FacebookTwitterE-mailLegendary music stars, a Real Housewife and a reality icon will face off on the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice, premiering March 6 on NBC.

"We have some very talented people," says show host Donald Trump. For the show's fourth season, singers like Meatloaf, David Cassidy, Dionne Warwick and Latoya Jackson will compete against celebrities like NeNe Leakes, baseball player Jose Canseco, Survivor winner Richard Hatch and actor Garey Busey.

But Trump admits it wasn't always easy to get big names to sign on for the show.

"When we did the very first Celebrity Apprentice people didn't know whether to do it," he says. "But then everyone has seen all the winners have gone on to all these great things. Piers Morgan with CNN. Joan Rivers's career took off again. I can't turn on the TV without seeing Bret Michaels. He is the big superstar. They've all done so well."

Now, they're actually turning people away. "We turned down 35 to 40 people," Trump says. "We really qualify people."

The other stars who made the cut include Lil Jon, singer John Rich, Mark McGrath, Playmate Hope Dworaczyk, Marlee Matlin, Lisa Rinna, model Niki Taylor and Star Jones, whom Trump called "really, really smart."
