Jennifer Lopez Pushed Vera Wang Outside of Her Comfort Zone

Vera WangWhen Jennifer Lopez was one half of the ill-fated pairing affectionately known to the world as 'Bennifer,' she asked famed bridal designer Vera Wang to make her a wedding dress. As we all know, the wedding never actually took place. Now, several years later, Wang is spilling the beans about her doomed collaboration with "Jenny from the Block." She says:
It took eight months and we made three dresses. It pushed me out of my own box and comfort zone.This story does have a happy ending, though. Wang eventually made a less frilly number for Jennifer's marriage to Marc Anthony. She says nowadays many celebrities are looking for simpler dresses for their big day and it's always surprising when rock stars want the most traditional gowns.

Wang is currently being honored in “20 Years, 11 Dresses,” a museum-style retrospective of wedding gowns at Bloomingdale's on 59th Street in New York.
