Tyra Banks in a tiara! What better way for the model and mogul to appear on Gossip Girl in an episode airing Monday.
Her role is that of Ursula Nyquist, an award-winning actress looking to offset some negative personal press by playing a real-life heroine — American-born French stage star Josephine Baker — in an Oscar-worthy movie about the French Resistance during World War II.
“The people at Gossip Girl tell me I set a Gossip Girl hair change record. I had SEVEN hair changes, every single scene you see is some new hair on my head,” says Banks, who also plans to talk about her role on the episode during Monday’s Tyra Show.
According to press materials about Banks’s appearance, the fate of Ursula’s career ends up in the hands of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). You’re in good hands, Ursula.

Beyonce and Lady Gaga were honored today (Oct. 2) with the Woman of the Year and Rising Star awards, respectively, during Billboard's annual Women In Music luncheon held at New York's Pierre Hotel.

Lady Gaga, sporting a see-through dress decorated with feathers and human hair, arrived first. "Twelve months ago I never would have imagined being here and receiving this award," Gaga told Billboard.com.

Inside, Billboard's Publisher, Howard Appelbaum, gave the welcoming remarks before introducing Bill Werde, Billboard's Editorial Director. He introduced Billboard's Women In Music Power Player List, which includes Universal Motown Records President Sylvia Rhone, MTV Chairman/CEO Judy McGrath and William Morris' Cara Lewis, noting that the 2009 group "was the most diverse yet."

Werde then introduced Lady Gaga, noting that "She's procovative, fearless and most importantly, a prodigious songwriter." After a short speech highlighting all of her achievements in the past year, followed by a video reel, Gaga accepted the award herself. "I didn't expect to be accepted into pop community like I have," Gaga said, holding back tears. "With help from radio program directors, the gay community, fans and people like Billboard we had a remarkable year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Gaga was then interviewed by NBC's "Today" co-host Hoda Kotb, during which she addressed the cancellation of her upcoming "Fame Kills" tour with Kanye West. "Everyone makes mistakes," she said of West's now legendary MTV VMA's outburst. "It's unfortunate, but he's a good person. And I think its important to stand by friends."

Werde then introduced Billboard's 2009 Woman of the Year recipient. "It is theoretically possible someone on some other planet had a better year than Beyonce," he quipped. "But I'm not buying it."

"It's obvious how classy she is," Werde said as he introduced Beyonce, who was accompanied by her mother and father, Matthew and Tina Knoweles, and Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child. Beyonce accepted the award, remarking "I am the luckiest woman in the world."

Beyonce then took the hot seat alongside radio personality and Oprah's best friend, Gayle King, for a Q&A during which she was probed about her relationship with husband Jay-Z, her position as a role model for young women, and her goals for the future. "I really want to win an Oscar," she revealed.

The event closed with heart-rending renditions of Beyonce's hits "Halo" and "Single Ladies," performed by Staten Island grade schoolers, the P.S. 22 Chorus.

Usher is airing out his dirty laundry. The R&B superstar will address the end of his marriage on the first offering from his new album, set to debut Monday.

The title of the song, originally reported to be “Filing Papers,” has been confirmed as “Papers” by Jive Records. It was penned by Sean Garrett.

The new single was supposedly written before Usher announced his divorce from Tameka Foster. “Let’s say I wrote a record for Usher three or four months ago where I really didn’t have any idea of what he was going through personally,” Garrett told MTV News in June. “I felt that was the direction we needed to go. I felt that was the question everyone wanted to know: Was [his relationship] good or was it bad? Was it right? Are you happy or you’re not?”

“Papers” will premiere on Monday, October 5, at 2:02 p.m. EST, unless the Internet gets its hands on it earlier. Usher’s sixth studio album Monster is due in December.

Mariah On Today Show

Mariah Carey brought sunshine (and Nick Cannon) to an otherwise gloomy day in NYC on Friday (Oct. 2). She performed “Obsessed,” “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “H.A.T.E.U.,” and “Make It Happen” for fans who gathered in Rockefeller Plaza for the “Today” show concert series.

