One of the most powerful women in the world, Oprah Winfrey, is speaking out about the Chris Brown-Rihanna incident.

“It makes me so sad,” Oprah said on Friday’s live edition of her popular talk show. “Love doesn’t hurt. If a man hits you once, he will hit you again,” she warned.

Her advice for the recently reunited couple? “If I were your friend, I would call you up and say give it some time. Get yourself some counseling.”

The Queen of Daytime TV has dedicated a show to “the Rihannas of the world.” The episode, entitled “Dating Violence,” will air Thursday, March 12.

That’s right, it’s Kandi Burruss from the 90’s group, Xscape, and she just signed on as the latest ATL Housewife, while Tiny will stick her nose in as a quasi-housewife:

NeNe, Kim, Sheree, and Lisa, make room for one more! EW.com has learned exclusively that DeShawn Snow’s replacement on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta is Kandi Burruss, a singer-songwriter from the platinum-selling ’90s R&B girl group Xscape (which also included sistersLaTocha and Tamika Scott, as well as Burruss’ best friend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle). Burruss is undeniably the most notable member from Xscape. Since the group parted ways in the late ’90s, she had a somewhat successful solo singing career (her biggest hit: “Don’t Think I’m Not”) but has seen ever greater successes with songwriting. Along with Cottle (who’s married to rap superstar T.I.), she wrote TLC’s 1999 smash hit “No Scrubs.” Burruss has also penned jams for Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, Boyz II Men, Alicia Keys, and Faith Evans. The singer-songwriter has a daughter, 6-year-old Riley, from a previous relationship, and a boyfriend. Burruss fills the spot vacated by DeShawn Snow, who is the wife of Cleveland Cavaliers NBA player and NBA TV announcer Eric Snow.

L.A.’s famed Robertson Boulevard got just a little more glamorous yesterday, as M.A.C.’s Viva Glam spokesperson, Fergie, turned up at the flagship store to unveil a much-anticipated new shade, Viva Glam VI. And it was all for a good cause. Just like past Viva Glam shades, 100% of proceeds of the full selling price goes directly to AIDS charities. PEOPLE.com chatted with the singer who dished about her part in developing the new hue. “They brought about 10 different shades and laid them out and let me pick,” she said of the light, shimmer color. “It was important for me to find a shade that looked good on all skin tones — day and night,” she said. “And I love pink!” The singer also stopped by Project Angel Food, a Viva Glam beneficiary, which provides free meals for those living with HIV/AIDS. “This is something that I like doing because it’s not just about me,” she said of the charity aspect of her ambassadorship. “It’s about people and I get to meet their families and hear their true stories. It’s for real and these people are really doing the charity work and putting care into what they’re doing,” she says. You can help support the cause — and look gorgeous doing it — when you purchase the new Viva Glam VI shade at maccosmetics.com starting March 19 or one of the other dazzling hues now.

After rolling into Miami, Britney Spears's Circus Tour featured a sideshow for a worthy cause.

The pop star paid a visit to 40 sick children at Miami Children's Hospital on Saturday. "She took pictures with the kids and gave them autographed pictures," hospital spokesperson Cristene Martinez tells PEOPLE. "The kids were so excited to meet Britney, and having her here was a great distraction for them."

She also made a donation to the hospital's Big Apple Circus Clown Care program, which features clowns who have medical training who visit the young patients on a regular basis, as well as attend special events at the hospital.

Spears, 27, who did not have her own children with her, stayed about a half hour, then left with her bodyguard to prepare for her show at the America Airlines Arena

A detective's notes from the scene of the alleged Rihanna assault reveal disturbing details about what happened between the singer and her boyfriend Chris Brown in the early hours of Feb. 8.

According to a search warrant in the case, Rihanna, 21, read a three-page text message from a woman on Brown's phone, which led to an argument. Brown – who was charged with two felonies Thursday – allegedly tried to force his girlfriend out of the Lamborghini, and hit her head against the passenger window.

Rihanna then "turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand," says the paperwork. "He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand."

