Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” case will be re-examined at the order of the Supreme Court. Today the justices sent the case back to the federal court in Philadelphia that had originally thrown out the $550,000 government fine against CBS, the network responsible for airing the segment in which the singer’s breast was briefly exposed during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show. The FCC ruled the segment obscene, and 20 of CBS’ affiliates were also fined.

Congress reacted quickly to the incident by increasing the limit on indecency fines tenfold to $325,000 per network, with affiliates accountable for the same amount. However, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals believed that the communications commission had acted “arbitrarily and capriciously.”

Normally live shows are on a five-second delay - Janet’s performance was not.

The television networks say their scripted shows no longer air nudity, racy images or expletives, even after 10 p.m., when some potentially vulgar words are permitted. Networks worry, however, about unplanned, spontaneous indecency or profane incidents during live events such as awards shows and sporting events - censors are on hand to bleep any offensive language. Some indecent words can slip through, and they want to be protected from heavy government fines.

CBS issued this statement today, “[the appeals court] will again recognize that the Super Bowl incident, while inappropriate and regrettable, was not and could not have been anticipated by CBS.”

Swizz Beatz is playing millionaire matchmaker with Whitney Houston. We previously reported that the producer had crafted a “smash” for the legendary diva’s new album. Now Swizzy is revealing the name of the track to Rap-Up.com.

The hitmaker has been in the lab with Houston working on her first studio album in six years. He tells Rap-Up.com that the song is an uptempo banger called “Mill Dollar Bill.”

“I got a big comeback record for her,” Swizz wrote on his Twitter page last month. “She’s comin’ back crazy!”

In addition to Swizz Beatz, Houston has collaborated with songwriter Diane Warren, will.i.am, Ne-Yo, and John Legend for the as-yet-untitled project.

Rihanna is about to take the fashion world by storm again. If reports are to be believed, the pop star will make her first red carpet appearance since her fight with Chris Brown at tonight’s Met Costume Ball.

According to designer Marc Jacobs, the 21-year-old will be in New York City tonight for the gala, where clothing designers and celebrities come together.

“Madonna…Victoria Beckham…I’m trying to think, now I can’t remember!” Jacobs told Fashion Week Daily when asked who will be seated at his table at this year’s event. “Anne Hathaway…Winona [Ryder]…Rachel Feinstein, John Currin…and Rihanna!”

The Barbados beauty has shied away from the media since appearing at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy celebration on Feb. 8, the same night as her altercation with Brown.

Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will host tonight’s soiree at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Love is a battlefield for Amerie. The “1 Thing” hitmaker is showing her scars on her new album, which has been renamed.

Earlier this month, Amerie announced the title of her first Island Def Jam release, Break Ups to Make Ups. According to the singer’s Twitter page, she has officially changed the name of her fourth studio effort. The long-awaited R&B project will now be called In Love & War.

Set for a June/July release, the album is expected to include contributions from Bryan-Michael Cox, Tricky Stewart, Warryn “Baby Dubb” Campbell, Bangladesh, No I.D., and Cool & Dre.

For anyone who had their doubts, Eminem is still as crazy as ever. Rap’s mentally-ill patient goes on a killing spree in the gory video for “3 A.M.,” the third track to be released from his sixth studio album Relapse.

Watch the blood bath below. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Michelle Williams will star as Roxie Hart in 'Chicago' on London's West End this summer.
The former Destiny's Child singer will kick off her engagement at the Cambridge Theatre in July.
While this will mark Williams debut on the London theater stage, the Rockford, Ill.-bred singer starred on Broadway in the Elton John and Tim Rice-produced musical 'Aida.'
She also played Suge Avery in the touring production of the Broadway show 'The Color Purple.'
The 28-year-old singer will also utilize her time in London to promote her latest pop CD, 'Unexpected.' I'm told her record company intends to go for adds on the single 'Hello Heartbreak' at radio in the coming weeks.
Having earned success with her two gospel solo CD's, 2002's 'Heart To Yours' and 2004's 'Do You Know,' many people mistakenly though that Williams' third solo effort 'Unexpected' was a continuation in that genre.

