The clip for the reggae-infused song, co-written by fellow Bajan Shontelle, contains a compelling message for women. “Very strong underlying message 4 girls like me! #listentoyomama,” explained RiRi.
The Barbados beauty flew to Jamaica last month to shoot the visuals with director Anthony Mandler (“Only Girl”), filming scenes on the beach and in Portland, a parish on the island’s northeast coast.
The video for “Man Down,” the fifth release from last year’s Loud, is set to premiere Tuesday on BET’s “106 & Park.”

Lil Mama’s Lip Gloss Pops Once Again In New Song “On & On & On”
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 2:59 PMThe 21-year-old rapper has aged a bit since her days of singing about lip gloss, but still manages to have fun, dropping in references to Kit Kat bars and an homage to the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize.”
This track has a lot of the fun flavor that made “Lip Gloss” a big hit, and suggests that Lil Mama may not end up being a one-hit wonder after all if there’s more like this on the way.

According to CNN, the “Beautiful Girls” singer, 21, and a female passenger were taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital after their watercraft crashed into a small bridge around 6 p.m. local time.

'X Factor' Drama: Nicole Scherzinger Replaces Cheryl Cole on Judging Panel
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 2:02 PMCheryl Cole (Bauer Griffin)The first rumors about the switch indicated that British pop star was axed because her accent was too thick for American audiences to understand, but apparently that's not really the case. Now we hear it was a chemistry thing.

Moments after releasing it online, Beyoncé debuted “1+1,” the opening track from her upcoming album 4, live on the “American Idol” finale. “This is my favorite song,” said B before flexing her vocal chops in a purple dress with red lights and smoke surrounding her. The performance earned her a standing ovation from the judges and crowd at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre.
Six of “American Idol’s” top female contestants took the stage during the “Idol” finale to perform a medley of Beyoncé’s greatest hits including “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” “Irreplaceable,” “Get Me Bodied,” “If I Were a Boy,” and “Deja Vu,” before being joined by B herself for “Crazy in Love.” Ain’t nothing like the real thing, baby.

Humphries rolled out the romantic red carpet for Kim -- on May 18th she arrived to her Beverly Hills home to find the basketball star kneeling on one knee in her bedroom floor with "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" written with red rose petals.
Kardashian told People about the proposal: "I didn't expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."
Humphries and Kim's mom Kris planned an intimate celebration with family that night -- decorated to the max with mini-horses covered in glitter!
Kim, who kept coy about the engagement for a week, said back on Valentine's Day: "He just has a really good heart. There has to be trust and honesty and chemistry. If you don't have any of those, it's never going to work."
Congratulations to the happy future married couple!

Amber Rose Admits to 'Rebound' with Kim Kardashian's Ex Reggie Bush
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 1:48 PMNow Amber, who covers VIBE's new "Sexy Issue," has admitted that she and Reggie were a thing. She said, "Me and Reggie dated very briefly after Kanye...We were both each other's rebound and we both knew that and were cool with that."
Amber has since found love with rapper Wiz Khalifa, but she considers herself more than superstar arm candy. In fact, she thinks she's more relatable than Reggie's ex, Kim Kardashian: "I don't have rich parents and it's a struggle. I can't just call my dad and be like, 'Dad, my money is a little messed up. Can you buy me a car or a house? It's not like that for me. I feel like more people will relate to my story than the Kardashians or the Hiltons."

“Next year, I’ll be headlining my own tour,” the “Super Bass” rapper told UsMagazine.com, “So this is my time to be a student and to learn and to absorb all of this information and then take that knowledge and create an amazing Pink Friday tour at the top of 2012.”
She may have new music to perform by then. The hip-hop Barbie previously teased about her sophomore album. “You’ll get another album within 12 months,” she told KIIS FM’s JoJo. “You’ll get the announcement for the next album in September.”
Before she heads out on her own, she will pick up some tips from Britney Spears on the pop star’s “Femme Fatale” tour starting June 17. “I’m honored to be out with Britney. She’s freakin’ paved the way for pop culture,” added Nicki. “We are in talks to hit the stage together but that is up to her. I would love to, of course. If we do something on tour, it will probably be the ['Till the World Ends'] remix. I’m sure there are so many things I’m going to learn just by watching her.”

