Lollapalooza is updating its image this summer as the festival is bringing in pop superstar Lady Gaga to headline one of the festival's three days of music in Chicago. Gaga will fit the August festival date into her busy summer tour schedule a few days after she plays in Kansas City.

Hopefully the Midwest August heat won't put a damper on Gaga's notoriously over-the-top stage show. (Bauer Griffin)Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour goes back on the road July 1, but hopefully the singer has set an easier pace for herself this time around. Gaga canceled a series of dates earlier this year after succumbing to the exhaustion of a break-neck tour schedule with one of the most elaborate stage shows on the road.

Gaga will undoubtedly be a big draw to the festival, but she does stick out in a lineup that's dominated by rock music. The festival is rooted in early '90s alt-rock, and this year is no exception. Gaga's fellow headliners, Soundgarden and Green Day, would have been right at home playing Lollapalooza in 1993. The inclusion of Lady Gaga signals a sea change for the festival, which is organized by Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell. It appears Lollapalooza is following in the footsteps of Coachella and Bonnaroo by putting together a more eclectic mix of artists.

Three-day tickets for the festival, which runs August 6-8, are currently on sale for $215 on the Lollapalooza website. See the full lineup here.

Those waiting to see Alicia Keys’ colorful collaboration with Beyoncé will have to wait a little longer. The R&B songbird has put the eagerly-awaited video on the back burner while she readies a new single and video.

The Melina-directed visuals for “Put It in a Love Song,” filmed in Brazil in early February, have been delayed while Keys preps a video for “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready),” the new single from her Element of Freedom album, featuring vocals from co-writer Drake.

When asked when the Beyoncé-assisted video would debut, the Grammy winner exclusively told Rap-Up.com: “Expect it right after my ‘Un-thinkable’ video. It’s kind of nice that I have such a great video and such a great artist in the can,” she said. “They’re going to be able to see the ‘Un-thinkable’ video first and then see ‘Put It in a Love Song,’ but it probably won’t come until closer to this summer.”

The “Un-thinkable” clip will be shot in Los Angeles in mid-April with director Jake Nava (Beyoncé, Britney Spears), but don’t count on an appearance from Drake. “No, he won’t be in the video,” she added. “That’s too obvious.”

Keys couldn’t be happier for Drizzy’s success and revealed plans for more collaborations with the Young Money rapper. “He’s a great guy. I’m really happy for him,” she shared. “I’m really proud of all the things he’s been able to achieve, and we’re most likely going to do some kind of remix for the song that’ll be really good. There’ll be more of me and Drake.”

Rihanna will visit American Idol for its results show on Wednesday where she'll perform her Latin-flavored single "Te Amo" before audiences learn which Idol hopeful gets the boot. Jason Derulo will also show up to sing his hit single "In My Head" and season seven runner-up David Archuleta will song John Lennon's "Imagine."

Rihanna's appearance is sure to help the show win yet another Wednesday night ratings battle. "Te Amo" hasn't been made a single in the United States yet, but her current chart-topper, "Rude Boy," might be a little too racy for Idol's family audience.

The theme for this week's Idolcontestants is Lennon/McCarthy and each contestant will take a crack at one of the duo's hit songs as they compete on Tuesday. David Archuleta made Lennon's "Imagine" his signature song when he wowed audiences with the ballad two seasons ago.

It's no joke. Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey have announced they are separating, both posting the news via Twitter.

Carrey and McCarthy together at a charity event in October of 2009. (Getty Images)Carrey broke this news this afternoon, writing, “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay!”

McCarthy followed up very shortly after, tweeting, "I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to [Carrey's adult daughter] Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”

Reps for both of the actors have confirmed the news to various outlets. "Jim and Jenny have recently decided to end their five-year relationship," said Carrey's rep to People.

The two have been dating since 2005, and seemed to be quite happy with one another. On an appearance on Chelsea Handler's talk show in late March, McCarthy said of Carrey: "I love Jim in any form. He could have no arms and no legs and I'll love the stump of him."

After debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with her latest album Still Standing, Monica’s promo schedule has ramped up. The in-demand singer scored a booking on Monday’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” where she performed her single “Everything to Me” in a floor-length designer gown.

On her show Saturday (April 3), Wanda Sykes spoofed Erykah Badu’s “Window Seat” music video with her own hilarious version titled “Middle Seat.” The neo-soul singer addressed the controversial clip, for which she has been charged with disorderly conduct, saying her intention was not to disrespect President John F. Kennedy, whom she called one of her heroes.

“John F. Kennedy was a revolutionary,” she told the comedian. “He was not afraid to butt heads with America, and I was not afraid to show America my butt-naked truth.

Lil Wayne has been jailed, but not silenced. On a new Web site the rapper continues to communicate with his fans via letters written from the big house, and his first letter, appropriately titled "Gone 'til November," was posted Friday.

Lil Wayne arrives at court March 8, 2010. (Getty)In the letter, Wayne describes his life at Rikers Island, saying he thinks constantly of his children and finds himself working out and reading the Bible. "Jail didn’t make me find God, He’s always been there," he writes. "They can lock me up, but my spirit and my love can never be confined to prison walls."

And if you happened to write to Lil Wayne, well it turns out he's actually reading at least some of those prison letters. Wayne responded to three letters individually, and even asked one writer for book recommendations.

Wayne assured his fans:"The same way yall miss me, I miss yall, only 100 times more." Here's an excerpt from the full letter, which you can read at weezythanxyou.com.
Love. Live. Life. Proceed. Progress. That’s who I am and who I’ll always be. You see, we’re all living on borrowed time, so I’m not worried about this situation. Life happens quick. The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done…you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do. Trying to tear down the past prohibits you from building up your future. So for my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries.

