Beyoncé - "Schoolin' Life"

Keri's girl power anthem, "Pretty Girl Rock" has officially been certified Gold, selling over 500,000 downloads. The track also sits at #1 on Urban Radio after being officially released to radio almost four months ago.
This is a great achievement. 'Rock' has proved that it is a true hit and it's success comes at the tail end of a huge promotional push. Keri definitely made sure that she put in the time to rack up those interviews and performances. The track has grown hugely on me over time and it's fair to say that I love it now.
"No Boys Allowed" does have a few more potential hit singles on it. It will be interesting to see which song Keri chooses as the next official single and also how much more time she donates to this album.

"Madonna wants to break records and make her career bigger than ever," a source told the publication. "And because the Gleeepisode featuring her music was such a hit, there are plans for the cast to appear. She is in amazing shape for her age but this could be her last big world tour she does for a while as she wants to concentrate on business ventures." Madonna's tribute episode on Glee was aired on FOX on April 20, 2010. It features cover versions of eight of her songs from rendition of "Vogue" and "Like a Virgin" to a mash up of "Borderline" and "Open Your Heart". In the United States, this episode was watched by 12.98 million viewers, and generally received rave reviews from critics.
Madonna herself last hit the road with her Sticky & Sweet tour. The worldwide concert was kicked off in August 2008 and came to a close around September 2009. Grossing a total of $408 million, it has been called the second highest grossing tour of all time as well as the highest grossing tour by a solo artist.

Chris Brown’s “Beautiful People” Single Cover Art Is A Real Gas
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 3:23 PMThis is the most straight-up house/electro song we’ve ever heard from Brown. More than likely a smart move rather than attempting to rap again. We like the song, though we don’t see anything inherently “Chris Brown” about this track — it really could have been recorded by anybody with similar results.
What do you think of the perplexing single cover and the poppin’ synth-heavy number?

Verbal Threats May Have Led to Halle Berry's Custody Battle with Gabriel Aubry
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 3:19 PM
Gabriel Aubry (Getty Images)Halle Berry launched her custody battle against ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry after he was “verbally threatening” to her, his former business partner has claimed. The Oscar-winning actress -- who split from the 35-year-old model last April after almost five years together -- is seeking full custody of their two-year-old daughter Nahla and Gabriel’s former friend and business partner Stephane Bibeau has claimed he upset Halle with his behavior after their break-up.
Stephane told People: "Once they broke up he became verbally threatening to Halle. He is a vindictive guy."
However, friends of Gabriel -- who filed court papers last month seeking formal recognition as Nahla’s father and joint custody of the tot -- say their unequal relationship was one of the main causes of their split and Gabriel simply wants what’s best for his daughter.
A pal said: "From the beginning, Halle kind of had the upper hand because she was essentially supporting all of them for the most part. Gabriel never liked how that felt. Their split was tough because they're both so involved in raising Nahla, and neither ever wanted to give that up."
Although Gabriel rubbished Halle’s allegations that she was worried for Nahla’s wellbeing while in her father’s care, sources close to the actress say she is determined he won’t be allowed access to their child without proper supervision.
The source said: "The only reason Gabriel is seeing Nahla right now is because the court hasn't made a decision yet. If it were up to Halle, he wouldn't be seeing her at all without some sort of supervision."

The afro-sporting singer was all smiles as she took the Manhattan stage, singing reinterpreted versions of her classic tunes and looking fashionable in a black cloak draped over a zebra-striped blouse and accented by chunky jewelry.

Naomi Campbell (Getty Images)Naomi Campbell has admitted she experimented with cocaine when she was in her 20s and had made it in the fashion industry, but she says the drug had a negative impact on her life.Discussing her problems with substance abuse, she said in an interview with the UK edition of GQ magazine: “It rips you world apart. I never thought I was an alcoholic but it goes hand in hand with the drugs. Emotionally I was just gone. I was emotionally unattached to myself.
“You just want to numb your pain. And I’ve got tons of stuff. Same as everybody else. I didn’t like the way I was. Drink and drugs are an allergy for me, and they don’t make me a better person.”
Naomi's mother Valerie raised her as a single parent from the age of 18 after her father walked out on them both when the catwalk legend was just two months old. She says she took cocaine when she was out partying and didn’t initially realize the damage it could cause.
She explained: “I was a party girl. I started quite late, 24. I was having fun. It wasn’t that I couldn’t get out of bed in the morning without it. It wasn’t a coping mechanism. It was a party thing and I didn’t realize how powerful it was, in a very wrong way. The fun comes with consequences, you are killing yourself … I was an active addict. But I could still function.”
The 40-year-old model was proud of herself when she stopped using cocaine and insists there is no shame in seeking help.
She said: “Recovery is a positive thing. There’s nothing to be ashamed of. When you know you need help, and seek help, you need that time to deal with it. Get used to that new discipline. Tell when you are ready to tell. There’s no shame. There are people who get out of that prison, like Eric Clapton. I wanted to know what it was -- that peace, that serenity. A lot of my friends didn’t want to hang out with me when I came back. That hurt.”