When BV Buzz spoke to the singer about her CD last fall, she spoke about that.
"There are still a lot of people who don't even know that this album is not a gospel record even though I'm on a half naked boy in my video," she said at the time. "Maybe I am required to work harder than others and that's okay because God doesn't put any more on me than I can bear. Maybe I do have to just push through and get people to accept my music. It's gonna be hard because I started out doing gospel and people aren't used to that."

Accompanied by sons Prince Michael I, 12, and Prince Michael II (known as Blanket), 7, and daughter Paris, 11, Jackson hit the Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier stores, where he scooped up Paco Chicano T-shirts and gear from Crystal Rock, along with Ed Hardy leather jackets and kids' clothing.

"They walked out with over 20 bags and a mannequin," says a source.

Although the boutiques were closed so that Jackson could shop in peace, the singer, 50, encouraged some of the fans who lined the storefront to come inside and take pictures with him.

"Michael was extremely friendly and in great spirits," says a source. "He was loving with his kids and in a great mood. The kids were very polite and well-spoken."

America's Best Dance Crew is coming back to MTV for a fourth season, Didntinviteme confirms.

Casting calls will begin on June 6 in Los Angeles before heading to Chicago, Orlando and New York City, where producers hope to find the nine crews ready to take the title away from current champs Quest Crew.

"I am excited about season four and looking forward to seeing all of the amazingly hot talent out there," executive producer Randy Jackson tells Didntinviteme. "Every season just keeps getting better."

In March, L.A.-based Quest Crew beat out the all-female Beat Freaks to win the title of America's Best Dance Crew. Quest's leader Hok, 24, who also achieved fame on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, told Didntinviteme his win felt like "seeing a dream."

Season three also had the first clogging crew on the show. That, judge Lil' Mama told Didntinviteme, should encourage everyone to try out. "They have definitely set a bar for our new season," she says. "But basically, for cloggers to come out for the first time, it's gonna inspire other cloggers and tap dancers to want to come out and actually take it up a notch."

Style icon Mischa Barton might be known for seamlessly shifting from retro-cool street style and red carpet elegance, but regardless of where she’s headed, Mischa tells PEOPLE.com, “Accessorizing is oddly my favorite part of dressing up.” It comes as no surprise then that the actress has been having fun developing her headband collection with designer Stacey Lapidus. Mischa says that she found inspiration for the hair accessories, which range from $50 to $200, in her jet set lifestyle. “I’ve been working in the likes of India, Milan, Paris, London, Montreal, L.A, and NYC,” she explains. “My style has been somewhat boho chic, which I think is a result of having traveled so extensively throughout the course of the past year.” And she’s about to get even busier! In addition to her headband line and a collection of handbags, Barton is waiting to hear whether her pilot for the CW, A Beautiful Life, will get picked up for a series this fall. “It was a blast to film and though I’ve only seen bits and pieces [of it], I’m proud of the show and hopeful that I’ll get to shoot some more,” she says. “Since I have an obvious passion for fashion, it was also incredible for me to be offered a role that’s immersed in the industry.” Check out Mischa’s collection, available now at staceylapidus.com.

After almost six years of marriage, Kelis has filed for divorce from Nas, it was officially announced today.

“I can confirm that she has filed for divorce,” Kelis’ publicist told VIBE. “We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.”

At around 3:45 p.m. PST on Thursday, Kelis’ attorney Laura Wasser filed final divorce papers on behalf of her client, citing verbal abuse and infidelity.

The high-profile hip-hop couple announced in February that they were expecting their first child. Kelis is currently seven months pregnant and the baby, a boy, is due this summer. “I wanted to let ya’ll know from me personally that I’m having my first SON!!!!!” Nas blogged earlier this year.

Nas, 35, and Kelis, 29, first met at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2002. After dating for two years, the pair married in Atlanta on July 28, 2003. They collaborated on several tracks including “Blindfold Me” off 2006’s Kelis Was Here and “Not Going Back” from Nas’ album Hip Hop Is Dead.

When asked how she overcomes high divorce rates among young couples, Kelis told Rap-Up in 2006, “I really don’t. Whatever happens, happens. It’s life.”

But she also reflected on happier times. “I love my husband, we have a great life. I knew before I met him that I was gonna marry him, I knew when I met him, I knew when I married him, and I know today,” she revealed to Rap-Up. “He helps because he’s my best friend more than anything. He’s like someone who I trust with everything equally.”