Nine months after his death, Janet Jackson opens up to Oprah Winfrey in her most candid interview yet about losing her brother. She tells the talk show host where she was when Michael passed away, how her family tried to stage an intervention (“We knew that he had a problem”), whether she blames Dr. Murray for his death, and the last thing she told him. “There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about him,” said Janet.

The somber mood changed when Tyler Perry later joined her to discuss their film Why Did I Get Married Too?

It was not such a Good Friday for Erykah Badu. The neo-soul songstress was charged with disorderly conduct for her nude “Window Seat” music video.

The controversial clip was filmed guerilla style on March 13 in downtown Dallas’ Dealey Plaza, where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. It features Badu removing articles of clothing while walking down the street, eventually ending up naked. The song is the first single from her new album New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh.

Among those who witnessed the shoot was nine-year-old Kayleigh Espinosa. Her mother Ida Espinosa filed a complaint with police, resulting in the decision to cite Badu for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500. “She was exposed to a level of indecency that most children shouldn’t be exposed to,” Espinosa told Dallas’ Fox 4 News.

Sergeant Warren Mitchell explained the decision to charge the singer. “Having a fact witness that was there is what let us file the charges,” he stated. “After much discussion, we feel that these charges best fit her conduct. She disrobed in a public place without regard to individuals and small children who were close by.”

Badu took to Twitter to respond to the charge. “Charged on good friday …..return of the ankh,” she tweeted. “1 DOLLAR FOR EVERY NEW AMERYKAH PRODUCT SOLD AT GOOD RECORDS TOMORROW WILL GO TOWARD MY BAIL MONEY.THANK YOU . (kidding)but im just sayin.”

A citation will be mailed to Badu. She can either fight the charge or pay the fine.

Less is more in the video for Janet Jackson’s ballad “Nothing,” the theme from Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too?, in theaters Friday. The Tim Palen-directed clip features interspersed scenes from the comedy-drama, in which Janet reprises her role as psychologist Patricia Agnew.

Janet Jackson is once again expressing her admiration for Lady Gaga in an interview with MTV News. “I really love Gaga. She’s a sweetheart, which I was really happy, very pleased to see ’cause it’s not always the case when you meet them,” she said. “You can enjoy their work, but it’s not always so pleasant when you get to know their personality.”

But Miss Jackson is concerned for her pop peer, who has been on a vigorous touring schedule. “She truly is a sweetheart and a very hard worker. I worry about her. She works so hard and I told her, I think she needs to slow down just a little bit, take some time out for herself.”

The “All for You” singer is currently promoting her Tyler Perry film Why Did I Get Married Too?, but already has signed on to appear in Perry’s next film, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, alongside Mariah Carey.

T.I. sits down for his first interview since completing his prison sentence. The King of the South, who’s happy to be home, says he’s using his time behind bars as a learning experience, but didn’t write much while he was away (“I wasn’t really motivated to create”). He also reveals the direction of his next album, due August 24.

“Paper Trail was a lot more about thoughts and this is more about feelings,” he shared. “This is signifcantly more aggressive. It’s going hard like classic T.I.”

Nicki Minaj launches her invasion on hip-hop with the Hype Williams-directed video for “Massive Attack,” the first single from her Young Money debut. Lil Wayne’s protégée storms the desert in a pink Lamborghini, gets chased by a helicopter, and rumbles in the jungle with producer Sean Garrett. And what’s Barbie without her very own sidekick? The style chameleon rides shotgun with partner in crime Amber Rose. Run for cover.

For her ninth birthday, Kayleigh Espinosa took a trip to Dallas and instead of sightseeing, she got an eyeful of a naked Erykah Badu, who was filming her controversial video for “Window Seat.” The mother of the girl was less than pleased and plans to file a complaint with police. “I thought it was pretty gross. I don’t want to see it again ’cause I’m little,” said Kayleigh.

Meanwhile, Badu guested on Wednesday’s “Chelsea Lately,” where she told the host about how guys end up wearing crocheted pants or a man purse after they fall in love with her, the effect of gold lamé on her lovers, and how her mother thought OutKast’s “Ms. Jackson” was about her. Video below.

Wonder how Jennifer Hudson has been looking so good lately? After the birth of her son, the Oscar winner was inspired to adopt a healthier lifestyle to be a better role model. She tried several different diets before discovering Weight Watchers. As the company’s new spokeswoman, she will appear in a series of television commercials.

“Weight Watchers is the healthy, natural choice for me because it teaches me how to live a healthier lifestyle and it makes sense for my life,” explained Hudson. “With Weight Watchers, I am enjoying the weight loss because I’m doing it the right way—I feel empowered with what I’ve learned, everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied. Ricky Martin says he's feeling "stronger than ever" after coming out of the closet. (Getty Images)The 38-year-old singer, who revealed he is homosexual in an emotional message on his official website, took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support.

He wrote: “Whats going on gang?I'm doing great! Stronger than ever! I'm here relaxing @ home enjoying ur messages! I feel the love! Thanx for all! peace.”
The Puerto Rican star also wrote the message in Spanish for his international fan base.
Writing on his official website, Ricky claimed it was the birth of his twin boys Matteo and Valentino from a surrogate in August 2008 that led him to admit his sexuality.
He said: “To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change.”
The "Livin’ la Vida Loca" singer also revealed it took him many years of contemplation to announce he was a homosexual man.
He said: “This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.
“These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn't even know existed.
“I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”
