White (PCN)Jessica White, best known for her work in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, was arrested early Saturday morning outside NYC hotspot Avenue, People has confirmed.

White, who has been romantically linked to actor Sean Penn and athlete Terrell Owens, was charged with assault after she allegedly struck a woman in the face and pulled her hair. White has been accused of causing "lacerations, swelling and substantial pain."

White's lawyer told the NYPost's Page Six, "The police report doesn't sound like Jessica, and she must have been provoked."

Michael Jackson (Bauer Griffin)Michael Jackson passed away in June 2009, but that didn't stop him from earning $275 million since his death, putting him at the top of Forbes' list of the Top Earning Dead Celebrities.

Michael’s earnings were more than the other 12 people on the list combined, including Elvis Presley and John Lennon, thanks to the “shrewd negotiations” of his estate.

Forbes said: “Jackson’s posthumous earnings have been bolstered by shrewd negotiations by his estate, including a merchandising deal and the rights to his name and likeness for the Sony film This Is It, which grossed over a quarter of a billion dollars.”

Elvis came second in the list with earnings of $60 million, while Lord of the Rings writer J. R. R Tolkien was third with $50 million.

Discussing Elvis, who died in 1977, Forbes said: “His portfolio of more than 200 licensing and merchandise deals got a nice boost from the late star’s 75th birthday celebrations. Commemorative events included Graceland exhibits, touring tribute concerts and an Elvis-themed cruise to the Bahamas.”

Other deceased stars in the list of 13 include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo author Stieg Larsson and scientist Albert Einstein.

The rap superstar appeared at campaign rallies with Obama and even sang his praises during (typically sold-out) shows.

Jay-Z hasn't been involved in the upcoming mid-term elections, but that doesn't mean he's done with politics. While speaking with the New York Post, Deputy White House Press Secretary William Burton made it sound like the Obama camp is expecting Jay-Z to help out in 2012.

Burton joked about the rapper taking over a key economic post before admitting his appeal to the Democratic party.

"In all seriousness, keep in mind he was pretty active during the 2008 election, so I don't think it'd surprise anyone that he would be involved again," Burton said. "But it's a little premature."

Currently on the promo grind for the Tyler Perry drama For Colored Girls, a glowing Janet Jackson appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” for a candid interview with Robin Roberts. The soft-spoken entertainer explained how she learned of the Broadway play For Colored Girls by visiting her bro Michael as a kid when he appeared in The Wiz, how she played such a passionate role in the film, and squashed rumors that she’s engaged.

“He’s a very private man, so I don’t talk about our relationship,” Miss Jackson said of her current beau, wealthy business man Wissam Al Mana. “I’m not engaged, I will say that.”

Diddy makes the band again with i SQUARE. The quartet, consisting of Mike J, Destiny, Briddy, and 10Beats, crashes the spotlight in the Erik White-directed video for their debut single “Hey Sexy Lady” featuring a cameo from their Bad Boy boss.

Kanye West brings his vision to life in his highly-anticipated short film Runaway. The 35-minute visuals were directed by West, written by Hype Williams, and art directed by Vanessa Beecroft. Filmed in Prague, the soundtrack features songs from the rapper’s fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, including “Devil in a New Dress,” “POWER,” “All of the Lights” with Rihanna, “Lost in the World,” and the title track “Runaway.”

Described as “a tale of loss and renewal,” the ambitious story stars Kanye as Griffin and supermodel Selita Ebanks as The Phoenix, who crashes down to Earth and falls in love with her rescuer. Nicki Minaj narrates the beginning of the film in her British accent and ‘Ye pays homage to the late Michael Jackson.

Fantasia hit the New York City pavement to shoot her new video for “I’m Doin’ Me,” the second single off her third album Back to Me. With director Benny Boom (Next Day Air) at the helm, the clip shows Tasia trying to get over her ex, rocking a cutoff jean jacket over a gray dress accented by a giant circular ruffle. Hugh Hefner broke the news via his Twitter, posting this afternoon, "Pamela Anderson is in the Mansion swimming pool, posing for the January cover in a tribute to 'La Dolce Vita.'"

The shoot is apparently a tribute to the classic 1960 Italian film, which caused a stir when bombshell Anita Ekberg stripped and cavorted in the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

As for Anderson, it's the first time she's appeared in the magazine in almost four years. Her last appearance was in 2007.