Beyoncé “Run the World (Girls)” High Fashion Video Look By Look
1 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 8:17 PM
Beyonce Knowles’ highly-anticipated music video for “Run the World (Girls)” made its debut last night in the US, and it was the fashion-packed extravaganza we were expecting.
Here is a rundown of her looks.
She starts of wearing a red Alexander McQueen Fall 2010 dress with gold embroidered detailing which she paired with Alexander McQueen Grinling Gibbons gold heeled thigh-high boots from the same collection.
For a neck breaking dance routine Beyonce dons a black Norma Kamali fringed number with a golden harness and a black bustier. I loved the fringed Alexander Wang heels with this look.
Next we get a look at the gorgeous Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture gown I spotted from a very grainy photo in the desert.
As water bathes Beyonce she looks ready for war wearing a black Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2011 Couture black number with cut-out details and a tailcoat.
The golden girl stomps her way through the next scene wearing an ultra short Gareth Pugh Fall 2011 turtleneck dress which she teams with some pretty spectacular gold mirrored Gareth Pugh ankle boots whilst a car is in flames in the background.
Beyonce wore an Emilio Pucci Spring 2010 yellow gold embroidered dress as she kicks off an energetic routine with her crew. Sergio Rossi Gladiator boots with studs and feather details completed this look.
Next up was another Emilio Pucci gown, this time from the Fall 2011 collection. The green goddess long sleeve gown with a slash detail, thigh-high split and a sequined sleeve must have been glued to her as she’s really dancing hard during this scene.
I’m sure many of you will be running hard to this track at the gym like I will.
“Don’t be jealous ladies ;). I laughed so hard today I cried,” tweeted Gaga, who is expected to appear in a sketch with J.T. and comedian Andy Samberg.

0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 7:35 PMSay It Cover It: American Idol Judges Cover "The Hollywood Reporter"
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 7:26 PM5 Things We Learned From The Hollywood Reporter’s American Idol Cover Story
1. Kara DioGuardi was the one who recommended Steven Tyler to Randy Jackson as a possible judge. Randy then brought the idea to the attention of the Idol producers.
2. Jennifer Lopez, a huge Idol addict, was on everyone’s (including Simon Cowell) list as possible judges. She was first asked to consider the show in April of 2010.
3. Steven and Jennifer were hired without ever putting them into the same room together to judge their chemistry. Randy, Ryan, Jennifer and Steven had a big dinner the day before the official announcement was made, and, as Jackson recalls, “Some of the execs dropped by later, and they were like, ‘Wow, it’s like old pals week.’”
4. Producer Nigel Lythgoe was initially against the Judges’ Save, but admits, “Thank God we saved Casey [Abrams]. From a practical point of view, I loved it because here was a guy who really deserved to be saved. But I would prefer to go to my way, which is the judges make the decision out of the bottom two or three that America votes. Then you don’t need a save.”
5. Steven Tyler is a big fan of J-Lo’s romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. Jury’s still out on what he thought of Gigli, though.

The title has significant meaning to the singer. “We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me,” she told Billboard. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date.”
The project, described as a “mixed musical gumbo,” was recorded in the span of a year starting in spring 2009. It is preceded by the Major Lazer-sampled single “Run the World (Girls).”

