Lindsay Lohan (Getty Images)Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in jail after being found guilty of violating the terms of her probation, following from two separate traffic accidents in 2007.

Los Angeles judge Marsha Revers, on the advice of prosecutor Danette Meyers, sentenced the 24-year-old actress to 90 days in jail.

At issue were the at least seven weekly alcohol education courses that Lohan missed, after being ordered by the court to attend at least once a week. According to Cheryl Marshall, co-owner of the DUI school Lohan was to attend, the troubled starlet offered a variety of excuses as to why she couldn't attend.

Among the reasons Lohan couldn't attend: she was filming a movie or promoting a clothing line, she was traveling and missed her flight, her uncle died (though Lohan did not attend the funeral), and she was at another court date (in reality, she was in Cannes).

Lohan tearfully addressed to court at one point, saying: "I wasn't asking for any special treatment, aside from that I have to provide for myself, I have to work, and my schedule is very different."

She will also be required to attend 90 days of drug rehabilitation. She will surrender herself to custody on July 20, 2010 at 8:30 am. She will be required to wear her alcohol-monitoring bracelet until that time.