RiRi and Drizzy, who have four nominations apiece, will most likely perform a rendition of their collaboration “What’s My Name?,” which peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. It will mark their first live performance together.
Four-time nominee Cee Lo has a few tricks up his sleeve for his performance as well. Not only will he duet with Oscar-winning actress Paltrow, but the duo will also be accompanied by the Jim Henson Company Puppets. While unconfirmed, the motley crew could deliver a must-see moment by performing the Grammy-nominated smash “F**k You.”
Nicki Minaj will join Drake in repping for Young Money, as she makes her first appearance as a presenter, nominated with Ludacris for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. LL Cool J, Dierks Bentley, Norah Jones, Selena Gomez, and Blake Shelton round out the list of newly-announced presenters.
Previous performers for music’s biggest night include Eminem, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Justin Bieber with Usher and Jaden Smith, and the combination of B.o.B, Bruno Mars, and Janelle Monáe. The show will be broadcast live on CBS from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on February 13 at 8 p.m. EST.
Ah, the age-old—or at least music-video-age-old—concept of a pop star lashing out at his or her critics while drawing a metaphor for sadomasochism. We won’t tell Rihanna that Madonna already made this video back in 1995, and that it’s called “Human Nature,” if you won’t. (Though, we admit, Madge’s now-classic vid, directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, was far less colorful.)
That said, Rihanna looks like she’s having a grand old time here, strutting around in her giant red wig, wearing latex while chomping on pink popcorn and brandishing sex toys to punish her press captors with once she turns the tables on them.

"Beyoncé is the most talented human being on the planet," Paltrow, 38, tells Harper's Bazaar U.K. in its March issue, on newsstands Thursday. "She has so much mastery over what she does. It's not even confidence – it's on a whole other level. It's mind-blowing."
Beyoncé, 29, was trying to be helpful, but Paltrow at times found her example intimidating. "I watched her [perform] a lot to see how she did it, and I was like 'S---! I can't do that!' " Paltrow says.
The actress ended up becoming a very believable country singer for the film role. But she was still terrified when called on to perform live at the CMA Awards in November.
"Two weeks before I did it, I was dying," she says. "I couldn't sleep. I couldn't eat. I was like, 'Why would I say yes to this? What is wrong with me? What kind of maniac would agree to do this?' "

Niecy Nash knew fiancé Jay Tucker was the man for her during her run on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, but it will take a little TLC for her to pull off her dream wedding – literally.
"I am telling you, I was so excited to find the man, I didn't even think about planning," newly engaged Nash says.
Nash, 40, is going to get a little help with that planning: She announced Monday that the TLC network will air a two-hour special documenting her late-May wedding to Tucker, an electrical engineer, as well as the steps leading up to their wedding day, including finding a dress and the perfect venue.
"I am a woman who does not have the bride gene," says Nash. "No bridezilla here! I haven't been planning a wedding since I was three. I have to go to the experts to say, 'What am I supposed to do here?' And me and my mother watch Say Yes to the Dress religiously. So I'm really looking forward to it."
The comedienne and actress also wanted to give something back to fans. "I said to Jay, 'I would like to share this experience with them,' " says Nash. "I want them to know at the end of the day [that] love is possible a second – sometimes even a third – time around. You can get another chance."
Happy to Have a Do-Over
Nash's first marriage lasted 16 years, ending in 2007. Thinking back to that ceremony, Nash says, "it was such a fiasco. I hadn't been to a wedding before, so when I went to get my dress, I had nothing to compare it to. I didn't know I bought a dress that's a quinceaçera gown."
At the reception, "my decorations were metal folding chairs and signs that were painted in marker and done in calligraphy," she says. "A Styrofoam heart in the middle of the table? It was just a mess. So I am happy to get a do-over and ask for help."
Joining her will be a wedding party featuring bridesmaids Sherri Shepherd from The View, The Game's Wendy Raquel Robinson, and actress Sheryl Lee Ralph as the matron of honor.
"What I do know," Nash says, alluding to the royal wedding happening a month before her own, "is that when Kate [Middleton] and her guy get married, they're going to have so much help to pull it off. Here's what I think we'll have in common: We're both beautiful brides. I think the grooms will be awfully gorgeous. I think our families will be pleased. And that's where it stops."

