Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are close to finalizing a custody arrangement allowing them both time to spend with their sons during Spears's tour.

Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan tells E! News that an agreement can be reached in "probably the next day." Spears already has said sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, would be joining her on the road when her two-month Circus tour kicks off on March 3 in New Orleans.

So how will visitation work on the road?

Spears will probably see her boys on "pretty much the same schedule that she has now," Kaplan tells E!. (Federline, 30, has primary custody of the boys, but Spears, 27, has nearly 50-50 access to them in visitation rights.)

"Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country," says Kaplan. "He is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful."

Kaplan adds: "I don't think the kids will be at venues. They will be available in her life when she is done with the rigors of performing."

As for whether Federline's girlfriend, Victoria Prince, a onetime professional volleyball player, will be traveling with her beau, "I don’t even know if they know yet," Kaplan tells E!, adding that Prince, 26, "is a very solid person, and they are really great together. She is very solid, responsible, and has a very positive effect."

A lawyer for Spears wasn't immediately available for comment.

Doing a film on black soldiers during WWII, in 'Miracle at St. Anna,' wasn't enough for director Spike Lee. The Hollywood Reporter states that Lee and his company, 40 Acres and a Mule, has acquired rights to Brendan Koerner's 'Now the Hell Will Start,' the true story of a black private who went native in a Southeast Asia jungle during the war. From Baywatch bombshell to sultry campaign model, Pamela Anderson is the latest star to grace cheeky ads for British designer Vivienne Westwood. The designer first met the bombshell at her runway show during London Fashion Week in September 2008, as Pamela sat front row in a barely-there gold lurex dress from Vivienne’s Gold label. When it came time to choose the face of her spring collection, Vivienne immediately thought of Pamela — and the rest is fashion history. Teaming up with legendary photographer Juergen Teller for the fourth season, the campaign was shot in and around Pamela’s trailer in Malibu. Pamela, Vivienne and Andreas Kronthaler, Vivienne’s husband and creative partner, model fashions from Westwood’s Gold, Red, Anglomania and MAN label as well as the accessories range. Photographs of the advertising campaign will be published as a coffee-table book and will start appearing in this month in magazines worldwide. Tell us: What do you think of Pamela Anderson’s Vivienne Westwood ad?

Despite being dogged in the press for the amount of absences she had during her Broadway run in 'The Color Purple,' We have has learned exclusively that season three 'American Idol' winner Fantasia will return to the Oprah Winfrey-produced musical.
Beginning this summer, Fantasia will resume her role as Celie and embark on a three month run with the show, kicking off at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on June 30.

She will also play dates with 'The Color Purple' when the show travels to Chicago and Atlanta as well.
A rep for the production would not confirm the casting news.
"I don't know anything about it, so I can not confirm this story," offered publicist Linda Stewart of It Is Done Communications.

Though news of Fantasia's return is apparently being kept under wraps – well, until now -- I'm told the producers of the show are eager to see the High Point, North Carolina native return to the production.
My source told me that the negative attention Fantasia received by the 'New York Post' in December of 2007 for missing 50 shows was unwarranted because the 24-year-old star single-handedly "made a truck load of money for that show."
(Incidentally, one-named actress LaChanze, who originated the character and won a Tony Award for playing Celie, missed more than 40 days during her year-long stint with the show.)
When it was announced that Fantasia would star in 'The Color Purple' on Broadway, the show based on Alice Walker's novel made more than $2 million in presale tickets before she even made her debut in April of 2007.

Though she originally only committed to a six month run on the Great White Way, Fantasia was asked to extend her contract because the $11 million production continued to sellout and make gobs of money during her tenure.
Fantasia left the show in January of 2008 and the show closed more than a month later after playing more than 900 shows and making $103 million.

In March of 2008, the day after performing at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party, Fantasia's doctor had discovered what she called in a recent interview a "throat tumor" on her vocal chord.

Since the condition had gone undetected for so long, Fantasia was told she may never sing again.
The physician further explained that the tumor was the reason she had been fatigued for months while doing 'The Color

Purple' and the grueling Broadway schedule had increased the severity of the polyp.
Fantasia's surgery was ultimately a success.

Michael Phelps has apologized after a controversial photo that apparently shows him inhaling from a marijuana pipe was published in a British newspaper Sunday.

"I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment," the all-time Olympic swimming champ said Sunday in a statement released by his marketing agency, Octagon.

"I'm 23 years old, and despite the successes I've had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again."

The photo published in News of the World and his admission are not likely to affect Phelps's eligibility to compete, though it remains to be seen what this could mean to his millions of dollars in endorsement deals.

The U.S. Olympic Committee also issued a statement Sunday. It said: "We are disappointed in the behavior recently exhibited by Michael Phelps.
Michael is a role model, and he is well aware of the responsibilities and accountability that come with setting a positive example for others, particularly young people.

