Britney Spears' new single, "Hold It Against Me," shattered records on it's opening day on radio. In less than a week, it has registered 36.4 million listener impressions, tying Madonna's "Frozen" for the second highest launch in history. Ahead of her sits Mariah Carey, whose 1993 single, "Dream Lover," began at a higher rank.

"Over the last decade, Britney Spears has had her ups and downs. But, every time she drops new music, it is an event for the format," California's KHOP program director MoJoe Roberts says. "We often tend to wait for audience research to come back strong to power up certain hits. This, however, is one of those rare tracks, like Katy Perry's 'California Gurls' or P!nk's 'Raise Your Glass,' that I put right into power rotation after one listen. It has been nothing short of amazing. This is another pure pop smash from Ms. Spears."

According to industry insiders, 'Hold' is set to sell an excess of 400,000 digital downloads in it's first week and also debut atop the Hot 100, marking Britney's second consecutive single to do so.

This is incredible, Britney has not even promoted or dropped a music video for the song yet. And on top of that, the second single is said be just as hot (if not hotter) than "Hold It Against Me." The album drops March 15th!!