Timbaland is ready to shock the world once again with the sequel to his platinum-selling album Timbaland Presents Shock Value.

The follow-up to 2007’s star-studded project will be released on November 24, DIDNTINVITEME can confirm. Collaborators include Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Kings of Leon, Miley Cyrus, Daughtry, The Fray, and Paramore.

The first single, described as having a vampire theme reminiscent of Twilight, will feature the super-producer’s new French artist SoShy. It is expected to debut this month.

Timbaland’s original Shock Value spawned the hit singles “Give It to Me” featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, “The Way I Are” featuring Keri Hilson and D.O.E., and “Apologize” with OneRepublic.

Ester Dean is climbing the charts with “Drop It Low,” her collaboration with Chris Brown from the More Than a Game soundtrack. The rising star was bubbling with excitement as she shared the experience of recording with her famous peer.

“Chris Brown’s like a brother to me,” the songwriter behind Mary J. Blige’s “Stronger” and Keri Hilson’s “Make Love” tells Rap-Up.com. “I wanted him on ["Drop It Low"] after he wrote it and he said yes. We did a lot of songs together.”

Dean describes their sessions as electric. “Oh my God! There’s so much energy in there because him and his artist Scooter Smiff, all they do is dance. They’re sweating and they’re dancing,” she laughed. “It’s like a circus in there. It’s so much fun!”

But when they leave the studio, the friends try to avoid the pap’s flashing lights. “I don’t do the whole paparazzi thing. Chris came to my skate party. I like to hang with him inside places. I’m not used to all that.”

As for Brown, Dean says he has been keeping his head up through his recent troubles. “He’s been taking it like a man. His fans are very supportive of him and of course, we are too. We block it out. He has to deal with it himself. Our job is to keep everything positive.”

Madonna On Letterman

Madonna was a guest of David Letterman on the CBS Late Show Wednesday night. She made quite an entrance on the shoulders of the NY Rangers. She talked about her new greatest hits album Celebration and Dave managed to turn the conversation to her fling with Alex Rodriguez.
The Material Girl also touched on the breakup of her marriage to Guy Ritchie and the fact that the eight-year union had the couple living across the pond. Madonna offered by way of explanation, “It was the Bush years…a good time to be out of America.” She had this to say about her chances of marrying again, “I think I’d rather get run over by a train.”
Dave’s staff had done their homework and discovered that Madonna had never eaten pizza before, ‘a cheese thing’, so they made a quick trip next door to a pizzeria where their pre-ordered slices were waiting. Madge made a show of taking a bite of her olive adorned pie that was cheese barren.

Say It'ers I'm sitting here in tears because of this shocking but chilling news! An 8 day, E-I-G-H-T DAY year old baby was Raped and beaten by her own father!!!

Reginald Davis, 18, of Forrest City, AR, has been accused of raping his 8-day-old baby daughter. Police also charged him with second-degree battery, because the baby also suffered a fractured skull in the attack, which occurred on Labor Day, Sept. 1, 2008. He was sent to St. Francis County Jail. At his first court appearance, the following Wednesday, the judge, citing the severity of the crime, raised his bail from $50,000 to $100,000.

According to police Davis was visiting with the 15-year-old mother of his daughter. The mother went into the bathroom to take a shower before going to bed. When she came out she found blood on her newborn baby. The girl and her family, accompanied by Davis, took the baby to Forrest City Medical Center where she was treated for rape and a fractured skull. The hospital also notified the police. It turned out that the little girl’s injuries were so bad she was transferred to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. The police arrested Davis.

Lord take the wheel!! Lock him up throw away the key. I really feel that this justice system needs to be changed to whatever crime you comment, you should have that same act don onto you. The need to beat him and rape him then lock him up!! Cause that's just the kinda boy I am!!!

um. The producer with the Midas touch let Rap-Up.com in on a few secrets from his recording sessions with the pop princess.

“I’m working on Christina Aguilera’s album for next year,” Tricky told Rap-Up.com in an exclusive interview.

