Gwyneth Paltrow was all smiles as she was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday afternoon. The actress' name became the 2,427th to adorn the famed sidewalk, and she gushed over the recognition.

Gwyneth was born in Los Angeles in 1972, and these days splits her time between New York and London with her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin. Chris and the couple's children weren't available for the Monday ceremony. Instead Gwyn was accompanied by Tim McGraw, who stars alongside her in the upcoming film Country Strong, and Matthew Morrison, who appeared with her on the hit show Glee.
Gwyn first gained notoriety in the mid '90s with movies such as Se7en and Emma before winning an Oscar for her leading role in the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love
