Paps gonna get ya, one way or another......  It looks like Rihanna has found new love in the new year. The singer, 21, kissed her new boyfriend while vacationing in Mexico on Monday (Jan. 4). The lucky man is 25-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp. He reportedly accompanied Rihanna to her New Year’s Eve concert in Abu Dhabi. Photos via Just Jared.

James Cameron's Avatar continued its reign at the box office for the third week in a row. The film grossed $68.3 million domestically and surpassed the $1 billion mark worldwide, only the fifth film in history to do that.

Avatar has grossed $352.1 million domestically in only 17 days and has made $1.02 billion worldwide. 20th Century Fox distribution executive Bert Livingston attributed the continued strong showing to positive word-of-mouth and repeat viewers. Most blockbusters open big and then slowly die off in the coming weeks while Avatar's gross has been consistent from week to week.

"It's like a runaway freight train. It just keeps doing business," Livingston said. "Here's what's happening: I think everybody has to see 'Avatar' once. Even people who don't normally go to the movies, they've heard about it and are saying 'I have to see it.' Then there's those people seeing it multiple times."

Cameron's Titanic is the biggest worldwide blockbuster with grosses of $1.8 billion.
Coming in second for the weekend was Sherlock Holmes with $38.4 million, followed by Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel with $36.6 million. The Meryl Streep comedy, It's Complicated, came in at no. 4 with $18.7 million.

Hollywood set a record in 2009 with $10.7 billlion in ticket sales domestically.

irls, girls, girls. Trey Songz has plenty of them in the video for “Say Aah” featuring Fabolous. Wynter Gordon and DJ Clue make cameos in the Yolande Geralds-directed clip, which was shot in Brooklyn.

Rihanna's got the music stuff down pat, and now she's apparently giving a new creative medium a go. The songstress has apparently been penning a book titled Rihanna: The Last Girl on Earth, and it's due out in June! The 144-page book is getting some help from Simon Henwood, the guy who did the logo for her latest Rated R album, according to Examiner.com. And, it'll sell for 50 bucks! Ouch!

Rihanna (Pacific Coast News)
From the first emerging details, it sounds like it might be a picture book type thing. We have a hard time wrapping our heads around paying $50 for anything less than 144 glorious pages of Rihanna pictures!

Rihanna brought in the New Year by performing at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, for a whopping $500,000, it's been said. She could buy a lot of her own books with that cash.

In other Rihanna news “Rated R” sold this week 209,000 copies worldwide, which means that the album sold more than 1 million (1,013,000) copies in just 5 weeks. It is the fastest album ever by Rihanna to reach 1 million copies sold!

Congratulations, RiRi!

Warren Beatty's legendary gold crown for womanizing is about to get some added polish, with this week's publication of Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America – though the 72-year-old star has already issued a statement though his attorney to refute the book's claims.

"Using simple arithmetic," author Peter Biskind calculates, according to New York Post, Betty bedded "12,775 women, give or take, a figure that does not include daytime quickies, drive-bys, casual gropings, stolen kisses and so on."

But in a statement to the Huffington Post, Beatty's attorney, Bertram Fields, denies that the book – which the Post reported was authorized – was, in fact, sanctioned by the actor.

"Mr. Biskind's tedious and boring book on Mr. Beatty was not authorized by Mr. Beatty and should not be published as an authorized biography," according to the attorney. "It contains many false assertions and purportedly quotes Mr. Beatty as saying things he never said. Other media should not repeat things from the book on the assumption that they are true or that the book is an authorized biography."

Among Beatty's conquests, Biskind writes, the Bonnie and Clyde, Heaven Can Wait and Reds star-producer can claim Jane Fonda (who at first thought her costar was gay), Joan Collins (whom he exhausted), Leslie Caron, Isabelle Adjani, Julie Christie, Diane Keaton, Madonna and, of course, the actress Beatty married in 1992, Annette Bening.

Poor Leona Lewis. A few months ago a fan punched her in the face at her book signing, and then just a day before New Year's Eve, she took a tumble off her horse in L.A. and has been spotted hobbling around on crutches. The hits just keep coming! At least her music career really took off in 2009.

