their most recent photos.
The couple's mugshots were released Friday by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stemming from their Wednesday night arrest on drug possession charges in West Hollywood.
Released on $10,000 bail, the couple seem to be trying to remain positive. Cottle, 36, Tweeted on Thursday morning after leaving jail, "Jus wanted 2say thank u 2every1 dats been leaving encouraging msgs & prayers! We love u guys: ) going 2bed now! So glad 2b n a nice clean bed$."
For T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., the charges may carry extra weight: He is under probation and prohibited from committing any crimes and illegally possessing a controlled substance as part of his prison release for federal weapons charges.

Breaking news out of Los Angeles: T.I. has been arrested on drugs charges.
The "Number One" hitmaker and his singer wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle were taken into custody on Wednesday night after police smelled marijuana coming from their car during a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputy Mark Pope said: "Deputies smelled a strong odour of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A narcotics investigation ensued that resulted in the arrests.”
He added that the couple were "found to be in possession of a controlled substance."
Bail was set for the star - whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr - and his wife at $10,000 each. Both were released at 4 am this morning and are due in court to answer the charges tomorrow.

T.I. -- who married Tameka just five weeks ago -- remains on probation following a 2008 federal conviction on illegal weapons charges. He spent seven months in prison, followed by 90 days in a halfway house before being released in March this year.
Although the terms of his sentence state that any kind of violation would result in more time behind bars, Deputy Jeff Gordon said that since T.I. was allowed to post bail on the drug charge, it did not appear that his probation from the federal charge would be affected by Wednesday night's arrest.

star power of T.I., Chris Brown, Idris Elba, and more proved to be a powerful force at this weekend’s box office. While it barely missed the top spot, the action flick still managed to pull in strong figures.
Based on weekend estimates, the horror film The Last Exorcism grossed an estimated $21.3 million at 2,874 locations, enough to narrowly edge out Takers, which came in at No. 2 after earning $21 million at 2,206 theaters, according to studio estimates. At this rate, it should have no problem recouping its $32 million budget.
T.I., who stars in and produced the film, traveled across the country promoting his latest project, stopping in Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Las Vegas for premieres. A prequel was already being considered before the box office results.
Takers, which also stars Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez, and Zoe Saldana, focuses on a group of professional robbers who plan mind-blowing heists. When the recently-paroled member Ghost (played by Tip) rounds up the crew for one last sting, they have to dodge a pair of detectives (Dillon and Hernandez) intent on putting a stop to their theft.
“The storyline is a lot edgier. It has so many different dynamics. There are so many stories within the stories. With these characters, you get a little bit more back-story,” T.I. previously said of the comparisons between Takers and the similar flick Ocean’s Eleven. “And we’re younger and better looking.”
According to the latest box office receipts, Takers comes in at No. 1, besting The Last Exorcism. Final data released Monday shows Takers took in $20.5 million, compared with $20.4 million earned by Exorcism. “The real #’s are out and we did it!!! #TAKERS is #1!!!” tweeted a celebratory T.I.

T.I. received some morning flattery from Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on Monday’s “Today” show where he talked about the comparisons between Takers and Ocean’s Eleven (“We’re younger and better looking”), being a producer on the film, and becoming a rapper-turned-actor. Plus, he dropped a few hints about his first big show back since prison at tonight’s “AXE Music One Night Only” concert.
