Although Spanish may be her language of choice as of late, Nelly Furtado hasn’t forgotten about her English-speaking fans. The “Promiscuous” singer has reunited with Timbaland for her next English album.
While promoting her Spanish record Mi Plan, the Canadian songstress revealed that she has been back in the studio with her partner in rhyme Timbaland, recording material for the follow-up to 2006’s multi-platinum Loose.
Furtado and the super-producer knocked out several songs earlier this year. “Timbaland and I hooked up over spring break and we wrote about 10 songs together and we had a blast,” she told The Associated Press.
Even though it’s been over three years, the chemistry is still there. “The magic’s still there between us,” she said. “We love each other so much. We fight some times, but we really always come back to that special musical friendship that we have.”
Nelly Furtado’s first Spanish album Mi Plan is available now, while her fourth English album is expected next year.
