Rihanna got the cover treatment on “American Idol.” Season 10 contestant Naima Adedapo, 26, covered the Barbados beauty’s hit on last night’s show, throwing a reggae spin on the chart-topping single. The Milwaukee native got some help from the song’s original producer Tricky Stewart, who rearranged the track especially for her.
“Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez was impressed by her energy, Steven Tyler liked her flavor, and Randy Jackson called it pitchy, but RiRi herself approved, tweeting, “Vote for Naima!! Rah Rah!”
Watch Naima bust out her version of “Umbrella” and tell us what you think.
