You have to imagine that being Halle Berry has a few fringe benefits. The actress, her Canadian model boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, and their baby girl enjoyed one of those benefits when they were led to the front of an hour-long security line at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport Monday.

The people left waiting in line were not impressed, and authorities are calling it a breach of protocol after one blogger who witnessed the incident complained.

"The husband of Ms. Berry asked if they could go faster through the line because they were late and they had the baby," Inspector Jimmy Cacchione told CBC News. "The officer took the personal initiative to allow them to go through the line faster, but that's not something the Montreal police supports."

Halle and the fam were caught skipping by French-language Montréal blogger Marieve Paradis, who said on her blog Friday that she saw them led to the front of the security line while other passengers had to wait more than an hour. Fearing a lashing from Berry fans, Paradis explained the situation on her blog.

"I have absolutely nothing against Halle Berry, or movie stars," she wrote. "They are probably nice people living in a world that's different from mine! I just find that an escort by the Montreal police strikes me as a bit exaggerated. Couldn't she have been escorted by an agent from Air Canada or the airport?

"We would not have been late if we were Halle Berry," she added.
