I'm glad to have the pleasure to introduce a good friend of mine, who is now an columnist for my website, Ms. Joy Hallman. Make sure you check out her column that will be posted here every week and be sure to add some "Joy To Your Life""

Peace & Love,

Living in HollyWEIRD can sometimes take its toll on those of us who work in the wonderful world of Entertainment. How do you handle it when Auditions / Jobs that you seemingly believed you've had "in the pocket" somehow slip out of your range? What about when people that you are sure you can rely on give you the 52 fake out and you suddenly realize you are alone...

People say that we are crazy to stay in a business like this. But we know and live by the old adage, "There's NO Business like Show Business!" Most of us have a calling for this Industry. It chose us, not the other way around.

Artists / Entertainers face more rejection in one year than most human beings do in a lifetime. We are willing to give our lives to the adrenaline of "that" 8 count, to deliver "that" line perfectly, to paint "that" canvas exactly as we choose it to be. In those precious moments, we've entered into our Sacred Space. It is in those moments, we sometimes feel as connected to the world and or as close to God as one could ever feel.

So I am blogging this column, "Add some joy to your life," to let you know that you ARE worthy!!! You are special!!!! Your talent is amazing!!!! ...and more so than anything, I want you to know that you are not alone. Even in your darkest hour, you are not alone. Separation is an illusion! What is for you is for you and you only. No man can close doors that Spirit has opened for you. "You will succeed, 99 and 1/8th's Guaranteed!" - Dr. Suess.

So, go ahead, sort out your thoughts about how those situations made you feel and then release them. Forgive yourself for feeling as though you've done anything wrong and forgive those around you. I know it's not easy but other opportunities and people will come. They will show up as if by magic.

So, maybe we are a little nutty for staying in the business, but even the mighty Oak Tree was once a nut like you.
