The American Music Awards are about to get a little louder. Rihanna has been tapped to kick off this year’s festivities.
Rap-Up.com has learned that the red-haired siren will take the stage to help open the awards show. The pop princess is nominated for Favorite Female Artist at this year’s show along with Sade and Alicia Keys. Previously announced performers include Usher, P!nk, and Bon Jovi.
The 38th annual AMAs will air live from Los Angeles’ NOKIA Theatre on Sunday, November 21, at 8 p.m. on ABC, five days after the release of her fifth album Loud on November 16.
Before the AMAs, RiRi will be the musical guest on the Halloween episode of “SNL” on October 30, as Rap-Up.com previously reported. She has also booked appearances on “Good Morning America,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” throughout the month of November.
In related news, Rihanna and Eminem have reunited for a sequel to their No. 1 hit “Love the Way You Lie,” reports ThisIsRnB.com. The female-skewed version, produced once again by Alex Da Kid, is set to be featured on Loud.
