When it comes to marriage, Shaquille O'Neal has thrown a brick.
Wife Va'shaundya has filed for legal separation in Los Angeles from the 37-year-old basketball star, court papers show.
In papers filed Monday, Va'shaundya O'Neal cites irreconcilable differences for the break in their seven-year marriage, and is seeking sole custody of their four minor children, ages 3 to 9, with visitation for O'Neal.
She's also asking for an unspecified amount of money for child support. She said she will eventually seek a divorce.
It's the second split for the pair. Shaq filed for divorce in 2007 in Miami-Dade County in Florida, but the two later reconciled, after a bitter dispute over whether or not he was hiding money from her.
There is a prenuptial agreement in place.
Further complicating matters is his wife's claims of residency in California, which has a more generous community-property divorce law than Florida. She reportedly flew out to L.A. recently, and claimed herself a resident of California on Nov. 8, a day before the separation papers were filed.
A lawyer for Va'shaundya and a rep for O'Neal weren't immediately available for comment.

JAMIE FOXX CASTS TRICKY STEWART & THE-DREAM FOR NEW ALBUM

Jamie Foxx is gearing up for his fourth album and just like his movies, he’s assembled an all-star cast to craft his musical blockbuster.
Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, who produced “Just Like Me” and “Digital Girl” for 2008’s Intuition, reunite with Foxx for the project. “He’s one of our favorite artists to work with. When I think of Jamie, I’m always gonna think to pound the urban community,” Tricky tells Rap-Up.com. “He has a really solid fan base in the urban community and I feel like his pop appeal comes through his personality, so we’ll make sure that we keep the music really urban.”
Rico Love also played a role on the album. “I did a record for him called ‘Straight to the Dance Floor,’” reveals the songwriter behind Beyoncé’s “Sweet Dreams.” “That’s a big record that Carlos McKinney produced.”
The Oscar winner recorded while touring and pushing his latest film Law Abiding Citizen. “I respect Jamie because he was recording while on tour,” Love adds. “He had a studio on the bus and was promoting a movie at the same time.”

Expect nothing less than outrageousness in the video for Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance,” the first single from her new album The Fame Monster, due November 23. The pop superstar goes against the grain once again with the monstrous clip, directed by Francis Lawrence, featuring countless wardrobe changes and scenes you could only imagine in your wildest dreams. This is bad, real bad, Michael Jackson.

Rihanna fought back tears while being honored as one of Glamour’s 2009 Women of the Year at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Monday (Nov. 9). Other honorees included Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou, Serena Williams, Maria Shriver, and Amy Poehler.
“I am shaking right now. I am so nervous, but overwhelmed and honored by this honor to be Glamour’s Woman of the Year,” an emotional Rihanna said as she was presented with her award from supermodel Iman. “I really look up to my gran-gran and my mom. They are my two women of the year. I love you very much, granny. I love you very much, mom.”

MTV’s Alexa Chung scoops Rihanna for her first non-Chris Brown interview. RiRi, wearing a red-and-black striped hooded dress, discussed her “20/20” interview, Rihanna Day in Barbados, working with Ne-Yo, and her favorite downtime activity. Plus, she takes a fashionable catwalk down memory lane.

Beyoncé and BFF Gwyneth Paltrow pose with Roc Nation’s Ty Ty and Rita Ora backstage at Jay-Z’s show in London earlier this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Carter have a close relationship with Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Their 3-year-old son Moses, who calls Jay-Z Uncle Jay, even listens to his music. “We put on the ‘99 Problems’ video ’cause he’s obsessed, which is actually quite not appropriate,” she told Conan O’Brien in June. “He loves it and he sits there like this [arms crossed, nods head]. It’s the funniest thing.”