According to the detective's notes taken by Det. De Shon Andrew, blood filled Rihanna's mouth. Brown, 19, allegedly told her, "I'm going to beat the s--- out of you when we get home. You wait and see!" Rihanna called her assistant and left a message saying, "I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there." The police notes say that prompted Brown to reply: "You just did the stupidest thing ever. Now I'm really going to kill you."

The report also says that Brown bit Rihanna and put her in a headlock, and that she almost lost consciousness.

"Brown resumed punching [Rihanna] and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face," according to the notes. "She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown."

Eventually, Rihanna began screaming for help and Brown got out of the car, according to the notes. A nearby resident heard the calls for help and called 911.

Almost three weeks after the incident, the couple reunited in Miami Beach last week.

FOX 11 in Los Angeles was first to report on the detective's notes.

I liked this vid..and I listen to this song about everyday now. "Rebirth," Lil' Wayne's first all-rock album, is set for a May 19th release.

For years, Terrell Owens has been labeled a cancer to the teams he's played for and now it seems its finally starting to come back to him. According to DallasCowboys.com staff writer, Josh Ellis, the team informed Owens Wednesday night that he was going to be released.

The team has not officially announced the decision, but Owens texted several of his teammates with announcement. The decision comes after a drama-filled 2008 season that saw and heard reports of animosity between Owens and Romo along with several coaches. Despite having three 1,000 yard seasons with the team, team brass apparently thought the locker room environment was more important. Of course, Owens was still under contract and the team will owe him a cool $9.6 million for the next season.

Now that Owens is a free agent, who would want him?

Chris Brown has to face the music.

The L.A. District Attorney's office announced Thursday that the R&B star was being charged with two felonies – assault and making criminal threats – in the alleged beating of his girlfriend Rihanna last month. Even though the couple seem to have reconciled, the case is proceeding.

If convicted, Brown faces anywhere from probation to a maximum four years and eight months in state prison, DA spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.

Brown is expected to enter a plea in court Thursday. He is required to appear in person.

The formal charges come almost a month after the couple argued early the morning of Feb. 8, just hours before Rihanna, 21, and Brown, 19, were both scheduled to perform at the Grammys. Police notes from the scene, which FOX 11 in L.A. claims it obtained, reportedly say Brown punched, bloodied and threatened to kill his girlfriend.

Later that day, Brown turned himself in to police and was booked for making criminal threats, a felony.

As police began two investigations – one into the alleged battery and the other an internal probe into the leak of a shocking photo of an injured Rihanna – the pair went their own ways. But the separation was short-lived.

Confounding Rihanna's family, the pair reunited in Miami Beach the weekend of Feb. 28, spending time at the Star Island mansion of Sean "Diddy" Combs. A source close to the couple told Didntinviteme that the couple was "definitely together" and working on a reconciliation.

Early Monday, they returned on the same private plane to Los Angeles.

A rep for Rihanna had no comment.

There have been countless stories over the last several years about potential comeback projects for one-time "King of Pop" Michael Jackson.

Finally, the speculation that the former Jackson 5 front man is ready to return to the stage is actually true!
Jackson revealed during a London press conference his new deal with AEG Live for a series of concert shows at the London arena, The 02.

Longtime Jackson family supporter Flo Anthony, who hosts the nationally syndicated 'Gossip On The Go With Flo' radio segment, is optimistic that a comeback show by the 'Thriller' singer is just what he needs.
"I feel that Michael's show in London is going to be bigger than ever,"

Late last year questions about Jackson's health were raised after best-selling author Ian Halperin completed a tome about Jackson 's life.

In the forthcoming book, Halperin claims that 50-year-old singer suffers from Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a potentially fatal genetic illness, as well as emphysema and gastrointestinal bleeding. New reports indicate that Jackson was cleared by doctors during a medical checkup, which was necessary for AEG Live to secure the insurance needed for the pending concert series. "I've been telling people for the last few months that nothing is wrong with his health. As usual, I was right! The only thing wrong with him is a broken spirit. That trial took a lot out of him. This show will be just what the doctor ordered to put a smile on his face, some pep in his step and he will be great," offered Anthony.
There has been speculation that Jackson, who has not toured in more than 12 years, is returning to the stage because of his ongoing financial issues.

