Demi Lovato (Getty Images)Alex Welch, the backup dancer who was allegedly punched by Demi Lovato shortly before Lovato was checked into rehab, has reportedly received a small sum of money in compensation.

Welch allegedly received a black eye when the Disney star attacked her on a plane but her pals revealed the Beat Freaks from America's Best Dance Crew member wanted to forget about the situation and move on, after donating some of the cash to charity.

A friend said: “It's not like she got a large settlement.

"When you consider after giving away some of the money to an organization, she's not going to get much out of it in the end.”

Another source said rumors of a large payout were untrue, adding to gossip website RadarOnline.com: "It's not even close to $100,000. Way, way less than $100,000. Alex never expressed dissatisfaction with the settlement. I think she was just ready to just move on. She's happy and moving past the situation and moving forward positively."

Alex, 21, has previously revealed the incident happened after Demi had been reprimanded about her behavior while on the Jonas Brothers tour and, believing one of the dancers had complained about her, the teenage singer-and-actress took them into a room and threatened them, saying: "If I find out who told on me...’ "

However, Alex insisted she had no idea what the 18-year-old star was referring to and was stunned when the Sonny With a Chance actress approached her on a plane the following day and punched her.

Demi left the tour immediately after the incident and checked into a treatment facility for “emotional and physical issues” where she remains at present.