She wasn't seriously injured from the fall, but the songstress was apparently thrown from the horse when it took off into a speedy gallop. A friend of hers said (via Perez Hilton): "Leona was riding the day before New Year's Eve and fell off when the horse started galloping too fast. It was pretty scary. She had quite a tumble."

Sources said she is doing well, and will get right back up on the horse -- once her boo-boos have healed.

The unlikely friendship struck up between Elton John and Eminem is apparently deeper than the duo's 2001 Grammy Awards show performance of "Stan." The British singer said in a radio interview he's been helping the Detroit rapper kick his addictions to prescription drugs.

"I've been helping Eminem over the last 18 months and he's doing brilliantly," he told BBC Radio on Friday. Elton himself battled drug and alcohol problems earlier in his career, but has claimed sobriety since the early 1980s. He didn't elaborate on how he's helping Eminem, but Elton said in the interview he helps people if they need it.

"I'm there if people want my help," he said. "If people ask for help you tell them where to go but there's no point advising people if they don't want to do it."

Eminem's addictions were a recurring theme in his 2009 hit album, Relapse. In an interview with Vibe, he said  he was taking "10 to 20" Vicodin pain pills daily. He also admitted to abusing Valium and Ambien, and said his abuse got so bad that he couldn't remember how many pills he was taking daily.

Keri Hilson packed two tour buses with her family and friends and drove down to Miami to celebrate New Year’s at Karu & Y nightclub. Mike Tyson will be starting 2010 on a good note: Los Angeles prosecutors declined to file charges against the boxer after he allegedly punched a photographer at L.A. International Airport last month.

"After a full and thorough review, we've decided not to file charges against either party due to insufficient evidence," L.A. City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said Thursday.

Tyson's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley stated that the photographer had "aggressively approached" the boxer and his family by "provoking and harassing them," and at one point bumped into a baby stroller carrying Tyson's 10-month-old baby daughter.

The photographer, Tony Echevarria, 50, denied he was being aggressive. "I was shooting from a distance, and I was respectful," he said.

Jennifer Lopez had jaws dropping in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, wearing a skin-tight, sparkly bodysuit. She performed “Louboutins,” “Waiting for Tonight,” and “Let’s Get Loud” on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” and was then joined by her husband Marc Anthony for a midnight kiss.

Two days into the New Year and the revealing catsuit Jennifer Lopez wore on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve to sing "Waiting for Tonight" is still causing eyes to roll – in both awe and anxiety.

Though the ABC show's host Ryan Seacrest let the 41-year-old singer know that her outfit "made my year," Alicia Lundgren, a 24-year-old dancer from Philadelphia, told Jenny from the block's hometown paper, the New York Daily News, "There's too many wrinkles. It looks like elephant skin."

Not all the remarks about the ensemble were catty. Some prompted catcalls, including a "Wow" from Jason Ray, 24, a legal assistant from near Times Square, where Thursday's festivities – and the fashion display – took place. "I think she looks good after having twins!" he told the newspaper.

Underneath the sheer garment, Lopez sported little beyond her spangled red-soled Louboutin heels.

And her famous caboose? The News determined it seems to have shrunk. "Did she get butt surgery?" asked a Tweeter.

Rosie O'Donnell is off the market!

The comedian and former TV talk show host – who in mid-November revealed that her longtime partner Kelli Carpenter moved out of their home two years ago – is now dating Tracy Kachtick-Anders, a Texas-based artist.

The pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Miami Beach on Tuesday.

Last month, when asked if she was enjoying the single life, O'Donnell, 47, told our friends over at PEOPLE, "I'm not. But on we grow, so to speak."

And in October, in an interview with Examiner.com, Kachtick-Anders said, "Maybe for a future plan, I'd like a date with an inspiring woman!"

Like O'Donnell, Kachtick-Anders is active in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parenting and adoption issues. She launched Open Arms Campaign, a non-profit organization to recruit and foster adoptive families that targets the LGBT community. "I have become an activist and work to educate everyone, not only about the plight of foster children," she wrote on TheRainbowBabies.com, "but also the inequality that faces LGBT people in their quest to create families." Kachtick-Anders has six children, five of whom are adopted, according to the Examiner.com.

O'Donnell, meanwhile, is gearing up for the airing on HBO in late January of A Family Is A Family Is A Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration, a documentary that challenges the traditional ideas of family.
