It was originally thought that she was leaving American Idol forDancing with the Stars or The X Factor, but those didn't happen. Could this song-and-dance show be her new calling? We'll see.
Apparently ABC reps wouldn't comment, and there are some loose ends that need to come together in the deal. Once it's official, we're sure we'll get the straight scoop.
The first time around, Ed McMahon hosted Star Search, which was a talent contest featuring singing, dancing, modeling, and comedy. The show helped launch Britney Spears' career, even.
