Sarah Jessica Parker's Sex and the City Karaoke Outfit Cost $50,000

Karaoke on SATC2In one scene in the upcoming Sex and the City 2 movie, Sarah Jessica Parker's outfit costs more than $50,000—and she's just doing karaoke! The outfit in question includes $4,000 embellished jeans by The Blonds and a metallic lamé Chanel dress that rings up at $47,190. The price tag doesn't even include the shoes (as yet unidentified) but, given Carrie's fetish for footwear, it's safe to bet that they're expensive.

Costume designer Patricia Field must have had a field day with this movie. And if this the final installment of SATC, it might as well go out with a massive, glittery bang. The fashion budget is reported to have been about $10 million.

The other gals don equally expensive duds, including Miranda's $1,400 Roland Mouret dress, Samantha's $5,000 dress from The Blonds and Charlotte's vintage Valentino blouse. Field did mix in a few lower priced items but, never fear, there is enough glitz and glamour to go around.