Britney Spears Gets the Keenan Cahill Treatment, Loves It
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 4:12 AMThe video is his most elaborate production to date, thanks to some slick editing and a futuristic-looking background. Britney makes a brief cameo in the video, although it's obvious that she filmed her spot from a separate location (50 Cent once joined Keenan in his bedroom). Yet the video seems to have generated a mostly negative response, with many fans complaining the essence of Keenan's vids is getting lost in the hoopla. One commenter noted, "You've gone downhill now because you think you're famous...get back to your bedroom and actually lip sync please."
But Cahill has reason to be proud of himself: He's delighted Britney, who tweeted Tuesday, "So adorable! Thanks @KeenanCahill. I love it..."

Lady Gaga Is the Most Powerful Celebrity, According to 'Forbes'
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 4:08 AMThe pop superstar replaced the former daytime television queen on the magazine's annual Celebrity 100 power list, thanks to her 32 million Facebook fans, 10 million Twitter followers and $90 million in earnings. So the video for "Judas" landed her some flack—who cares, when she basically controls the entertainment world?
There was some fresh meat in the #3 slot, as Justin Bieber made his debut ahead of fellow newcomers Katy Perry (#12) and Natalie Portman (#75), presumably because he could signal his troops of preteens to destroy all competitors at a moment's notice.

0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 4:07 AMAnother Woman Emerges in Arnold Schwarzenegger Cheating Scandal
0 comments Posted by J.R. Taylor at 4:04 AMMildred Patricia Baena worked as a housekeeper for the Schwarzenegger family for 20 years before receiving a severance package and retiring in January. Both RadarOnline.com and TMZ.com broke news on Wednesday morning that evidence pointed to her being the unidentified other woman Schwarzenegger was talking about in his public statement and apology.
Not only does Baena fit the time frame, but photos of her son bear a striking resemblance to the former governor, and unnamed sources close to her have told news outlets that he has provided for the child since he was born. While the boy's birth certificate includes Baena's then-husband as his father, TMZ.com has uncovered her 2008 divorce papers, which indicate that the couple has "no minor children" despite the boy being 10 at the time.
Evidence is still coming in that points to Baena being the mother of Schwarzenegger's love child, while an earlier rumor (that the other woman was a private stewardess) has lost steam. Reporters set up shop outside Baena's home on Wednesday, but the retired housekeeper has stayed out of sight.
Obviously Schwarzenegger has yet to comment on the identity of the child or the child's mother, but earlier this week he apologized for disappointing so many people.
"I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family," he said in a written statement. "There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

The latest Twitter war kicked off when Keyshia tweeted, "N while we're addressing everything, Lil Kim and I a r not "friends" I take that term very seriously. We made wonderful music. That is it."
Cole had apparently become frustrated by Lil' Kim fans who had accused her of being disloyal to the pint-sized rapper. The two had worked together on the 2007 Missy Elliot-produced track "Let It Go," but Cole's ties to Kim didn't keep her from collaborating with Kim's known nemesis Nicki Minaj on the song "I Ain't Thru" last year.
Lil' Kim responded to Keyshia's tweet with lightning speed, firing off these tweets in quick succession:
- "U got that right. We are not friends. The same way U take friendship seriously i take loyalty serious."
- "The whole world has seen me extend my hand to u over and over again."
- Only someone who's trying to build a sincere relationship does shows 4 free & supports. u did not pay me a dime for none of that."
- "That warrants some type of loyalty and respect."
- "Friend or no friend i would have never let anybody disrespect u on my record but i can't expect everyone to be as real as i am."
- "At the end of the day karma is as real as i am and it's coming to get u. oh wait...if it hasnt got u already..."
- "My love $ loyalty to u got u a hit, ur friendship with ur friend got u a flop."
It went on, but it wasn't nearly as interesting as that time Lil' Kim got all hot and bothered over a fake tweet, especially since Ms. Cole didn't seem particularly interested in fanning the flames. She wrote, "all I'm saying is don't have everyone thinking I was disloyal as a "friends" cause we were never that and u know it. No disrespect," and, "I don't have beef with anyone. I'm done. I feel the way I feel about friendship and loyalty. I ain't never been fake. All I'm saying."
