Kim Kardashian was joined by her mama Kris Jenner at last night's Emmy Awards, and the two had a blast -- but it sounds like the reality star would've preferred it if her football player beau Miles Austin had been by her side for the evening.
"The person I wanted to bring has a job and is a little busy," Kim said on the red carpet (via E! Online).
Miles, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys, had a game in Houston the night before the awards show, and has another later this week, so it seems like making a trip to LA wasn't really a possibility. Kim's said it herself: Dating an athlete isn't easy.
Still, the mother-daughter duo had got ready together then sauntered down the red carpet in true reality star style. Kris got a kick out watching all that goes into getting Kim ready. "Watching them put together the Kim show is something quite fascinating and fabulous—especially when Lorraine Schwartz dropped off those 75 million-karat diamond studs. They're like headlights," she said. (Really, they were 7 karats, but who's counting?)
During the show, Kim was in the spotlight again when she got to get up in front of the audience -- and millions of viewers at home -- and sang a bit with host Jimmy Fallon. She was excited to have the part, but also extremely nervous. "It's an honor but when they told me what I have to do I was like, 'Are you serious?'" she said. "But then I was like, 'You know what? It's the Emmys—why not?!'"