NeNe Leakes admits she's something of a perfectionist.

And now, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is opening up in the new issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands now, about the lengths to which she's gone for perfection.

"I'm very comfortable and confident in myself. I just wanted a tune up," says Leakes, 42, admitting that in April she got a nose job, smaller breast implants and a lift, as well as liposuction around her waist for contouring.

But Leakes says she didn't want a total transformation. "I still wanted to look like NeNe, the black woman that I am," she says, "but a better version."

Congrats going out to Russell Brand and Katy Perry: They just tied the knot! The comedian and pop princess got hitched in India (it's currently 8pm there) in front of about 80 guests at the tiger sanctuary where Brand proposed in December, reports Us magazine.

He said: "We just love each other and we want to get married in front of our friends and family and keep it very normal. It ain't about selling the pictures, it ain't about doing no pre-nup, it's just a normal thing."

Congratulations times two going out to Celine Dion and her husband Rene Angelil! The singer gave birth to fraternal twin boys at about 11am in Florida, reports Us magazine. No word yet on what the couple decided on for names.

"We believed in trying one more time," she said in a past interview. "If [the doctor] had told me that my body was too tired, I would have given up."

Celine announced that she was pregnant in May.

The teen idol took to Twitter to reveal a November 23 date for an unplugged version of his latest album My World 2.0, which will also include all-new material. “On November 23rd the Unplugged Acoustic album comes out! Taking it back to how we started. Spread the word,” he wrote.

Kelis continues her foray into fashion, with it today being announced that she has signed to London’s Next Models – one of the most renowned agencies in the industry.

London, United Kingdom (22nd October, 2010) – Interscope Recording Artist Kelis and Next Models have today confirmed they have exclusively signed the singer to their Special Bookings department of Next Models London.


The deal signifies a further move for Kelis into the fashion world where she is currently seen as a fashion icon, known for being ahead of the curve and being fearless with her style. Kelis is embraced and loved by some of the biggest and coolest designers around the world, signing with Next is a natural progession.

I personally love the look, which proves, despite what many believe, denim on denim can work it just depends on how well it’s executed. To say there are rules to fashion completely contradicts what one’s individual style is based on, which is creativity. What keeps fashion alive is not that everyone looks and dresses identically the same but it’s the fact that individuals step outside the norm and creatively assemble outfits together challenging every rule that may exist. Michael Jackson's life was destined to end early, according to Lisa Marie Presley – but she wishes she'd tried harder to save him.

"I know it's naive to think that I could've, but I wanted to," Presley said on The Oprah Winfrey Show Thursday, where she opened up about the death of her ex-husband. "Had I just said, 'How are you?' Can I try to make a phone call? I really… regret that I didn't."

Jackson died last year at age 50 from an overdose of the powerful sedative Propofol and had a history of prescription drug abuse.

Presley believes Jackson's "God-like" existence made it difficult for people to stand up to him about his dangerous habits.

"If he didn't want you around, if you were going to make him confront something he didn't want to confront, he could make you go away – including his own family," she said. "I think that was a train heading in a certain direction that no one could have stopped. I've had to really get my head around that in order to stop the pain."

She also recalled her last "coherent" conversation with Jackson, whom she married in 1994 and divorced soon after. "I was very distanced, and he was checking to get a read, you know?" she says of the chat in 2005. "He was trying to throw a line out to see if I would bite emotionally, and I wouldn't."

When he asked her if she loved him, "I told him I was indifferent," she says. "He didn't like that word. He cried."

He also said something chilling at the end of that call: "He felt that someone was going to try to kill him to get hold of his catalogue and his estate," she says, adding that Jackson named names but that she couldn't reveal them.

Presley, 42, lives in England with her guitarist husband Michael Lockwood. She has four children.

Meet Starshell, the first female artist signed to Mary J. Blige’s Matriarch Records. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter behind MJB’s “I Can See in Color” and “Closer” channels the 1985 sci-fi flick Weird Science in the Petro-directed music video for “SuperLuva.” In the retro clip, the up-and-comer sports a handful of looks while commanding a group of backup dancers, posing with her mentor who makes a cameo.  Is there any room in the game for Starshell?  Where does she fit with Rihanna, Beyoncé, & Gaga?  It's definitely a pop hit.