Fox News columnist Roger Friedman says the international icon is set to make $10 million for 10 concerts, with an expansion clause that could offer $30 million for 20 to 30 shows if the initial 10 shows sell well.
"The deal solves Jackson's immediate cash problems. He owes $7 million to Prince Abdulla of in a settled breach of contract suit. He's also possibly over $50 million in debt to Colony Capital LLC. Colony's emissary, mysteriously named Dr. Tohme Tohme, is Jackson 's manager now, too," explained Friedman.
Anthony, who is also CEO of Dottie Media Group LLC, believes that media accounts of Jackson 's financial problems have been sensationalized.

"I have never felt that Michael is as broke as people keep saying he is. Of course, the $10 million salary is important, but he also recently received around $30 million in cash with the refinancing of Neverland. And, what people don't understand is, Michael is auctioning off Neverland's contents simply because he doesn't want to be there anymore," she countered.
Regardless the 'Bad' singer announced on Thursday, March 5 during a live press conference he'll make his debut at The 02 arena on July 9.

After being tardy to the press conference because of traffic delays, Jackson told the crowd the shows in London will be has last stage performances.
"I just want to say that these will be my final show performances in London. This will be it. When I say this is it, it really means this is it," Jackson stated during the press conference. "I'll be performing the songs my fans want to hear...this is the final curtain call. I'll see you in July." Fans in attendance shouted pleasantries, as the press conference was open to the public and Jackson returned the sentiment. "I love you very much," the entertainer told onlookers. "This is it. I love you. I really do so much. From the bottom of my heart. This is it. See you in July!"

He then raised his fist in the air, struck a series of poses, and exited the stage. The O2 arena will host pop star Britney Spears for eight nights beginning in June. It's also the same venue that megastars like Tina Turner, Prince, Celine Dion, Lionel Richie and Beyonce have played.

Britney Spears descended from the New Orleans Arena ceiling and back into fans' hearts Tuesday night, restarting her career after years of tabloid tumult with a bump-and-grind performance on a Big Top stage.

"Ahhh Britney!" gushed one concert-goer via a Twitter message posted on Spears's Web site, which live-blogged the show in words and cell-phone photos.

As the pop star launched her first tour in five years, the 16-song set began with Spears, 27, being lowered from the rafters in a cage and breaking into the single "Circus," followed by "Piece of Me" and Radar" with stripper-pole dancing.

"Oh my god, she looks amazing," said Joshua Matassa, 23, from New Orleans. "And the show's a spectacle – it really looks like a three-ring circus."

Later, fire shot out of the middle of the stage during "Slave," and the nearly sold-out 19,000-seat arena broke out into an explosion of screams as Spears performed "Toxic" and "Baby One More Time" back-to-back.

To cap off the show, pyrotechnics made firey rain sprinkle down on Spears and her dance crew as they finished performing "Womanizer."

"Thank you so much," said Spears as she blew a kiss to the crowd. "You have a good night."

The performance marked a dramatic return to form for Spears, who's been rehearsing for the 32-city tour, and placed aside – for now – the issues that derailed her personal and professional lives: the messy divorce from Kevin Federline, losing custody of her children, and the self-acknowledged breakdown that followed.

Instead, Tuesday was a night of celebration and a chance for Spears, who hails from Kentwood, about 100 miles away, to bask in the glow of hometown fans.

Six-time Grammy winner Prince is taking an innovative approach to making his forthcoming release available at retail.
The iconoclast has inked a new deal with Target to be the exclusive retail distributor for his three-disc set of new studio recordings.

The collection includes two original studio albums by Prince called 'LOtUSFLOW3R' and 'MPLSoUND.' The third disc is titled 'Elixer' and introduces the singer's new artist, Bria Valente.
Target will bundle all three albums together in a three-disc set for only $11.98, available for purchase exclusively at the retail store and on Target.com beginning March 29.

