Speaking out for the first time since Michael Jackson's sudden death on June 25, the singer's sister LaToya Jackson, 53, is raising alarming allegations.
"Michael was murdered," LaToya claims in an exclusive interview with London newspaper the News of the World.
“We don't think just one person was involved in the murder," she added, refusing to name the people she believes are responsible for the death during her four-hour interview in L.A. “It was a conspiracy to get Michael's money."
According to LaToya, Jackson himself always feared for his life. "A couple of years ago Michael told me he was worried that people were out to get him,” she told the paper. "He said, 'They're gonna kill me for my publishing. They want my catalogues and they're gonna kill me for these.' "
In the months leading up to his London performances, Jackson told his sister that he was on a six-month detox to prepare for his comeback, but LaToya says she had other suspicions.
"Michael was being inappropriately treated by people who got him hooked on drugs,” she told the News of the World. "He had many needle marks on his neck and on his arms, and more about those will emerge in the next few weeks. But nothing has changed my mind that this was murder.”
And despite the family’s best efforts to reach out to Jackson recently, LaToya claims that those plotting against Jackson “tried to keep the family away at all times.”
LaToya is not the only family member who believes there was a conspiracy to take Jackson’s life. The family patriarch, Joe Jackson, echoed his daughter’s sentiments, telling ABC News on Friday, “I do believe it was foul play. I do believe that."
But while the tragedy has left the Jackson clan broken-hearted, "this has united the family," LaToya told the News. "We're all in pain and suffering the loss of Michael ... but we're also determined to get to the bottom of what happened to him."

Michael Jordan hasn't played a quarter of NBA basketball in more than six years, he stays getting props. Jordan will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September, so Gatorade is celebrating the ceremony a bit early with new flavors and limited edition bottles. The three new flavors are "Then – Championship Blue" (Berry Cherry Blend), "Now – Championship Gold" (Citrus Orange Blend), and "Forever – Championship Red" (Berry Blend) each put in six different bottles which tell the story of Jordan's legacy.
"From its role fueling Michael Jordan on the court to the unforgettable 'Be Like Mike' ad campaign, Gatorade was as much a part of Michael's game as his explosive leaps or his trademark fade-away," said Sarah Robb O'Hagan, chief marketing officer for Gatorade. "Michael's Hall of Fame induction is the latest 'G' moment in a career filled with them, and fans will certainly want to have a piece of history by collecting all six of these commemorative bottles."
The new flavors and limited edition bottles are available now and will be available until those produced are gone – but Gatorade aren't saying how many they made. In the meantime, check out the images of the bottle after the jump.

R&B singer Brandy Norwood is in search of a new record deal.
Didntinviteme has learned exclusively that the 30-year-old singer was just dropped by her label Epic Records because of the lackluster sales of from her comeback CD, 'Human.'
Released on Dec. 8, 2008, the CD has only sold 196,509 units to date according to SoundScan.
"Her friend Brandon Creed that works as an A&R representative at Epic Records has been making calls to see if other labels would be interested in signing her," a record company source told me.
In addition, Brandy has also parted ways with her management.
The former 'Moesha' star had been represented in recent months by Jay-Z's Roc Nation Management.
The McComb, Miss.-bred singer's relationship with Roc Nation supposedly dissolved because of "creative differences."
A rep for Roc Nation did confirm the split to Didntinviteme.
"Roc Nation no longer reps Brandy," the publicist Jana Fleishman said in an e-mail yesterday.
A source tells me that Brandy's business relationship with Roc Nation "is what kept Epic Records from dropping her months ago." Since the singer is no longer repped by the firm, the label "didn't see the benefit in giving her another album."
"She was signed to Epic when Charlie Walk was president of the label. Now that Amanda Ghost is president, she is the one who decided to let Brandy go," the source explained.
Coincidentally, Roc Nation had also represented Ghost, who in addition to being president of Epic Records is a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has written for Beyoncé, Jordin Sparks and Shakira.
Brandy's last CD 'Human' was her first release in more than four years and her debut album for Epic Records.
Prior to signing with Epic, the singer had recorded exclusively for Atlantic Records, where she released four CDs before parting ways with that label in 2005.
A rep for Brandy denied that the singer has been dropped from the label.
"They have not dropped her. We are trying to get a release from them. We're in waiting," her rep told me, before adding: "And Brandy and Roc Nation parted amicably."
Didntinviteme call to Ghost's office was forwarded to Elisa Goldman in the publicity department. That call has gone unreturned.
A message was left for Creed as well, though he has yet to respond.