"In this instance, regrettably, he failed to fulfill those responsibilities.
Michael has acknowledged that he made a mistake and apologized for his actions.
We are confident that, going forward, Michael will consistently set the type of example we all expect from a great Olympic champion."

When he was 19, in 2004, just before winning six gold medals and two silvers at the Athens Olympics, Phelps also swam into hot water – and pleaded guilty to a drunken driving charge. He also apologized at the time.

The sitcom, which stars Tia Mowry Hardrict, Brittany Daniel, Hosea Chanchez, Coby Bell, Wendy Raquel Robinson, and Pooch Hall is the first series acquired by newly appointed BET executive Vice President of acquisitions, Barbara Daniels.

This is one birthday Justin Timberlake won't soon forget.

Jessica Biel, 26, threw her singer beau a Super Bowl-themed surprise birthday party in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's ultra-exclusive penthouse on Sunday afternoon.

The penthouse was transformed with flat-screen televisions brought in especially for the festivities, and the party feasted on gourmet buffalo wings, pizza, mini sliders and red velvet cupcakes.

"They held hands and relaxed," says a guest. "They seemed very happy together."

It's off to the circus for Britney Spears's children.

The pop star took to her blog Monday to knock down a report that her upcoming two-month tour was in trouble because of a snag over whether she could travel with her two boys.

"Both Sean Preston and Jayden James will, in fact, be joining Britney throughout the duration of her tour," says Spears's blog.

Spears ex, Kevin Federline, 30, has primary custody of the boys, ages 3 and 2, but Spears has nearly 50-50 access to them in visitation rights.

Her Circus tour kicks off March 3 in New Orleans and ends April 28 in Chicago. Spears, 27, says she spent the weekend lounging by the pool checking out sketches of costumes.

"Britney is so excited to kick off her tour," her blog says. "She has been enjoying every moment of rehearsals and is looking forward to performing in front of a live audience again."

Spears also revealed more details about the tour, including a description of the elaborate stage patterned off a three-ring circus with multiple acts taking place at the same time.

"It's sexy, fun, explosive, and full of surprises," says designer Jamie King. "While avoiding such traditional circus elements as live animals, we've created something innovative and exciting using contortionists, dancers, lighting, fire and other special effects."

Busta Rhymes got tired of suffering from the “push back” album syndrome and decided to take it up with the man - Jimmy Iovine. Iovine chairman of Interscope records received a visit after according to Busta “I wasn't getting the things that I felt that I needed facilitated from the record company at the time.”

Some say there was a heated exchange and Busta was “let go” but Bus-a-Bus maintains that it was “mutual” and he left with rights to his album. This either means that Busta is a mean negotiator or sadly Interscope doesn’t feel any real lose of giving Busta his album to leave with. Busta seems confident saying, "I can honestly say that it feels like this is the album that is the more appropriate body of work for defining this moment in time for me as a man, for me as an artist, and also for the state of the music as far as hip-hop is concerned."

Serena Williams routed Dinara Safina 6-0, 6-3 Saturday to win the Australian Open for her 10th Grand Slam title and a return to the No. 1 ranking.

It was total domination for the second-seeded Williams, who moved fluidly on the court and looked at ease in winning back-to-back majors, including the U.S. Open title in September.
"I absolutely, clearly, love playing here," the 27-year-old Williams said. "You guys root for me so much. I don't get that everywhere. So thank you so much."

Williams becomes only the seventh woman with double-digit Grand Slam singles titles. She leads all active players and broke a tie with two greats of the game — 2009 Hall of Fame inductee Monica Seles and Maureen Connolly — who each won nine majors.

Justine Henin was the last to win back-to-back major singles titles, at the 2003 U.S. Open and 2004 Australian Open.
Williams' near-perfect performance was in sharp contrast to No. 3 Safina, who was tight from the start. Later apologizing to the crowd for her performance, Safina said Williams was just too good, leaving her feeling like a ballboy.
"It was first time for me to play not only for the Grand Slam, but also for No. 1 spot," said Safina, the 2008 French Open runner-up. "I never been through this situation, and she was already."
In the first game, Safina double-faulted three times, including on break point. Williams ran off 18 of the last 20 points in the first set to finish in 22 minutes.

It was Williams' second overwhelming victory in a final at Melbourne Park, where she kept alive her record of winning in odd-numbered years since 2003 for four titles. Coming into the 2007 tournament unseeded after being plagued by injuries the year before, she beat top-seeded Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-2.
Sharapova rebounded to win last year but was unable to defend her title while recuperating from a shoulder injury.
Williams became the fifth woman to win four or more Australian titles. By making the singles and doubles finals, she already had become the all-time leading money winner in women's sports.
For winning the Australian singles title, she earned $1.3 million and has career earnings of more than $23.5 million.