The 50-year-old singer has taken unconventional means of releasing music over the last decade.
In 1993 after a highly publicized battle with Warner Bros. Records and Warner/Chappell Publishing, Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol and was mostly called "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince."
In May 2000, Prince ceased using the Love Symbol name and returned to using Prince after his publishing contract with Warner/Chappell expired.

The singer's 11 CD releases since then have been done in partnership with various record labels, his own music club and other distribution means.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for "Best Original Song" in 2007 for 'Song of the Heart' from the animated film 'Happy Feet.'

Often noted for his introverted behavior by his contemporaries like W.E.B. Du Bois, historian Carter Woodson may have lived a lonely life, but he lived one with a purpose. His lifetime goal was to educate the public about the contributions and history of blacks. Through the creation of an association dedicated to documenting black history and his publication of numerous historical works, Woodson accomplished this goal and much more; he was instrumental in the success of Negro History Week, which eventually led to Black History Month.

On Tuesday, Britney Spears will kick off her anticipated Circus tour in New Orleans surrounded by fans – and touched by the support of her family.

"I am so excited for her, and I wish I could be there," Spears's aunt, Linda Ann Brandon-Kjos, tells PEOPLE. "All the family is there and supporting her. I'm sure that she is going to be just fine. I think it is going to be something really special."

After spending the weekend with family in Kentwood, Spears, 27, has arrived in New Orleans in advance of her show at the New Orleans Arena. The singer's set-list, which was revealed Monday, shows that she'll perform a mix of old and new hits. Spears, who is the new face of Candie's, also released a short video preview of the concert on her Web site, with a longer version on the Candie's site.

Sources close to the pop star have said that she has been working hard preparing for the show, which will include a three-ring circus set-up and magic tricks.

In a rapidly developing story filled with twists, NFL players Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper remain missing after disappearing during a fishing trip in Clearwater, off Florida's Gulf Coast on Saturday. The pair, along with two former South Florida players, were reported missing on Sunday morning, a day after they were scheduled to return. The group was on a 21-foot vessel owned by one of the NFL players when it vanished without a trace with all of them aboard. Oddly, Coast Guard officials say they received no Mayday call nor did they spot any flares from the distressed men. Despite this, we do know that at least one of the men was an experienced boater and often provided GPS coordinates to relatives from previous fishing expeditions.

On Monday afternoon, there was a dramatic development. The Coast Guard said it found a survivor clinging to the wreckage of boat. That person is believed to be University of South Florida player Nick Schuyler.

According to an ESPN.com report:
Coast Guard Capt. Timothy M. Close says Schuyler told rescuers that the 21-foot boat was anchored when it flipped Saturday evening in rough seas. Schuyler told rescuers the others got separated from the boat and that he had been clinging to it since.

Television footage shows Schuyler conscious but weak as he was being taken off a Coast Guard helicopter at Tampa General Hospital and placed on a stretcher.

The St. Petersburg Times reported that Schuyler's family has been alerted by the Coast Guard and that Schuyler was found alive and is talking. Schuyler is en route to a Tampa-area hospital.

Asked for a reaction from the newspaper, Stuart Schuyler, who is Nick's father, said: "Like God heard me."

The men were reported missing Sunday, and the Coast Guard had searched about 16,000 square miles of ocean for the 21-foot Everglades-manufactured boat by Monday morning.

Everglades boats are built with compressed foam encased in Fiberglas, which makes them difficult or impossible to sink.

Petty Officer Sondra-Kay Kneen confirmed searchers located a boat. No further details were available.

The 29-year-old Smith of Richmond, Va., is 6-foot-2, 250 pounds and had 30 tackles, including three sacks, and an interception in 12 games last season for the winless Lions.

Cooper, 26, is 6-foot-3, 230 pounds. He spent five seasons with five different teams, appearing in 26 games with the Buccaneers in 2004 and 2005, but playing sparingly since. He grew up in Gilbert, Ariz., and his father Bruce is a prominent sportscaster for KPNX-TV in Phoenix.

Smith and Cooper were teammates on the Tampa Bay Bucaneers in 2004.

The search continues for the three remaining men.