The follow-up to 2006’s Back to Basics has been described as a departure from her past efforts. “It’s just great. I wouldn’t say that it’s alternative, I wouldn’t say that it’s different,” he shared. “Christina’s always been an artist that moves the bar and that’s what the great ones do. They don’t stay in the same place for too long and this album is just another move for her.”

The hitmaking machine behind Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” believes this album will take its place among Aguilera’s best work. “I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped. I think it’s really, really amazing and I think it’s well put together.”

The record has something for everyone. “She’s mixing it up again. She’s singing R&B again, she’s doing pop. She’s doing it all, but she’s found a way to make it all meet in the middle because she’s so many different things. She’s a real serious musician, she’s a real serious pop artist, and she’s a real serious singer. She’s making all her audiences happy at the same time.”

The mother of one had previously revealed a collaboration with M.I.A. “I know that she did it,” confirmed Tricky, “and I know that there’s a lot of other cool features, like I know that she has Santigold and Flo Rida on there.”

Tricky enlisted the “Right Round” rapper for one of the cuts. “I put Flo Rida on my record because I love what he does. I think sometimes he doesn’t get credit for being as dope as he is, but he’s really dope.”

Fans will have to wait until next year for the album while the pop star focuses on Burlesque, her musical co-starring Cher. “She’s gonna do the film first. She didn’t want to not be able to promote this record because it’s gonna be a big record for her,” explained Tricky.

But rest assured that the futuristic-sounding project is on its way. “The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.”

You may have watched Amerie’s video for “Heard ’Em All” and wondered where was Lil Wayne. Weezy is about to go in front of the lens with the sexy singer in a new clip for the second single off her album In Love & War.

According to Rap-up Amerie will shoot a video for the remix to the Eric Hudson and Sean Garrett production with Lil Wayne in Miami today. The all-new video will be directed by Gil Green affiliate Dayo Harewood, Rap-Up.com has learned.

The Cash Money rapper’s scene was supposed to be a pick-up shot added later to the original, but instead an all-new video will be filmed.

“I always appreciate Lil Wayne, like what he does,” Amerie told Rap-Up TV about collaborating with Weezy F. Baby. “Actually that’s something that Mr. [L.A.] Reid was able to hook up ’cause everyone’s schedule’s been so crazy.”

Madonna has never been one to hold her tongue. The Material Girl has some advice for Kanye West after his rant during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at last month’s VMAs.

“He’s a bit impulsive,” the music industry vet told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show on Thursday. The rapper and pop queen previously collaborated on “Beat Goes On” from Madonna’s Hard Candy album.

When asked what she would have done in that situation, Madge said, “I would have given him a good talking to. He needs to put a lid on it.”

While she may not agree with ’Ye’s actions, that doesn’t take away from his artistic abilities. “I do think he’s very talented.”

Madonna believes the outspoken West should not take award shows so seriously. “He gets confused and by the way, it’s only an awards show,” she added. “We’re not passing a bill that deprives someone of their rights. He doesn’t need to protest.”

Snoop "rolled one up" with David Beckham at the adidas Originals by Originals launch party celebrating the collaboration between the soccer star and streetwear designer James Bond in Los Angeles on Wednesday (Sept. 30). CiCi is featured in an upcoming adidas commercial with Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Adrienne Bailon, Ryan Leslie, and more.

Interscope Geffen A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine, Lady Gaga, and Dr. Dre reunited at New York City’s GILT at The New York Palace Hotel to unveil their new Monster headphones to the U.S. media on Wednesday (Sept. 30).

“It’s like I’m listening to it for the first time again,” Dre said about hearing his classic Chronic album through his Beats by Dr. Dre. “Having one of these headphones is just another fun part of going back and hearing it like this.”

What does Lady Gaga listen to on her Heartbeats by Lady Gaga? “I love pop music, but right now I’m actually listening to a lot of heavy metal and industrial music, which sounds fantastic on these headphones because it really gives the juice to the record,” revealed the “Poker Face” singer.

Gaga’s fashionable triangular headphones are available later this month in red chrome, bright chrome, and black chrome starting at $99.95, while a cheaper, lightweight version of Dre’s popular Beats, Beats Solo, goes on sale in November in black and white for $179.95.

