T.I. Farewell Concert

With only two days to go before he reports to prison, T.I. bid adieu to 16,000 fans with a Final Countdown concert at Atlanta’s Philips Arena on Sunday.

“I’m going to stand up tall, head up high,” the King of the South told the packed crowd. “Thank you for all of your support.”

Tip ran through his hits including “What You Know,” “Bring ’Em Out,” “Whatever You Like,” and “Live Your Life.” He was joined onstage by Soulja Boy Tell’em, Bobby Ray (aka B.o.B.), Big Kuntry King, Maino, and Pee Wee, one of the troubled teens he mentored on MTV’s “Road to Redemption.” At one point, he brought his five kids onstage, while he performed “No Matter What.”

Tip must report by noon Tuesday to the Federal Correction Institution in Forrest City, Ark., to serve 366 days on weapons charges. He is eligible for a 15 percent “good time” credit, which would reduce his sentence by 55 days.

“What I need y’all to do is pray for me while I’m gone,” he said before exiting. “I’ll see y’all in 366 days.”