Electrik Red settle in on their own Wisteria Lane in the “Desperate Housewives”-inspired video for “Friend Lover” directed by Marc Klasfeld. The-Dream’s girl group will release its debut album How to Be a Lady: Volume 1 on April 21.

Despite the negative media attention, Chris Brown enjoyed some fun in the sun this weekend. The “Run It!” singer was seen riding a jet ski on Miami Beach’s Star Island before he and Rihanna jetted off on Sunday.

Brown was with his on-again girlfriend staying at one of Diddy’s Miami homes after the couple reunited last week.

The 19-year-old pop star was seen driving a Jeep Wrangler while an unidentified male shielded his face with an Apple laptop.

Later that night, the couple was sighted boarding a private jet at a Miami airport surrounded by security personnel. Rihanna covered up her face with sunglasses and a sweatshirt. The plane later arrived in Los Angeles.

Blondes Have More Fun?

Christina Milian has a new blonde hairdo to go along with her new album title. The “Us Against the World” singer was seen rocking blonde locks and sunglasses (again) at the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks game at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., on Sunday. She was joined courtside by her on- and off-the-record collaborator The-Dream.

It looks like the blonde hair is just one of the many changes Milian has in store for fans after announcing her deal with Dream’s Radio Killa Records.

Her much-anticipated Circus tour is kicking off Tuesday, but Britney Spears has even more to look forward to. Marking her first-ever apparel endorsement, the princess of pop has been named the next Candie’s Only at Kohl’s spokesmodel. The singer will be stepping into the shoes of Heroes star Hayden Panettiere who was the face of the shoe line for two years. As part of her new gig, Britney will appear in Candie’s print, television, in-store and online ads this year. Candie’s and Kohl’s also plan to follow Spears on her comeback tour, rolling out pink carpets and VIP lounges for her fans. The retailers will even host the “First Look” tour video that will give fans a sneak peek at her performances.

Last week, at the Walter Reade Theater in New York City, director Spike Lee and members of the cast and crew relived memories of the critically acclaimed film during a discussion held by ImageNation Cinema Foundation.

In attendance were Rosie Perez, John Turturro, John Savage, Monty Ross, Ernest Dickerson, Frankie Faison, Richard Edson, Malcolm Lee, Roger Guenveur Smith, Malinda Williams and husband D-Nice, and Dennis White.

The event kicked off with Chuck D of Public Enemy, who performed the hit song 'Fight The Power,' followed by a screening and then a Q and A with Spike and the cast.

It's the hottest day of the year in the predominantly black neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, in Brooklyn, N.Y. The only local businesses are a Korean grocery and Sal's Pizzeria. Mookie (played by Lee), Sal's delivery boy, manages to be at the center of the action as racial tension grow high.

'Do The Right Thing' garnered many awards during its release, including an Oscar nomination for Spike Lee for best original screenplay.

Just when Disney thought the Jonas Brothers' concert film would do as well as the one Miley Cyrus did a year ago, its hopes were dashed by the ever present Madea. Tyler Perry's 'Madea Goes To Jail,' which also stars Derek Luke and Keshia Knight Pulliam, sustained its position atop the box office with an estimated $16.5 million. Its total take now stands at $64.9 million, making it the biggest Perry movie yet, surpassing 'Madea's Family Reunion,' which took in $63.3 million total when it came out in 2006.

Coming in second place with a disappointing $12.7 million was 'Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.' A year ago, Disney scored well with 'Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour.' That film brought in an astonishing $31 million from just 683 theaters. The Jonas film was played in twice as many theaters but failed to bring in the same numbers.

Capitalizing on its Oscar win for best picture, 'Slumdog Millionaire' ranked third, with an estimated $12.2 million. The Fox Searchlight film has grossed $115.1 million since its release in November. Crossing the $100 million mark with the $9 million it brought in this weekend was the fourth-place film 'Taken.' The Liam Neeson film has a total cume of $107 million. Rounding out the top five was the romantic comedy 'He's Just Not That Into You,' with $5.8 million. The film, which stars Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck and Justin Long, has a total take of $78.5 at the box office.
