Rihanna shot down rumors that she's been seeing pro baseball player Matt Kemp on a radio show Thursday morning. The singer was on Los Angeles radio show Valentine in the Morning on 104.3 MY FM, when she opened up about her dating life.

Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone." Bored with the game, Rihanna went on, "I'm still single, if that's what you really want to ask!"

Rihanna and Kemp were spotted earlier this month kissing on a yacht in Cabo San Lucas. The two later appeared together at a Los Angeles Clippers game. When asked about the racy Cabo pictures, Rihanna said of the trip, "It was a blast!"

Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna are jointly nominated for a Grammy for "Run This Town," for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Of the nomination, Rihanna said, "This was actually the first piece of music we did since the last Grammys. It's exciting that it's nominated."

Rihanna was scheduled to perform at last year's Grammy awards, but the appearance was canceled after a violent incident in which then-boyfriend Chris Brown admitted to beating her.

Michael Jackson's mother is reportedly working with Grammy organizers so that his three children will be able to participate in the massive tribute to the late pop star's legacy. The tribute is set to take place during the awards ceremony at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Sunday.

Their appearance would be in keeping with Michael Jackson's history with the Grammys. "Michael first unveiled his legendary moonwalk at the Grammys, so it's only right they all go out with a tribute," an unnamed source to the British newspaper, the Mirror.

The tribute, which is set to include the premiere of the 3-D "Earth Song" mini-movie, will feature performances from stars including UsherJennifer HudsonCeline Dion and Smokey Robinson.

Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z take their privacy very seriously, possibly a bit too seriously sometimes. They couple are rarely seen in romantic poses or even communicating their affection for each other. So it came as a nice surprise to see them caught off-guard as they strolled through Nice airport hand in hand today. But nothing is ever as it seems with this couple and on closer inspection, they actually appeared to be holding a couple of oranges.

The smiles – and momentary dropping of the barriers – were perhaps down to last night’s success at the NRJ awards – the top event in France’s music calendar. Jay-Z received a rapturous response from the crowd at Cannes as he performed Empire’s State of Mind, while wife Beyoncé, picked up an honorary award.

Rihanna and Wil.I.Am were spotted at Cannes airport together this morning as well. According to sources she's heading back to Los Angeles.

A remorseless cat killer who helped roast a kitty in a 500-degree oven was sentenced yesterday to two years in prison.

Cheyenne Cherry, 18, had nothing to say as Bronx Supreme Court Judge Margaret Clancy gave her two years for attempted burglary and one year for animal torture - to run concurrently.
She's also barred from owning a pet for three years.
Cherry and a 14-year-old accomplice trashed her former roommate's apartment on May 6.
She stood by as the 14-year-old stuffed little Tiger Lily into the oven.

Cherry, who pleaded guilty in July, told cops after the incident that it was "just a joke."
At a recent court appearance, she stuck her tongue out at an animal activist and said, "It's dead, b----!"
Her younger accomplice got 18 months in a juvenile facility.

When your father is Sean “Diddy” Combs, you can expect him to pull out all the stops. Diddy spared no expense celebrating his son Justin Dior Combs’ 16th birthday at M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City on Saturday (Jan. 23).

Justin, whose mother is stylist Misa Hylton, arrived with his date for the evening, Nicki Minaj, who also performed. In addition, Trey Songz, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Fabolous, and G. Dep hit the stage. Lil’ Kim, Janice Combs, Teyana Taylor, and the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” partied with the birthday boy, who received a chauffeur-driven Maybach from his music mogul father.

The “Prince of New York”-themed bash was filmed for MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16” to air at a later date.

And the awards just keep on comin’ for Mo’Nique. At Saturday night’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, Mo’Nique won the Female Actor in a Supporting Role Award. This comes only one week after winning the Supporting Actress award at the Golden Globes and at the Critic’s Choice Awards.

Another much deserved win for her. Looks like her road to the Oscars is nice and paved. Congrats Mo’Nique!

Check out Mo'Nique press call after she wins the Golden Globe. She is so classy and elegant. I love the way she handled the one guy at 1:30 about Rihanna.  I loves loves loves Mo'  Congrats again Sista, you deserve all your blessings to come.

NRJ Music Awards 2010

The 11th Annual NRJ Music Awards rolled through Cannes over the weekend and brought along performances from Jay-Z (“Empire State of Mind”), Rihanna (“Russian Roulette”), Black Eyed Peas (“I Gotta Feeling” and “Meet Me Halfway”), and Kelly Rowland and David Guetta (“When Love Takes Over”). Pharrell presented the NRJ Award of Honor to Beyoncé.

Kelis took the night off from being a mom to perform at the Film Lounge during the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on Friday (Jan. 22). The New Yorker was in an “Empire State of Mind,” dressed in a Statue of Liberty-inspired getup. The singer, whose new album Fleshtones is due this spring, was all smiles as she danced and sipped from a giant glass of Stella Artois.

Alicia Keys is one of music's heavy hitters, but she still gets awestruck and has big dreams about collaborating with her idols. The "No One" singer, who has won nine Grammy Awards during her music career,  says it would be a dream come true to record a track with Prince. She's met him, and was totally dumbfounded.

Alicia Keys (Bauer Griffin)
Speaking during an appearance on UK radio station BBC Radio 1Xtra, the 28-year musician said: "I met Prince before. I tried to act cool but I definitely had a little star-struck moment. He’s great.”

Although Alicia, who was interviewed by Trevor Nelson for his show which airs on Saturday evening, is targeting Prince for a collaboration, she is happy for now to have got the opportunity to work with Beyonce Knowles on her soon-to-be released single "Put It In A Love Song."

Alicia, 28, said: "We had a lot of fun. It's nice that we just celebrate each others careers, that's what the song is about, coming together to empower each other. We've become really good friends. We've been in the business about the same amount of time and both signed to Columbia records together when we were 14. It was like a party in the studio, the energy was so high and chemistry was genuine."

It’s not only "Raspberry Beret" hitmaker Prince who Alicia has got her artistic eyes on. She recently revealed she would be keen to collaborate with Kings of Leon and M.I.A. as well.
She said: "Working with other people is definitely something I want to do more of. I love it a lot. It takes me out of my element into a whole other world. I'd love to collaborate with Kings of Leon and M.I.A. I think would be crazy."
