Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour goes back on the road July 1, but hopefully the singer has set an easier pace for herself this time around. Gaga canceled a series of dates earlier this year after succumbing to the exhaustion of a break-neck tour schedule with one of the most elaborate stage shows on the road.
Gaga will undoubtedly be a big draw to the festival, but she does stick out in a lineup that's dominated by rock music. The festival is rooted in early '90s alt-rock, and this year is no exception. Gaga's fellow headliners, Soundgarden and Green Day, would have been right at home playing Lollapalooza in 1993. The inclusion of Lady Gaga signals a sea change for the festival, which is organized by Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell. It appears Lollapalooza is following in the footsteps of Coachella and Bonnaroo by putting together a more eclectic mix of artists.