It is the thirteenth time the museum has portrayed Jackson, making him the most featured star ever, with only Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II having been portrayed more often.

Mariah Apologises For Poor Performance At Jackson Memorial

Just recovering from the day. Still filled w/sadness as we listen to KJLH in LA(Stevie Wonder's radio station)paying tribute to MJ.
Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me.
One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people. He inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts.

The man who is largely credited with being the brains behind Michael Jackson's adult solo success has no plans to pay "The King of Pop" respect at his funeral.
"No, not at all, not at all," Quincy Jones replied when asked whether he was attending the memorial. His reason: "Because it's going to be, like, 9 million people there, and it's not what I want to see."The 27-time Grammy Award-winning music producer, who tapped Jackson to star in the glitzy film adaption of the Broadway's musical 'The Wiz' in 1977, crafted his seminal 'Off the Wall' album and followed it up with the historical 'Thriller' set.
"It's surrealistic," Jones, 76, told Details magazine's Web site. "I don't know how to process it at all."
In the past, the 'Soul Bossa Nova' creator swore off funerals because too many of his close friends have passed on. But when it comes to Jackson's memorial, Jones is steering clear.
"My condolences and love I've already sent to the family," he added. "But being there with 10 million people is not my idea of a tribute to somebody you were so close to -- who's got a part of your soul. Our souls were joined, you know. And a piece of it goes with him."
According to published reports, a private family service will be held July 7 at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles. A motorcade will reportedly then go to the Staples Center complex in downtown Los Angeles, where the public memorial will be held.
Jackson died of an apparent cardiac arrest on June 25. He was 50.

In a candid interview with NBC’s “Today” show host Matt Lauer, Jermaine Jackson admits he would have rather had his life taken than that of his brother’s, Michael Jackson.
“He went too soon,” Jermaine reveals. “I don’t know how people are going to take this, but I wish it was me.”
The 55-year-old former Jackson 5 member detailed the events surrounding the news of the King of Pop’s death last Thursday, which included hearing a frantic call from his mother, Katherine Jackson, rushing to UCLA Medical Center, and kissing his younger brother’s lifeless body.
“I held myself together because I know [Michael's] very much alive,” Jermaine admits. “His spirit is, and [his body] was just a shell. I kissed him on his forehead and I hugged him, and I touched him and I said, ‘Michael, I’ll never leave you. You’ll never leave me.’”
On Wednesday, Ken Sunshine, the Jackson family spokesman, said a public memorial for Michael Jackson was in the works, but it wouldn’t be held at Neverland Ranch.

Madonna paid homage to the King of Pop on Saturday in the same arena where he was to stage his “This Is It” farewell tour later this month.
A picture of a young Michael Jackson was shown on screen while Madonna performed “Holiday” during the opening of the second leg of her “Sticky & Sweet” tour at London’s O2 Arena. An MJ impersonator appeared on stage, wearing a black hat, sequined jacket, white glove, and white socks.
The music then switched to Jackson’s “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” as the impersonator performed his famous moves, including the moonwalk.
After the performance, Madonna told the crowd, “Let’s give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known.” The audience then erupted in thunderous applause.

BET has issued an apology for the controversial Young Money performance at Sunday’s BET Awards.
Many who tuned into the show were appalled by the set, which capped a night filled with heartfelt tributes to the late Michael Jackson. The performance, which occurred right before Janet Jackson’s emotional appearance, featured Lil Wayne, Drake, and other members of the Young Money family performing their raunchy hit “Every Girl.” The spectacle offended some viewers, prompting an apology from the network.
“BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET Awards ’09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine). Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened,” the network said in a statement. “We value and appreciate the feedback from our viewers and have edited Young Money’s performance from all BET Awards ’09 encore presentations.”
An edited version of the 2009 BET Awards will air on Monday, July 6.