It’s over before it even began. Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s much-hyped “Fame Kills” joint tour has been officially canceled.

Rihanna’s still taking in all the Paris Fashion Week shows. And today, she kicked it front row at edgy designer Balmain’s Spring/Summer 2010 show:

For her first U.S. tour, it looks like international superstar Kylie Minogue will be taking fashion cues from American music’s leading ladies. With couture costumes designed by Jean Paul Gaultier — the same designer responsible for Lady Gaga’s outrageous VMA looks — Kylie will hit the stage sporting glittering bodysuits and long, sequined trenches identical to these sketches by the designer. And considering the designs’ notable lack of pants and sparkle overload, we can’t help but think Lady Gaga and Beyonce!

In a decade or so, don't be surprised if you hear crowds chanting the name "Lourdes" at movie theaters around the world – but not at concerts.

That's because Madonna's 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes Leon, wants to follow her mom's footsteps into a career on the stage – but as an actress, not a singer.

"I don't think she wants to be a singer. I think she wants to be an actress," Madonna, 51, tells PopEater. "I'm fine with it, as long as she finishes school, and takes it seriously."

Not that anything's decided, or that Madonna's either for or against Lourdes joining the family business.

"She also plays piano, and she's really into clothes and fashion and style. She can go in any direction. She's got a lot of diverse interests right now," Madonna says. "I'm not pushing anything. We'll see what she wants to do."

And whatever she decides to do, Lourdes – who's been a great big sis to her newest sibling, Mercy James – will be well-prepared for the photographers sure to hound her, Madonna says.

"She's grown up in the limelight, for sure," she says. "She's been protected, but she's been chased by the paparazzi since she was a tiny baby."

Will Ferrell's house is fast becoming a real boys' club.

The former Saturday Night Live star, 42 and his wife, auctioneer Viveca Paulin, 40, are expecting their third child, a boy, the actor's rep tells DIDNTINVITE.

The couple, who met in an acting class in 1995, have two sons already – Magnus, 5 ½, and Mattias, 2 ½. Their little brother is due in January, according to a source.

Ferrell last starred in this summer's Land of the Lost, and earlier this year his Broadway show, featuring his famous George W. Bush impersonation, was nominated for a Tony

Although the results of Michael Jackson’s autopsy have yet to be made public, new reports have emerged suggesting the findings of the procedure will show that the superstar was in good health at the time of of his death:

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson’s arms were covered with punctures, his face and neck were scarred and he had tattooed eyebrows and lips, but he wasn’t the sickly skeleton of a man portrayed by tabloids, according to his autopsy report obtained by The Associated Press. In fact, the Los Angeles County coroner’s report shows Jackson was a fairly healthy 50-year-old before he died of an overdose.

His 136 pounds were in the acceptable range for a 5-foot-9 man. His heart was strong with no sign of plaque buildup. And his kidneys and most other major organs were normal.

Still, Jackson had health issues: arthritis in the lower spine and some fingers, and mild plaque buildup in his leg arteries. Most serious was his lungs, which the autopsy report said were chronically inflamed and had reduced capacity that might have left him short of breath.

However, according to the document, the lung condition was not serious enough to be a direct or contributing cause of death.

“His overall health was fine,” said Dr. Zeev Kain, chairman of the anesthesiology department at the University of California, Irvine, who reviewed a copy of the autopsy report for the AP. “The results are within normal limits.”

Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles mansion June 25 after his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, administered the anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives to get the chronic insomniac to sleep, court documents state. Propofol, normally a surgical anesthetic used in operating rooms, acts as a respiratory depressant and requires constant monitoring.

When Murray realized Jackson was unresponsive, he began frantic efforts to revive him but Jackson never regained consciousness and was declared dead at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.

Though the full autopsy report has not been publicly released, the coroner’s office announced last month that Jackson’s death was a homicide caused by “acute propofol intoxication,” with the other sedatives listed as a contributing factor. They said the standard of care for administering propofol was not met and the recommended equipment for patient monitoring, precision dosing and resuscitation was missing.
