Barbro Holmberg, mother-in-law to embattled golfer Tiger Woods, was released from a hospital Tuesday afternoon and is now recuperating at Woods's home in Windermere, Fla.
According to Health Central Hospital spokesman Dan Yates, Holmberg, 57, left the facility around 2 p.m. in a wheelchair, which is standard procedure in most hospitals. He said she was back at Woods's home.
Holmberg, a politician in Sweden, was taken to the Ocoee, Fla., hospital after a911 call at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, and was admitted after complaining of stomach pain. Around midday, her daughter and Tiger's wife, Elin Nordegren, arrived at the hospital with a bag.
Nordegren is one of Holmberg's three children with her former husband, journalist Thomas Nordegren. Holmberg, a member of the Social Democratic party, served as minister of migration and asylum from 2003 to 2006.