Kim Kardashian (Getty)Kim Kardashian only has a few acting credits to her name (Disaster Movie, anyone?), but she's seen a lot of red carpet action this awards show season. Maybe that's because Kim hopes to take Hollywood by storm sometime soon—preferably as the next Bond Girl.Kardashian told E!'s Marc Malkin, "I would love to be in a Bond film—a Bond Girl! That would be the ultimate."
Kardashian, who worked her signature over-the-shoulder pose in a heavily embellished Marchesa gown at Sunday evening's Screen Actors Guild Awards, said she's pondering a few different offers at the moment. "There are a few offers on the table, but I definitely want to make the right decision for the right part."

As part of their divorce settlement, The-Dream previously agreed to pay Milian a significant amount, including 10 percent of his publishing stake in the Biebs’ 2010 hit single “Baby,” which he co-wrote with her.
According to TMZ, the “Love King” is not happy because Milian is demanding more money, including a larger percentage of the song’s earnings.
Since her attempt to renegotiate, The-Dream is trying to stop any payments to his ex, which Milian is fighting.
The former Mrs. Nash is making a concerted effort to leave the past behind, including the dress she wore during her wedding to The-Dream in Rome. “I’m cleaning house and need to get rid of my wedding dress I wore in Rome. What do you guys think I should do with it?ebay? Know of options?” she asked her Twitter followers before deciding to donate the gown.

The couple, who are having twins, are expecting a boy and a girl, a source confirms to DIDNTINVITEME.
So far the parents-to-be have been cautious about revealing too many details about the babies since the couple had a "long journey" to parenthood, Cannon said in December.
Cannon, 30, and Carey, 41, are preparing for the arrival of the twins' by "decorating and designing" the babies' nurseries – one in Los Angeles and one in New York, Cannon tells our friends @PEOPLE.

It's not yet known what song they'll perform, but what's clear is the bond that Paltrow and Cee Lo formed when recording a new version of his Grammy-nominated hit "F--- You."
Cee Lo says Paltrow expressed "really feeling and appreciating what I had done artistically. That was awesome to come from her and feel her energy."
Paltrow first performed a toned down version of the song on Glee.

Kelsey Grammer (Photo Agency)Kelsey Grammer plans to tie the knot with his fiancee, English beauty Kayte Walsh, on February 25, followed by a reception at New York’s Plaza Hotel. The only catch: He's still hammering out details of his divorce from Camille Grammer and is hopeful it can be sorted out at the next court hearing on February 7.A source said told the New York Post newspaper: "Kelsey and Kayte have booked the Plaza ballroom for the reception. Despite the lavish surroundings, they want an intimate wedding with less than 150 guests. Kayte has laid out all the details, all the timings. The room will be decorated all in white, including a white cake. There will be a very tight guest list, and they won't allow cameras in. They're flying a lot of Kayte's family members in from England and putting them all up at The Plaza.”
In December, Camille reportedly rejected a $30 million divorce settlement as it didn't include alimony or child support for their two children, daughter Mason, nine, and six-year-old son Jude.
Kelsey, 55, started dating 29-year-old Kayte just a few months after splitting from third wife Camille last July after 13 years of marriage.

Gabriel Aubry Speaks Out on Custody Battle with Halle Berry
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 1:35 AM
Gabriel Aubry and Halle Berry in happier times. (Getty)His statement, delivered by his Wilhelmina Models rep, read (via Us magazine): "While Gabriel is disappointed in Halle's decision to falsely malign him publicly and for her own purposes, he refuses to be pulled into her dispute over a canceled film production. Gabriel also refuses to air their issues in the press as he believes this may ultimately harm their daughter. The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla."The statement continued: "Gabriel fully believes that a consistent and balanced living situation and two loving parents are crucial for their child even if Ms. Berry feels otherwise," his rep continued. "He will always defend his rights as a father and will always consider Nahla's best interest. Halle's continuing allegations in the press are untrue and irresponsible."
Halle's statements regarding the custody battle accuse Aubry of being unable to properly care for their daughter. A previous statement from her camp said she "attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter's father...but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention."

This marks Breezy’s first time appearing on the show, though cast members have had open arms ever since his domestic violence incident in 2009. “It’s not up to me, but I’m sure we would [book him] if he had another hit single. We don’t care about scandal. We just care about what brings us ratings!” said cast member Kenan Thompson at the time.
The 21-year-old star also strikes big this week on Billboard’s Urban Mainstream Chart, holding it down at No. 1 for the second consecutive week with “No BS.” Over on the Mainstream Top 40 and Rhythmic radio airplay charts, “Yeah 3X” is floating in the top 5.
Capitalizing on the success of his singles, Chris is gearing up for the release of his fourth album F.A.M.E., dropping March 22.
