Jay-Z to Spend New Year's Eve in Vegas with Beyonce, Coldplay and Gwyneth Paltrow

Jay-Z is part of a big New Year's Eve bash happening this year in Las Vegas for the grand opening of the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino. He and Coldplay are both earning $1 million to play a party for 2,500 invited guests at the party, according to the New York Post.

(Getty)Also in attendance will be Jay-Z's wife, Beyonce, and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin's wife Gwyneth Paltrow, and while both of those lovely ladies are known to kick around a song or two, neither is schedule to perform. The opening of the Cosmopolitan is big news in Vegas. Its backers went bust in the financial crisis of 2008, and Deutsche Bank spent a whopping $3.9 billion to finish it after acquiring it in a fire sale.

This won't be the first time Jay-Z has share a stage with Chris Martin. Chris made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z's recent star-studded New York gigs. As usual Vegas is packed with celebrity party hosts, including Rihanna who will be pulling in $250,000 for hosting the part at Caesar's.