Australian Officials Target Britney Spears's Lip-Synching
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 7:02 PM
Britney Spears just arrived in Australia on Thursday, but already she's the subject of government scrutiny – over whether concertgoers realize she'll be lip-synching portions of her concerts.
Virginia Judge, the Minister for Fair Trading for New South Wales (the Australian state that includes Sydney), said she is considering options to make sure fans aren't misled when buying tickets to Britney's Circus tour concerts. Some seats are going for more than $1,300.
"It is Britney's 'prerogative' to lip-sync, and it is my job to make sure consumers know what they are paying for up front," Judge said in a statement released by the government.
One idea is to require disclaimers on promotional materials and tickets indicating that portions of a show will be pre-recorded.
It's no secret that many artists, including Spears, lip-sync at times during their elaborate stage shows. And this Australian initiative may not have much effect on interest in Spears tickets, given that many of the shows Down Under are already sold out.
"Personally I would rather see a live set from a local artist," Judge said, "but I am sure Britney's fans will be treated to a spectacular show."

Usher is officially a single man.
The Superior Court in Fulton County, Georgia, issued a final decree Wednesday in the R&B singer's divorce case, legally ending his two-year marriage to Tameka Foster Raymond, the Associated Press reports.
Usher, 31, filed for divorce in June, claiming the marriage was "irretrievably broken" with "no reasonable hope of reconciliation." The couple have two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.

After his split with Young Money in August, Omarion hit another “Rock” when he was replaced by Lloyd on the rap crew’s new single.
The former B2K member originally sang the hook on “Girl You Know,” later retitled “Bed Rock,” for December 15th’s Young Money compilation We Are Young Money. When asked what he thought of his replacement, “You” singer Lloyd, Omarion said, “That’s interesting. I heard it. It didn’t bother me.”
O was first contacted about remaining on the song or having someone else sing his hook. “I was contacted and they told me they wanted to potentially use my version of the song or have someone else sing it because I wrote the hook.”
In the end, his vocals and lyrics were swapped for Lloyd’s. “Lloyd did another hook. That’s what’s so interesting to me too,” he shared. “Technically people didn’t have to know that [I wrote the hook if Lloyd would've sang my version]. I didn’t go and tell nobody before the song came out.”
But Omarion still thinks he outshined his R&B counterpart. “Truthfully, I thought mine was better.”

In the second part of Diane Sawyer’s sit-down with Rihanna on “Good Morning America,” she describes what occurred the night Chris Brown assaulted her, confirming that their fight erupted over a text message he received from a girl.
“I caught him in a lie, and he wouldn’t tell the truth,” she said. “I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me. And he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it because obviously his back was up against the wall.”
Her former boyfriend continued to attack her until she was battered and bloody. “That’s all I kept thinking the whole time. When is it going to stop? He had no soul in his eyes, just blank,” she continued. “He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him.”
The full interview airs tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC’s “20/20.”

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush Are House-Hunting Together
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 1:29 PM
The Kardashian family sure move fast: One sister is expecting her first child, another recently got married – and now Kim Kardashian is looking for a house with on-again boyfriend Reggie Bush.
"After they got back together they were both looking for new places and decided to take the next step in their relationship," a source tells DIDNTINVITEME.
Kardashian, 29, and Bush, broke up for a while, but reconciled in September.
Shortly after they reconnected, Kardashian told DIDNTINVITEME she was selling her condo. "I love my condo, it's beautiful. However, I feel that it's time to move into a home," she said. "I will miss it, for sure."
At the time, Kardashian didn't say if part of her motivation to move might be so she could find a place that might also accommodate both her and Bush.
As for why they decided to get back together, Kardashian said last month: "We just made the decision that we want to make it work, and the time off was really beneficial for the both of us. I think sometimes people need to take a break just to take time off to see how much they need each other and how much they really are compatible."
TMZ.com first reported that the couple are looking for a house together.

YouTube sensation turned singer Justin Beiber made his first appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday for an interview (where he talks about getting signed, his fans, and asking Rihanna out on a date) and performance of his single, "One Time." The 15-year-old seems to have already built a strong fan base and his performance wasn't bad at all. Justin can really sing and moves fairly well. He reminds me of a young Jesse McCartney. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the music biz, his album "My World," will be released November 17th.
